Thanks. I am looking for a place that I can get all of the different varieties in one place and single shipments and was hoping for personal testimonials of loving the quality of some source. I see all kinds of places to buy them online, but after the disappointment of the quality of the last ones, I need personal recommendations.

Well I wouldn't consider 6 TB. of fat, high fat. What about all the other food in the diet and vegetables etc.? 9-14 pieces of fruit is a good amount of fruit, depending on what type of fruit and the size of the fruit. I'm not talking about Fruitarian standards of 50 bananas a day (I can't eat more then 2 pieces of fruit at a time). But for a lot of those people advocating the high fat diets or a

What place online has the best quality raw organic nuts and seeds? Everything is so exp. locally and I can only find a few things. Locally they are like $12-22 lb at the stores for walnuts, almonds and cashews etc. I found a store called Shopnatural.com that had great prices on raw organic nuts and so I ordered a bunch of them. Anyone order from there before? I'm just not so sure about th

I don't get it either. If you can have both fruit and fat raw, and they both provide good calories and nutrition, why would you have to choose between the two. Fruit and Fat would be the bulk of the calories and then greens and vegetables. I like both, I just don't like to eat fruit and fat in the same meal. I like to eat fruit alone.

I get canker sores all the time. I just had one on my inner cheek that was right up against my upper teeth. So it was constantly abrased by my teeth. It was huge too, the size of like a pumpkin seed and really raw and sore. It hurt so bad to even just open my mouth, I could hardly eat or speak for weeks. It's healing now. They heal on their own, however finding the cause is harder. I've always go

That is VERY strange! That is so odd, how come I've never heard about that before? I never knew that wasps or any insects laid their eggs and hatched in figs. Are there any other fruits that are like that as well? It's one thing if certain foods occasionally get an insect on or in them, and another if all of a certain food has them living and hatching in them. It's like their cocoon or someth

And yet rawaholics use teflex sheets in their dehydrators. Smart! Teflex leaches fluoride and aluminum. Iron leaches too and can be toxic. Stainless steel doesn't really leach as long as you don't put acidic food in it. There are glass saucepans but if you are not actually cooking food in it and eating the food it doesn't matter. You can get cheap stainless steel pots from Ikea or Amaz

I'd love to go for a natural source of lecithin but I thought the only high sources were eggs and soy. I also heard that sunflower seeds have some and cabbage but not as high, but I've never heard about sesame seeds being high in lecithin. Can you direct me to a source that shows the exact quanties in these raw food sources? That's good to know. I was also thinking for a few recipes that I wa

Is there such a thing? I've only seen "GMO-FREE" Lecithin. The problem though is with this and other extracts, is what do they use as a solvent to extract it? Most herbs just use alcohol or water as a solvent. Some things use mechanical extraction. I've heard that for lecithin they always use hexane or acetone (isn't that nail polish remover?). Are there any out there that don't use

So that means fruit juices are bad too because the fiber has been removed and it's no better then drinking a glass of maple syrup. Maple syrup and other sweeteners are not refined. They don't have fiber but are usually only consumed mixed up with foods and dishes that do have fiber, not consumed on their own. They also have nutrients and minerals in them. White sugar however even if mixed

Can you get peas or lentils or any other legumes you can sprout? They only take 1-2 days to sprout and you can have a constant supply. They are good added to salads etc. I don't know what type of protein powders are available to you in your stores there. Pea protein and rice protein powders are good though. You can add nuts to your smoothies too, like a nut milk thing with the water and strain it

That nexus article is just about people who are allergic to soy. People are allergic to all kinds of things. Doesn't mean it is bad for people who are not allergic to it. "Soy is one of the top allergens—substances that cause allergic reactions. In the 1980s, Stuart Berger, MD, labelled soy one of the seven top allergens—one of the "sinister seven". At the time, most expert

Why would she let her daughter date a man who is 25yrs old and let her take off with him on her own? Obviously she knows it was not legal and is like letting your child hang out with people doing drugs, they are bound to get in trouble and interference with the law. Parents should protect their children both from the negative influence of friends, older men, AND from the Gov. All these parents, o

I'd rather eat organic nuts and fruits then raw nuts and fruits. Lara's Maya Bars are certified organic, 100%. So obviously they do have access to certified organic ingredients and suppliers just like everyone else does. They are also the same price as the Lara bars. So why they don't use the same source of certified organic nuts etc. in their Lara bars, who knows. Maybe there is a bigger pro

That does sound very extreme. You probably overate too. I don't know why the tendency is for when raw foodists decide to eat some cooked food for it to always be the worst kind or junky cooked food. It's usually never like, I broke down and had some steamed broccoli and peas with my salad. It is usually always, I gorged on pizza and fries and milkshakes and ice cream and cookies etc. LOL. Maybe i

Just goes to show how you can't trust the Gov.! Who cares what a conventional doctor thinks, they have no right putting a gun to someone's head and forcing them to swallow their poison! And yet that is what the Gov. is forcing them to do. He's almost 18yrs old and yet he can't think for himself or decide what he puts in his own body? What about his rights? If he dies from the Chemo will those doc

Cool running site. I just watched an interview with Tim Vanorden on raw running. I'm not a runner, but it was very inspiring because the guy is like 38 and beating people half his age. Said he also cured his asthma and sports injuries, bad knees etc.

That's funny morrison. He sells stuff but it's also non-profit? : ) He sells different stuff then them, but yeah it's a good place to have an ad, very well targeted in a very small niche. I LOVE PURE FOOD AND WINE! Not the prices, of course, and not that they are on the other side of the coast. At least they are worth their prices though. Thanks so much for having this restaurant and take-o
