I juice in the morning adn then maybe again later on in the day, once or twice. i always make more and put in the fridge. Great post, marsh, and great responses. I for myself have found that making small changes and changes one by one works best. I transitioned slowly away from certain foods over years. WIth wheat and sugar it's been 5 years now, for example. There is no chance I would ever eat it again. THere is no more craving at all, so it's easy. Instead of wheat there was something else i allowed myself to

I am certain health can be regained and no permanent damage would be done. It is not just what we put into our bodies and in what surroundings you are, your mind and attitude has a lot to do with how you are affected by things. I'd say, Just do the best you can, keep looking for the best options, but if they are not available, don't fret it. And I guess wherever you are you could do a day

I like rawgosia's idea! I travel a lot, and man, i would take the roundabout way to get to your place..... I would, however, offer either some gourmet raw stuffs to go, or some smoothies, or both. Raw vegan fastfood, what a paradoxon, haha. Otherwise may be too hard to market. You could also have one of these 'toss your own salad' things, for greens, and for fruits. Good luck!

I love this Doctor Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live

hear ya, and the color gets all darkish... talking of which, I just got a juice from WHole Foods the other day that they call Motor Oil, which was a fitting name for it (parsley, kale, beets, seaweed). I should have used it for my shower, it tasted certifiably horrible.

I was shedding for about 2-3 months, then it stopped falling out and came back thick. I also use Morrocco International Hairproducts, which may have to do with it

I've read that the symptoms you are describing could be iron or ferritin deficiency. GOtta get those greens My nails have gotten thinner since going vegan, too. My hair, however, became thicker (after falling out initially).

THanks for all the great posts, folks. I have been making my daily radish juice now three days straight. have yet to find the dark ones. The red ones from Whole Foods are not too hot straight up. Thanks fr the Lugol's advice, I am familiar with it. Wasnt enough to get me off my Armour/Cytomel, but I will try it again. Right now I am juicefeasting and a bit worried all those cruciferous j

How about grapes? Ripe pears are a squishy nightmare for the greenstar, too, LOL. Do you juice the tops of radishes? How bout carrot greens? Any favorite juice recipes? And lastly: having a bit o

Anyone heard about this? Juiced radishes are supposedly potent enough to cure an underactive thyroid. i'd love to know if anyone has had success with this.

rawrnr, great posts above - do what feels right for YOU. One of my favorite books is 'Eat To Live' by Fuhrman. One thing that struck me about his work is that he is, albeit he is very low fat, advocating to eat 1 oz of nuts/seeds, else fatloss can come to a halt (one needs some fat to lose fat). I have not eaten any overt fats at all for a while and my blood work showed that I can barely

Watercress is, according to Fuhrman, potent against H Pylori Its a cruciferous vegetable. Whole Foods has them in their salad bars sometimes, that's where I first got aware of them

Watercress, arugula and cabbage (juiced or eaten raw) can be very helpful against H. Pylori. Cabbage juice was used to cure bleeding peptic ulcers back in the 1950s by Garnett Cheney

I wonder if this could have to do with fluid retention. On Atkins a lot of weight loss is due to the fact that glycogen is lost. Each glycogen molecule holds 4 water molecule, so as soon as glycogen reserves start filling up again, water is retained. I was a low carber for 2 years, made my body terribly acidic. Low carb is deceiving in that it allows you to eat a whole chicken or 15 eggs wit

Hi Kwan, funny, I was thinking about skipping those parts (powders, supplements, oils, bee pollen), too. I do need to take an Omega supplement, but Ill just take my own (Fuhrman's purity). My last lipid panel made my Doc say she was worried I'd be able to make my own hormones with cholesterol (?) levels so low. Im a little concerned about travelling, may bring green powder for the trip. Did

I was under the impresssion that a lot of the fruits on your list only turn acidic if ingested with other fruit or foods. Monoeaten, items like watermelon for ex are highly alkalizing. Maybe when eaten alone they woud work?
