hmmm... what was it about?" It was about penguins;consensual reality and the difficulties of being different; having a vision and maintaining faith and conviction in the midst of opposition; awareness and the overcoming of ignorance, and... about cool tunes, heart songs, and, of course, happy feet! Very sweet! khale Re: what is your favorite movie

My kids all drew smiley faces on their feet . So now they all have happy feet. Except the little middle. She had one happy and one sad. Re: what is your favorite movie

Date: April 02, 2007 05:24PM La veronique, where did you get that documentary about How to make sunflower sprout juice ?Im very interested about that.
There's a documentary called Amazonia,it's about the indians there and the plant that raises your conscious. Very interesting. This guy goes there with his pregnat wife and their 5 year old baby to stay with the indians. They, the indians and the guy, take the herb and had a huge trip, and the chef indian tells the guy all the health problems that he had.back home the doctors told the guy the same thing. Has a religion called Santo D'aime that uses that herb, it's legal,in Brasil. I saw it in www.thelastoutpost.com Re: what is your favorite movie

Date: April 11, 2007 03:59AM The Story of the Crying Camel-- if you can, do see it. It's a beautiful docudrama about a Tibetan family and their camel. I don't want to give away the main event-- it's stunning. Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: what is your favorite movie

Date: April 12, 2007 02:42PM Oh, okay. . . ;-)
There's this mother camel that has a very difficult birthing experience-- it's her first time-- and she almost totally rejects her colt. It's hard for the colt to get milk from her, and most of the time the family has to milk her and feed the baby camel the milk-- so sad. You see this adorable little white camel (mom is brown) crying and kind of 'mew'ing and walking around in a daze, following after mummy, wanting comfort and milk, to no avail. Mom is making distressed and angry sounds. The Tibetan family that owns the camels sends the two young sons off on camels to a town a few miles away to bring this violinist to play healing music for the mother camel. He plays, while one of the young women sings a special song apparently written specifically for the purpose of restoring the maternal instinct. Well, believe it or not the mother camel gets really transfixed by the music and eventually it sure looks like she's crying buckets-- the tears are just pouring out of her eyes. She starts making sounds that cause one of the family members to say "She is sounding all right now." (It's so cute-- the whole family is camped out by the camels as this musical healing is taking place, breathlessly waiting for the resolution of the problem.) Next thing you know, the grateful humans are gently pushing the baby camel over to mommy, and mother and baby are bonding. It's just really touching. Date: April 15, 2007 03:34PM Anybody seen "Resurrection" with Ellen Burstein (sp?)? Great spiritual/counter-cultural movie about a woman who has a near death experience and wakes up with healing powers and helps a lot of people. Saw it for the second time a few nights ago. I think it's based on a true story. I highly recommend it. Sharrhan: [www.facebook.com] Re: what is your favorite movie

Date: May 03, 2007 06:04AM I really liked The Constant Gardener, partly because I like Ralph Fiennes a lot.
I really like the docs by Michael Moore and others. The Enron one was interesting, a great example of how whistle-blowers are usually ignored. Re: what is your favorite movie

Date: May 08, 2007 03:12AM I just saw the new Lassie movie--the one with Peter O'Toole.
Cried the whole way through it. Had to take periodic breaks to give my own collies hugs. In the DVD player now: Eugene Onegin with Ralph Fiennes and Liv Tyler. This one is a gut wrencher also, but for entirely different reasons. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
