One organic cuke: $1 2 garlic scapes (first time purchased also) @ .25 each 5 ears corn (I ate one raw cob when I got home) @ .50 each Re: Farmers' Market Haul

I get to the one near my house as soon as it opens every Wednesday and sack the place. Lots of amazing stuff without pesticides and super fresh!! Re: Farmers' Market Haul

Date: June 30, 2012 07:23PM Ha ha, no smartphone (or any cell phone, for that matter!). I don't take pictures of everything I do. I know it's common these days to document one's life but I would rather be here now and just experience it.
Wednesday is a nice day for a farmers market. If anyone has ideas about garlic scapes, do tell. I tried it and it was amazing--very intense garlicky goodness... Re: Farmers' Market Haul

Date: July 02, 2012 03:52AM You have motivated me to get to a farmer's market again this weekend. I've gone once this summer and been out of town other weekends. The Wednesday ones here are too far. Re: Farmers' Market Haul

Date: July 02, 2012 09:09AM Haha... I don't have any of that newfangled wireless stuff either.
But I've got a laptop and a webcam. I will take some low quality PIXX for you all when I go Wednesday. And you can see how many gorgeous tomatoes I eat! I work all day Sunday. =( Can't make it any of the big ones... Re: Farmers' Market Haul

Blueberries at $5 a quart was a bit steep for me...But I will admit that when I tasted one of the sample berries it was so blueberry-ish! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
