I was on talk radio tonight!

Date: July 31, 2008 04:51AM Earlier this evening I was on the local community radio talk show talking about the raw food diet. I shared about my experience with raw foods, trying to appeal to a more mainstream audience about the value of increasing fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet.
If you like to hear this radio show check out either this streaming audio or download this .mp3 recording. The streaming audio plays in iTunes (at least on the Macintosh) and the mp3 will work in any mp3 player. Or alternatively here is a Talk Radio link (See the Wed, July 30 7pm talk). Check it out if you'd like to hear yours truly. Re: I was on talk radio tonight!

Date: July 31, 2008 07:08AM It was good how call-in questions on cooked foods were addressed. Instead of jumping on the 'cooked food is poison' bandwagon, realistic practical answers were given. Also speaking about transition instead of going cold turkey was a good idea since the latter isn't easy for most people. Wishing you vibrant health Re: I was on talk radio tonight!

Date: July 31, 2008 03:55PM Bryan......I just listened to your Radio Interview. With the phone
questions, I thought you did a great job of not 'forcing' the Issues, but taking each caller where they were. I noticed that most of the Vegetarians had a Coffee Problem. One even mentioned he liked the morning 'ritual'. I liked the way you ended the show by encouraging everyone to "Go out there and try something". The Moderator did a nice job too. Keep spreading the Word.....WY P.S. I thought your best advice came when you challenged everyone to 'leave off' something for a while then come back to it to see where they really stand. Date: July 31, 2008 05:37PM A most excellent interview Bryan.
I love how you gracefully covered the social implications of raw, transitioning and recovering from emotional attachments to food and your explanation of the shrinkage effect when you lose fat is the best I've ever heard. It will help me explain this to others who tell me I'm getting "too skinny". ;-) Thank you! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/31/2008 05:38PM by rawangel. Re: I was on talk radio tonight!

You are so sweet and lovely. I always love your energy here on the boards, and I loved it just as much on the audio. My favorite part was when you talked about the cycle of energy and how foods are converted to sugar for energy. Many people don't know this and it can really help them break from the mentality that we get our energy from protein. Thanks for sharing, Bryan! Lots of love to you, Wendi XOXOXO p.s. I love the prayer/song at the end of the recording. Re: I was on talk radio tonight!

Date: August 04, 2008 06:18PM Thank you all for the feedback and support. The folk I do yoga with told me that the interview had clarity and that they could feel the moderator's and my energies over the radio waves. After that interview was over, the moderator and myself found ourselves quite high from just doing the interview. We had such a great time with it.
I also had fun making the promotional public service announcement for the radio show using Garage Band on the Macintosh. Garage Band allows you to start with a music track and fade it under a vocal announcement track and the results are quite nice. Re: I was on talk radio tonight!

Date: August 04, 2008 07:04PM I definitely got high from listening to the show. And it's true, no medium could hold back the energy you guys were projecting. I picked it up on the other side of the country. Great work. Re: I was on talk radio tonight!

Date: August 07, 2008 11:51AM Great! I too thought that the explanation of why our muscles appear to shrink when the fat in the muscles is lost, was inspired. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
