Hi sbeak I haven't come across any raw forums for younger people I'm afraid. And I know what you mean about Facebook and privacy. I guess you could start a Secret Group, but it would still need to be under your own name etc. There are some good general groups on Facebook, such as Raw Food Wild Riot. Good idea about having a young section on here

Hi iandthou There comes a point when you realise all the raw gurus are giving completely different advice and the whole thing gets really confusing. I remember reaching that point and feeling really frustrated and hopeless, and just wanting to give up. So nowadays I don't really listen to anyone and just eat what I feel like, lol. Some days I eat lots of fat and some days I eat none at al

This 'listening to your body' is all very well, and I'm all for the 'mind/body connection', but it's important to remember that your body doesn't always have your best interests at heart For instance, our bodies could be host to parasites that just want to ingest as much sugar as possible, lol. When they communicate their cravings to us, how can we tell whether it is really 'us' or them?

Yes! that's what annoys me about them too! Those little red drainers get lost, I even managed to juice one by accident once If you sign up for my newsletter at you'll get notified when I make a post, I should be doing the sprouter review soon, the next one will probably be about water kefir though

Yes, I used to freak out about that fuzzy stuff too You learn quickly to differentiate between the two. The fuzzy stuff is nice and perky but mold just looks evil haha. Your sprouts look very pretty Broccoli sprouts are awesome, there's so much research out there on their anti-cancer properties. And they are really hardy & easy to sprout. I have been trying out the Victoria sprout

That's great that you're doing well with it ifeelgood. As far as timings/eating at work goes, I'm not so worried about smoothies etc being super-fresh - if I have to make them the night before, then so be it. I'd rather that than leave myself unprepared and hungry if I happen to be running late the next morning. I add a little kefir to them to keep them alive and kicking I've seen studies

Raw food has exploded in popularity and really entered mainstream consciousness over the past decade or so. Even here in Scotland, famed for our unhealthy 'deep fried mars bars' and irn bru, lol, there are vegan restaurants, juice bars such as 'Juice Garden' (who are always really busy), and I would say we have some of the BEST raw chocolate makers in the world (These guys are true alchemists

Hi Ifeelgood I love Tonya Zavasta and I certainly agree that eating earlier in the day is optimal. I generally eat my main meal around 3-4 these days, and I try not to eat anything after that as I sleep much better that way. But I often slip up and have a little snack later :/ But as for smoothies all the time, I'm not sure that's advisable, both in terms of digestion (an important part o

Every time I see a new article come out about the connection between the gut and the brain I'm like 'whoo hoo!'. I love that this stuff is becoming more mainstream these days. Ever since I went raw I noticed the emotional benefits even before I felt the physical benefits. I still do now - for instance today I was feeling really amazing, jumping around and couldn't help myself from dancing e

Wow Suez, she looks great! Bet she doesn't have to go to the gym either, all that hard work chasing after alpacas. When she mentioned people over 40 shouldn't wear short shorts I just assumed she was in her 40s, then I saw she was 51! And her hair... amazing. I was glad she tied it all back, I was getting worried she would shear herself by accident lol.

Fair point Organic1. But I think the overriding message of this video is 'get healthy and beautiful by eating real food and working out'. I think there's something about the vibrant beauty and confidence of these women that would make the average Joe really sit up and take notice, and hopefully start cleaning up their diet and eating better. Beyond that I guess people are free to choose if they

I do agree with you TSM, there's certainly some fakery going on, with all those bright white teeth, bleached hair, baby smooth skin, plumped-up lips etc. Some are worse than others (naming no names, lol). I liked Elaine, she looked nice and natural, and at 51 was one of the older ones. But I don't think they can lie about their bodies. Well I guess they could get work done, but they genuine

Absolutely RawPracticalist I see so many ignoring their inner health/beauty and going instead for false eyelashes, false nails, etc etc, but it's always best to think from the inside out instead of the other way around.

Markus Rothkranz has a new video out, and I must say it's outstanding. It features women in their 40s and 50s talking about their raw diet, and they all look phenomenal, it's incredibly inspirational. I know it's not all about looks, but these kind of videos really make the average person sit up and take notice - great one to share on your social media to wake a few people up
