Date: June 18, 2007 05:27AM its about a hyper inteligent gorilla (Ishmael) who learns to communicate telepathically, and seeks out students to educate on the issues that he understands, that of 'captivity'.
Ishmael seperates human beings on the planet into TAKERS (the civilized) and LEAVERS (the all but wiped out nomadic and semi-agrarian 'tribes'). In a nutshell (The book is Ishmael's lectures ) Ishmael explains how the TAKERS assume that the rule of survival depends on keeping the resources under lock and key. and also that their failures (enviornmental damage etc..) would be synonomous with man's failures. even though the model set by the LEAVERS actually functions at an appropriate level for the surroundings where, untempered, yields abundance and plenty (until of course it is 'upset' by the TAKERS) ps I can't sleep. ug. la_v.....I hope you'll try some Wheatgrass Juice. I drink mine straight...using a little 'shot glass', taking 1 ounce at a time. Swish it around in your mouth for a while before swallowing. Your whole mouth will come alive....makes those gums nice and pink too. I've been doing a Watermelon Flush the past couple of days. Found the best little melons at my local store. They're not Organic, but are sweet, and the rind juice is dark and rich.....it 'feels' right, so why not? [www.dulcinea.com] Re: Juice Feasting for Fun

ana....I hear you on the Watermelon Rind. I have a ton of it in my frig waiting to be juiced. I think what I'll start doing is eating the melon then later juice the rind before eating any more melon. That way it won't accumulate.....WY Re: Juice Feasting for Fun

I'.. pass on the wheatgrass for now ( still like all my other greenz though) maybe after i've taken a polar bear run... i'll lose my mind and start drinking the grass hey anaken: funny thing about how the grapefruit rind ruined your juice made me laugh but i actually felt bad for ya i once did that with garlic the ENTIRE juice tasted like MUCHO garlic man it hurt my stomach too jgunn: tell me how the ishmael story goes it may be a while before i go on another book binge ( then again, i never know when i will be seized by the uncontrollable urge to read about super intelligent gorillas doing cerebral guerilla warfare on TAKERS) my juice tastes nice today and it is still green i will be hanging out with some friends today i will just drink my juices ( or their juices) and all will be fine i'm getting to be a pro at the fine art of hanging out with friend without eating their sad looking grub "call me veroniqueshmael" Re: Juice Feasting for Fun

well I ended up with no mid-day juice and a failed trip to the bus-station to get outta dodge..but after taking a dam bus TO the bus station had the wrong schedule and my pop had to pick me up and bring me to the train. at that point I had enough with feeling woozy while traveling..so decided to end the juice job before I had to sit through cell conversations on the train back to the big city in a dizzy state..and dealing with subway farers etc... so today was just 12:00 green juice grapefruit rind combo..that I hardley touched and made me ill then I watched the passion of the christ. (great combo-abombo with the rind juice) and then at 5:30 or so I squashed 2+ lbs of grapes..finished off another 2 lbs by 7:30 or so no worries...was actually when I INTENDED to finish off the fast..clocked 100 hrs total. so yeah, that was fun.. now begins fruit feast 07..untilllll next month...haha actually i'm gonna do 10 days or so of light mono fruit eating..maybe some avos thrown in for 'kicks' then a short water fast. gonna try to keep up this routine every month. LaV I'v had certain images/songs trigger all sorts of things during fasts or periods of light eating/detoxing..sometimes I would just seize those triggers and have a instant response...useful tool if you want to get out the bad vibes..or if you are a budding actress..heh Re: Juice Feasting for Fun

its so true i too get "flashbacks" usually very happy or compelling ones of the past especially childhood memories of playing in the jungle gym etc. don't ask me why it just happens and i don't mind at all then there are the not so happy stuff ( but they aren't memories just moods so its a toss up) well, yesterday , i ate some fruit... but it was deelish and made me feel happy so i actually felt like i accomplished something great by eating it but today, i'm gonna do a *** cuz i need to get into a trance like state ( (cuz helps me to focus so *** has its charming utility as well, very pragmatic in certain cases like NOW) hey JJ u greenstar fan , you what's happening? what juices are u kicking it with? WY do you do yoga while you drink wheatgrass? then you could be wheatgrass yoga yogi too then we'd have to make you WYY instead of just WY ( which always make me think of Wyoming) i don't know anything about Wyoming. no one ever talks about it i don't even know if i spelt it correclty what on EARTH happens in that state, anyhow? yeay!! yeah, sometimes my dreams are affected by the JF they are usually good maybe that's why i like doing this its a wonder i don't do this every day considering all the pluses i get from it <<"One day at a time, Sweet Jesus"...isn't that the way the song goes?.....WY>> well, if u sing it, i might recognize it by the sounds otherwise... but , regardless the song does have a fair amount of brains .. uh.. that line alone does, anyways. funny thing this morning i had to put apples in my juice but right now, just drinking the greens straight and its tasting "sweeeeeeeeeettttt" maybe my taste buds changed luv it Re: Juice Feasting for Fun

Date: June 26, 2007 08:15AM Ver....*+*....You wouldn't want me to sing it. I think it's an old Negro Spiritual (as we used to say in the South, before the term 'Black' was coined and before we knew any better).
I'm going on a 2-week Juice Fast before I fly to NY to visit a friend of mine. I'm going to 'break' with her diet for 3 days just to see how I feel. She's a long time 100% Raw Vegan, and I think 100% Organic now that she's given up frozen Durian. She's a real Inspiration to anyone following a Dietary Path, no matter which one. My Juice Fast will include strictly Wheatgrass, Celery, and Carrot. I'm going to stay away from the sweet Fruit. It makes me not want to drink my Wheatgrass Juice. That reminds me of something another friend told me. When her 2 boys were little she gave them a drink of Wheatgrass Juice. She said the look on their faces convinced her never to do that again. If she had raised them on WGJ rather than the sweet stuff, they would have taken it with a smile......WY P.S. I haven't told her yet. Should I? P.P.S. *** days are here to stay (for 2 weeks anyway). What are your plans Ver? Have you cleaned out your frig yet? Re: Juice Feasting for Fun

Date: June 26, 2007 01:31PM I will definetely go on the two week fast with you. Its good to be journeying with another.
I 'm just feeling plain HAPPY nowadays and I think the JF is helping big time. Don't know quite how to explain it... but its so true and I don't want my high to end ( just being honest). Yesterday was probably one of the most happiest days of my life. Strangley enough, though, I just feel that it just gets better and better. I have no idea why. But its a strong feeling. I feel giddy right now. I drank quite a bit of greens yesterday and about a pint this morning. I think u ought to sing the song. do it, i tell u, DO IT! or at least provide me a link as far as me cleaning out my fridge i'm at a good pace i mean, its LOADED with verdancy and keeping the juicing very consistent so far so good and planning it to continue in that vein oh yeah, i didn't add any apples to my greenies last two days but i did mix it with coconut juice it lends it a nice sweet flavor without being overpowering what's your take on coconut juice do you do it? do you like it? i heard that song on a country radio channel, ( i think)... i know i heard it SOMEwhere.. probably country music ( which i listen to when there is nothing else good on the other stations... yeah it would be nice for the coconut to have more juice so i wouldn't spend so much time hacking it with a cleaver the white coconut part is separate so u can just leave it alone anyhoo... day is going well had a nice walk and conversation with a friend early this morning a real good way to start out the day he even brought his dog along with him too and we swung on the swings at the park cuz i felt like it that was fun though i think i swung too high and then i felt dizzy for swinging too much and had to get off the slide even in preschool i would do that pump up the slide swing thing as high as i could throw my head back and make myself dizzzzzzy some things never change Re: Juice Feasting for Fun
