wow, u guys are so creative. I used to cut fresh sweet potato or yams (idk which one, the orange red kind) and use them as "chips" for guacamole. and I used to grate them in my salad. I don't care for them too much anymore tho. regular potato always makes me feel gross after eating it. I didn't know anyone could eat regular potato with out feeling grossness?

I love how arugula always tries to back up her opinions with science. thanks agugula for the insight on viruses. that spider virus is very cool, indeed. It reminds me of one of Sid's toys in the Pixar moive, Toy Story (the 'bad' kid that tortures toys). It could be a random battle monster in a role playing game or adventure like comic. Arugula, i know this is a little personal, and u d

I stopped getting my periods, but i felt so clean and fresh and clear... moreso then i ever have. i went to the doctor and they gave me some blood tests and they all came back normal except my electrolite balance was off by two or something. not sure what that means? at wha

I hate preparing foods. I my diet consists of plain fruits, salads, juices, and smoothies. even still it's rare I make salads because i'm just that lazy. =| I mean preparing foods is cool, i just don't like to live in the kitchen I guess. Its really fun, but then I feel bad about eating something that took forever to make. I'd rather frame it, and then if I'm going to frame somethin

bryan, what does overt stimulant mean? would you still notice healing in your body if you ate "overt stimulants?" as opposed to garlic and peppers? does cacao have caffeine in it? Is there any part of the fruit you can eat besides the beans? How come it is always processed in stores? I never see it fresh. I know it's kind of off topic. I'm just curious.

Eating late at night is no good. I read it is very common for people, and it is also a problem that is dangerous and very overlooked. If I ever eat late I wake up groggy, gross feeling, and I have difficulty remembering my dreams. I think it's good for the whole body to rest while the body is resting. Otherwise you have to wake up tired and groggy with a stomach full of undigested food.

I think starting out with a blender is a great idea. You can grow your own wheatgrass on those little styraphome trays that the spinach comes in or like what they sell everything in at Trader Joes (or some other cheap tray like container.. the stiraphome trays work well). blend it in a blender with some water, and then run it through a strainer. I often wonder how much money farmers mak

made a cold turkey transition from a vegan lifestyle in january of 05. before that I was vegan for about three or four months, and before that I was vegitarian on and off since I was about idk 9 or something. Never been a big meat eater. I don't think there was ever a time in my life where I ate meat every day. However, I can think of plenty of meat eaters that were healthier then I was with

If I am ever trying to accomplish something difficult for me, I evaluate my reasons for wanting to achieve X goal. I think of a symbol to represent my vision, and i paste the symbol on my door, and in other places I look at (that people wouldn't generally understand besides me). for example, I work out because I want to feel and look great. I want to be strong, and working out helps me achie

eating too many grapes make my stomach feel funny, too. it's not burning, but it's something.... I think it is either because of the ammounts of sugar or fiber. apples are similar in theway they make my stomach feel, but not nearly as bad. Whenever I eat grapes I always have to eat something else in order to feel normal. I usually just avoid them even tho they are like my top three fav

grow your own sprouts shop at farmers markets buy things like carrots, celery, and banana. buy foods that are in season. you don't need a dehydrater (probably even be better off without it). save money on products like soap and face wash by making your own out of things like coconut oil/bakingsoda/honey/lemonjuice ect. there are a few threads on this subject on this board u can se

i love what suvine said about how alls he's saying is "blah blah," and you interrpret it a certain way. So simple, yet so wise. I love Suvine and her no nonsense ways. She makes so much sense. Where it will take one person half an hour to explain something, she will say the same thing in two sentences all blunt, and I feel like, well duh, of course. so simple. The world needs mo

it's cool. i find it very helpful. great w greens. remember to lube up the shaft and cover w coconut oils so it doesn't squeak. i think it's very good for the price. worth it if u are primarily interested in juicing greens. i used to add apple for the bitterness, but now i only add just a litte bit of lemon because it tastes fresher.

a lot of people use coconut oil for moisturizer and to wash their face with. it works very nice. I've also heard of people using lemon, sesami seeds, honey, rose water, avocado and baking soda for skin cleansing. these "products" work surprisingly well.

maybe try an avocado? maybe mix it in w some greens even. that usually helps me out w fatigue. nuts just about always make me feel fatigue. also, eating too much makes me feel fatigue. also maybe try some green juices. this always gives me energy and elevates my mood. For my body the less it has to work to digest the better I feel and the more energy I have. the body doesn't have to
