You see anuiyer, you knew the answer all the time. Once you yourself are ABSOLUTELY convinced that what you have found is right for you~ the judgements of others just will not matter. I am in the exact same boat my friend...lets keep rowing toward what we KNOW is truth.

I think raw foodies could write a book about unwanted flagulence (sp?) I am familiar with your plight. I have been 80-90% raw for about 4 years. Just this past month I have gone 100% raw. I noticed all gas problems...gone! Until i had a salad with dressing that contained sugar, than the bloating and the gas returned. I have discovered that you have to go 100% raw with no playing around the carbs

My mom and I have been 100% raw for nearly 30 days, however we both experience dizziness (not vertigo) when we bend down or get up too soon. Any helpful suggestions on the cause and cure?

I agree with roxeli. Whenever I get cold, I need more nuts and avacados, bananas ect. Do you have a hydrator? Crackers, essene bread cookies...all enzymes still in tact with a dehydrator. I got one off the internet for 35.00 it works great! As for the disturbing dreams, sleep is fitful while your body adjusts to all of the detoxing stages. My suggetion would be bananas with almond milk before be

Henry, sounds like you want a lifestyle change not just a diet change. Good on ya! For myself, eating raw foods made me feel...well....raw! Naked, emotionally vulnerable. I could not eat 'comfort foods' to run away from how I felt so I had to look at what I was REALLY feeling in any given moment when pizza and ice-cream would scream out to me. Health is a process my friend...emotional, spiritu

You might be getting too much salt, or oddly enough not sufficient amounts. Either way the 3 lbs could just be your body's way of trying to maintain enough fluid or body fat. Perhaps you need to eat a little more, exercise and try to get a healthy balance in your life. My suggestion would be, put the scale away for now. Go by how you feel, do have enough energy? Do you feel faint? Weary? These wo

good for you Oklahoma!Give yourself a date, like I will 100% raw for one day, or 3 or 30 days. That way you don't feel trapped, like you HAVE to keep eating raw, yet you stay dedicated long enough to detox. You have read about that right? If not, amazon.com has great prices on books, and you can find TONS of info. Staying connected to other raw foodies has been my lifeline, like you I too have a

Loved your quotes MauiGreg! As for myself, I became a raw foodie after a serious illness (as most have done) and my husband of 26 years is a meat & potatos guy who wants to stay that way I just buy him a LOT of meat and he bar b ques it himself, I add all the raw fixins and dinner is served. It can be done. I would hope that most of you would stay open enough to fall in love with 'good peop

Robby, you are very fortunate to be living in Seattle! There are several raw food restaurants and from what I have read on the internet, TONS of raw food enthusiasts down there! I live north of you and even in our remote area there are raw food potlucks. Get online, type in rawfood potlucks and there is a site that tells you where in your area you can go to find one. Hang in there buddy!

I suffered for years with yeast infections and I too had a very bad 'sweet tooth' the sweets (even too much fruit) only feeds the bad bacteria. Look up candida online and read to her the sysptoms, they have a list of them. She no doubt suffers from candida that has gone systemic as I did. there is only one real cure, get off the carbs and sweet stuff. I can eat all the fruit I want now, but it to

People worry about calcium mainly because of osteoporosis.Plenty of sunshine, (for vit.D which you need in order to absorb your calcium) fresh air, weight & bearing exercises are all important componants. Also, if you are not opposed to drinking raw milk or raw colostrum you might want to give that a try. My mother (65) had severe back spine issues with osteo..the raw milk/colostrum has help

I have suffered in the EXACT same way! I feel for you, but hang in there, keep trying new foods/or new ways to combine the foods and than keep a journal on your symtoms. For me, anything with sugar or wheat (processed not sprouted) would give me gas. Eating fruit too soon after a meal will give me that awful bloated feeling. Candida is something that caused the bloating...check it out online. The

Too many avacados and nuts would be my guess. Also, you are working out a lot. You must be getting quite an appetite, I found that since going raw 100% Not only did I loose weight I did not need to exercise as much or as hard as before. Try eliminating all the nuts and avacados for a few weeks and see what happens.

Welcome aboard! The way I got started was lots of internet reading from sites like theses as well as checking out books from my local library. My suggestion would be to buy a really good blender and juicer and start there. There are lots of books on those subjects. The greens are what make the differnce, the way I felt after drinking them (especially the wheat grass) made all the difference. Be s
