Eaglefly, my health goals do not happen to include a one to satisfy the expectations of other people, men or women. Instead, my goals are to feel healthy, athletic and beautiful for myself. As an intelligent women, I will always oppose some men imposing their expectations on how women should be shaped. Do not like skinny? Too bad. I'd rather be skinny in your eyes than suffer from all the health problems that I had before. Anorexic? Hardly. I exercise several times a week and have muscles to prove it, I swim 1km leaving grown men behind me, and according to my recent assessment by a fitness trainer, my results are perfect. Of course, I keep improving as I continue to challenge myself in terms of athleticism (and I fully recovered from a disc injury not long ago). In the photo before I had more fat, less muscles and a multitude of health problems. Prefer a sick woman as a companion? Too bad, it ain't gonna put a dent in my approach to my health. I'd rather have a partner who understands what health is anyway. This is my honest response.

You look so much better in the after photos! The improvement in your skin tone is amazing! I am a woman of a similar age as you, and have loved going to your website in the past to look at all your pictures -- it gives me a lot of hope about how raw foods can make your face look so much younger and fresher, even if you are in the middle years of life.

You can bet on an amazing improvement! I went raw at the age of 40 and noticed a dramatic change occurring in my face only after some weeks on raw. This diet works wonders indeed and I feel so lucky to have decided to take a plunge. Fruit is amazingly hydrating, wonderful for the skin and the whole body. Of course, exercise is crucial too. I had a disc injury in 2007 and it took me a long time to recover from it, so I am not up to my full potential yet. Being active makes a big difference in terms of how I feel, and look, of course.

You can do it, Mindy! Expect the unexpected too. Lots of little presents coming your way just for eating yummy foods and doing thing you love, effortlessly.

Gosia you rawk! Your pics are great, you look so lighthearted in the after photos, a quality that seems missing in the before photo.

Gosia, I think you look loads better in the after pics too,you have a much stronger glow, than in the older photograph must be all those bio photons (light energy) in fresh foods. You look younger too in the after photo

That is way cool! I saw the photo of you dancing in the red dress, without knowing it was you. I actually thought it was a teenager, or twenty something. I thought to myself, wow its so trendy with gen Y.

You don't have to say you age, but the photo with the red turtle neck does not look like the Rawgosia I have seen on living foods. Despite what someone else says, I like the Rawgosia in the now!

Mislu, I hate that before photo, I am really embarrassed of how I looked then, I admit it took some of my courage to display it to the world (which I did at last this year), I only do it because I think it might benefit others to see the results.

I have changed after going raw, but I also have changed after going fruit, and then I am changing yet again after going active (I had a disc injury 3 years ago which was a major step back for me but I am finally getting on top of the things).

la-veronique, that flower is not a real one, I actually am not sure what it is supposed to represent (I am quite good at forgetting names). I will try to find out what it is. Some of my friends from belly dance will sure know. The photo is from a Tahitian dance workshop by the way.

I am hoping that someone else will contribute here their before and afters too.

I think you look younger now. Before, your face was kind of starting to sag and bags under your eyes.

I can't post before and after pics. Too bad I didn't have a Before,After and then back on SAD pics so everyone could kick my ass for what I did to myself. LOL I'm now at the highest weight I've ever been in my life due to messing up my metabolism and body and stress and other things I had going on. Will NEVER do this to myself again.

oh i found out

it is hibiscus

i LOVE those flowers so much

makes me happy every time i see them

i used to put them behind my ears

but i never was sure what it was called

one time an ant almost crawled into my ear

i could feel it

so then i brushed it off and now am kind of reluctant to put one behind my ear

unless i am sure that there are no ants

Thank you for having courage. I think the change is impressive, and will help people to see the difference. I wish there was a way to take a photo how someone feels internally, that would be an impressive difference I am sure also.

You look good in both pictures, but much more carefree and even younger in the second picture.

I've been raw going on 4 years here soon. I keep modifying the lifestyle and have been doing low fat for about 5 months. It has made a huge difference!
