Here are some pictures at various points of my raw process. This first picture is 1 year before going raw, on my 40th birthday, before I had my injury that led me to yoga.

This next picture is 1 year after starting raw on my 42nd birthday, when I had started 80/10/10, was in the middle of my detox, and I was on my leave of absence from work. I was at my lowest weight a few months before this picture (pre 80/10/10).

This is me after being raw for for nearly 4 years, at 45 years old. By this time I had already moved away from San Francisco to live in rural northern California.

This is me in 2006, at 46 years old. I've grown out my facial hair, and have lost my city look for the country look.

I think you look 35 in the 42 year old pic and 25 in the pic where you are 45! Awesome

Its great to see everyone with such beaming healthy eyes! i love it!

This is me @ a Reveging site i was involved in, i went back a 2 months later to see the progress, this end of it was flooded when it rained, so unfortunately alot of the plants were ripped out with the force of the water flow. where i am standing it drops down into a creek with fresh flowing cold water, before we started on the site, it was covered in dominating weeds and the native animals were having to find other habitat as what they needed these weeds couldnt provide. I was unaware my photo was being taken!

Thanks for the compliment. In that picture where I am 45, it had been a long day for me. I woke up that morning at 3:30am, drove an hour and a half on a windy mountain road to get to the Humboldt airport, took a 1 hour propeller plane ride to San Francisco, switched to a jet, and flew for 4 hours to Austin, Texas. I rented a car, drove an hour of so to downtown Austin, went to Whole Foods to buy some fruit and check out their raw deli, went to my motel near the university, did some yoga, took a shower, and drove 45 minutes to a Texas style barbecue. Here I was, surrounded by more meat than I've ever seen in my life, there's a stuffed cow torso/head mounted on the wall with animated eyeballs and mouth telling jokes. The person who took the photo said she saw and experienced my peace, and she wanted to capture that on a picture. In fact, I was experiencing a lot of love, peace, and bliss in the midst of the chaos of that Texas barbecue. And it had been a long day.

Bryan, have you continued 811 since the 45-year-old photo? It seems that you have put on weight slightly since then, or is it an optical illusion due to your beard and you smiling in the last photo?

My photo has been taken around my first year of raw. My most recent has been taken at a Hobart raw food party, in the botanical gardens (I am opening a durian): [www.raw-pleasure.com.au] My family is there too.

Yes, I am still on 811, and I haven't gained weight. It is optics. I would blow dry my hair if I went out for a night on the town (as in the first 3 pics). Bigger hair makes the face seem smaller. Plus I am wearing a bulky rain jacket, clothing underneath that, and I am squatting on the ground. By the way, that is mallow in my hand, a wild edible green, kind of mucilaginous. I was chomping away on the various greens that had grown in the spring (mostly arugula and mallow).

Is that "have to" or "get to" march naked? "Get to" implies its something you want to do, where as "have to" implies some sort of coercion

Bryan, where you in San Francisco last year? Particularly, were in Cafe Gratitude (Harrison @ 20th)? If I didn't see you, it was somebody who looked very much like you.

There's a good chance that was me. Especially if the day of the week was Thur-Sun. Every couple of months I visit San Francisco, and I love to go to Gratitude in the Mission.

DAMN!!!!! I really sorry I didn't introduce myself. You looked just like you do in your current picture. I think you were even wearing the same yellow coat. You where talking with one of the Cafe Gratitude people when I saw you, which (well, I'm really shy) put me off interupting and finding out if you were who I thought you were.

Ahhh, my loss, I would have loved to meet you in person.

So, I live about six blocks from the Mission Cafe Gratitude, and I have a spare bedroom. So, let me know if you need a place to stay in SF the next time you visit (I'm sure you much have lots of friends you can stay with in SF, just trying to give you more possibilities and offers).

LOL you guys, it was kind of freaky, we kept having to block the photogrpahers photographing our behinds, lol, it was bad, but all these people came and every news channel and photographers so we got the word out that KFC is like the holocaust FOR CHICKENS!!! I got a bunch of peta points, so soon I may win a free peta backpack..1 1/2 years now I have been earning points..
