Here's a question - If someone, who is new to Raw Diet (or not) discovers that they have Candida, is it wise to continue with high amounts of fruit?? Have read that you should really reduce fruit intake to almost nothing, if I remember correctly. At whatever point you find yourslef candida-free, you can start re-introducing fruit back into your diet gradually. What do you think of this??

Ya def do the rocks, however, if you have a drill that would work, might consider drilling 3 or so sm holes in bottom. Just seems to work best.

I am tryin to study up, but can't seem to find any info that answers that question in particular. We have definitely done our composting totally wrong. For a couple of months now we have been adding fresh produce scraps upon more scraps, etc. No "brown". That's the part that is really stumping me though. Where in the world can I find safe brown stuff?? Other than unused pr

My dh and I are sooo struggling to find a single nursery in the Central Valley, here, (of CA., that is) that sells organic vegetable plants (at the very least heirloom or open-pollinated would be preferred). Unbelievable how behind the times we are here in this valley. It is INCREDIBLY aggrivating as we have been working on getting our backyard ready, etc etc. If anyone here knows of anywhere

Hi All, I've heard it more than once. If you eat at least more than 50% Raw, you will avoid digestive leukocytosis. Dr. Kouchakoff, a Swiss doctor, was the first to find that if we eat a meal that is more than 51% cooked food our bodies react to that food as if it is being invaded by a foreign organism. If we eat our meals with 51% raw foods, we protect against this unwanted immune respon

Hi All, I am wanting to start a worm farm. We have an old washing machine tub out back that we'd planned on turning into a firepit, however, I think we would be better served using it as a worm farm, IF, in fact, it would work well. WHICH, is why I've come here...to ask y'all if you think it would be a good idea to do so. Ours looks alot like this one: We live where it gets VERY ho

I have been learning a bit more on Seed Savers Exchange. Great info there too. Eventually, I'd like to be able to save my seeds and grow again the next season and be able to get the exact same veggie as I got the seed from. Just tryin to plan ahead for the future. In the uncertain times, I'd like to start learning much more about sustainable living. I know very very little thus far, but am lea

Don't remember why, but I did, at one time read that the Young Green Thai Coconuts are best. However, that might have been specifically for the coconut water. Don't remember details, but guess it would be worth looking into.

There are hybrids I like also. It just seems that non hybrid would be the best choice when able. The less human-tampering, the more natural the state...the better. If I am going to garden, I might has well go for the gusto, I figure! Thanks Prana!

Thanks Vermont! What you are saying is similar to what I was told from someone else. She's from Seed Savers Exchange. She said that NOT all Heirloom's are non-hybrids so to be careful. Heirloom simply points to it's age and having been in a family for 100 or more years. Interesting. She said that what I want to look for is Open Pollinated as most all of them have never been hybridized. She sa

Hi All, I have read that it is not such a good idea to eat carrots, potatoes and even beets because they are all hybridized. I have carrots daily and beets 2-3 times per week. Yikes! Is also recommended that we avoid any seedless fruit as they are all hybrids. That I kinda knew. Even biblical really. The original design before Adam and Eve screwed things up. ha! or not so ha.
