thanks everyone for your replies. i feel better knowing i'm not the only one having trouble with this way of eating. little by little i think i'll get it. like you've all said, i give myself room to cheat for now until i don't have to anymore. can't wait for that day.

thank you slimlady, i just started excercisin regularly again. it feels great once you get there. it's just getting there that's difficult. well, i support you as well and feel that you can get back into running if that is what you want. i know it's hard to change your diet, start excercising, and be disciplined all at the same time. it's overwhelming and scary at times.

hi slimlady, i want to pursue this diet for all the health reason's possible. i'm sick of feeling like ----. i've always been very active and healthy but have been sucked into a hole of misery within myself when it comes to food. i want to of course lose weight but just my overall wellness. i'm sick of poisoning my body with the wrong foods that society has made too convenient. thank you. i would

hi taylor, i haven't been on these threads too often and i'm struggling with the "raw" way of eating but seeing you so happy and vibrant is very encouraging. not only the weight loss which is phenomenal but you just look happy. it's great to see and makes me want to continue trying to eat this way. thanks, Laura

thank you david. i agree with you. i've been trying to go 100% raw from the start and i don't think that's the way to go now. i'm usually an "all or nothing" kind of person. i will stop listening to my brain (it only causes havoc anyway haha) and start listening to my body. it'll be a big challenge because my brain is very stubborn. i really appreciate your words of encouragement david.

hello to all. i have completely fallin off the raw diet. it has been so hard for me. i believe in it but it gets difficult, expensive, and a little lonely. by lonely i mean no one around me eats this way or understands it. i don't know what to do to keep myself in line. waaah. haha. it's rough trying to be healthy.

i guess that would be will power. it's just trying to be stronger than the cravings. that's the hard part but i am definitely going to keep trying. thanks mtnkathy. how long did it take you to go 100% raw.

hi bryan, i've tried going only 70% raw or so and i just seem to go back to my old way of eating eventually. i do love to eat fruit, nuts and veggies but my body craves the unwanted. i think ,like what mtnkathy said, that i'm addicted to cooked foods and maybe need to go 100%. i don't really know. i've definitely gotten better but still binge on cooked foods. do they have a "cooked foods ano

hi mtnkathy, thanks for the advice. i think you're right. i think i am really addicted to cooked foods. if i don't eat it for a week, i binge on everything i'm not supposed to eat. it's very weird but i truly believe i'm addicted. i'm going to start cold turkey 100% eating raw as of tommorrow. only because i've already had some brown rice with chopped nuts. i can tell with certain foods that i am

also, in the teen years for kids, i believe, it's the hardest time for them because of their peers. their peers are the most influential people in their lives. kids are so mean to each other and it sticks with them. maybe forever. even when girls aren't fat, other girls will say they are due to jealousy or whatever. but, i will have to say, having your childs grandparent call her fat would push m

hello, i can relate to most of what has been discussed here. i've never been anorexic but i do tend to overeat. every single day of my life, i think about food and my weight. i've never had a problem with weight before but of course age, having kids and just poor diet has made me obssessive about all of it. i feel i do had an ED because of the constant, daily worry about weight. i have a teen age

hi taylor, i agree with everyone else. you went for 3 days and your body's telling you to stop. maybe try again some other time and go a day or two longer than last time. you have a lot of will-power. i could never do it. thanks, laura

rawgosia and arugula, thanks. i beleive you have to listen to your body more than anything. i hear it, i just don't always listen. it's hard though when you hear one thing and then the next day, you hear that it's bad for you. but, i'll just keep trying to stay raw.

if "they" just make stuff up, who can we believe? there are so many different studies and so on which makes it confusing to beginners.

hi dr. gabriel, this was a great peice to read. you've answered alot of my questions about the amount of fat to consume on this raw way of eating. i have been on this diet for about a week and it's rough but i'm learning alot from this site. what about eating raw fish(sashimi) for omega 3?

hi sgc, my name is laura. i've only been doing this for about a week but haven't felt that way. i'm usually always hungry but my energy has gotten better. i would also wonder if not eating much throughout the day is a good idea. i've learned over the years that when you don't eat, your body goes into starvation mode and that that isn't so good. i'm not real sure about that especially since you ea

hello greenman, i know what you're feeling. my husband and kids aren't raw eaters and i have to cook for them everyday. it's very hard. i'm like taylor; if i take a bite of cooked food, i usually eat the whole entree, including the table. it's hard to have will power like that to stop yourself but the first few times you can do it, it becomes a little easier times after that.
