I don't know, maybe it's a bit like how the Catholics adopted symbols from the Celtic folk tradition to include with their "new" religious/world view to make it more appetizing in the conversion. I mean, the way I see it, at least the tradition was upheld by someone. I guess that would change the "Keep the Christ.. "in Christmas where we put him!" i don't know, I admit to

A friend told me acids like vinegar and lemon/grapefruit juice helps remove stains. I have noticed that when I was drinking a lot of grapefruit juice, they looked much whiter.

397. Eulogy
So occasionally I hear a song that makes me think it would make a good Eulogy of sorts. (Don't mind me, I am so bored.) So, here's one for J.R.R. Tolkien - and here's one for those people that got killed from going to the craigslist ad farm and got robbed and killed (and the guy that made it.) - Anyone else have any?

I don't find the saying "Keep the Christ in Christmas" offensive. To me it just means, don't forget about the spirituality in all the materialistic hooha. I mean, isn't the symbol of Pisces, which is said to represent Chritianity, two fish - spirituality and materialism. We do live in a material world, why can't the two go together. i mean, food is a material. Gifts can be of a spiritu

That crapola scares the @#$%& out of me. I don't know why, but whenever I think of radioactive exposure like that I think of schisandra. Maybe I read it was good for it somewhere.

Have you read Women Who Run with Wolves coco? It's about reclaiming the wild "criatura" of your own soul. I'd recommend it if you haven't. (I'm not sure of your gender, but it might translate in any case.) It's based on Jung.

I think it's sad. I mean, think of what Christmas stands for. I think of Christmas as more of a folk tradition, rather than a religious one. Why can't we all celebrate all of the holidays instead of just picking one based on religion or race. I think we should all take an elementary school approach and just celebrate them all. (Though Hanukkah seems difficult.) I like Happy Holidays. I suppose Me

Are you talking to me? I just watched that video. Seems like herbalife is trying to advertise their vitamins to "raw foodists." The prices seem kind of high. (j/k, I don't know your situation.)

Wow Jgunn, what a great link, thank you. I thought that was very interesting and thought provoking. That movie raises a lot of questions. So, you wonder where they get their info. Is this a confession of sorts? Haha, just kidding. Their was this article on yahoo homepage this morning about the big corporations who were the most generous to charity. I thought, how nice, but then they didn't sa

I like tea and soup. I guess anything that adds a flavor or health benefits may help. I also like to make acai green tea. It stretches the acai flavor nicely. Maybe a quarter acai. I've been having the same problem. Watermelon/cantaloupe smoothies in the summer. Did you see the cardamom post in the recipe section? That little concoction turned out great. (At least the tea itself is raw.) I occ

i thought of a major example of something that may have involved corporate greed. Think about the rainforests being turned into methane gas fields. I live in New Jersey, and I can tell you, it sucks on "air quality alert" days. Burger King, what are you doing to remedy this situation?

This song by Muse makes me think of Occupy Wall Street. Especially when I think about all the boxes of white flour, white sugar, and cornsyrup ingredients that I used to eat unawares of how bad they are for you. I actually bought a box of wheat crackers advertising on the front, "No high fructose corn syrup!) I was so aggravated, it had just plain corn syrup in it instead. I hate when

I used to take Herbalife metabolism boosters. ( Basically their diet pills.) They worked really well before combined with regular exercise and a low fat diet. I lost forty pounds. They have a nice protein enzyme shake too. She's probably just trying to be a business person, thinks you need to go on a diet, or is jsut inteerested. Maybe she's trying to feel out your cash level or level of interest

Yeah. It did make me think though, and I know this isn't the fabric thread, but think of the landfills full of polyester and acrylic that won't degrade well. I mean, I'm under the impression that Occupy wall street was a cry against "Corporate Greed." If American leadership is anything like (which it does seem to have a similar thing going on) how Poland's historical leadership is desc

I "Occupied" my living room one day. Hung out a white acrylic sweater that my mom gave me off my balcony rail with a sign, "For sale 2 cents." Sadly, no takers, so I gave it to charity.
