Hi Liana, We gave him a teaspoon of water every 20 mins to introduce the idea of liquids little and often to re awaken the kidneys, gradually increasing the amount to a small bottle or cup. There was a massive health improvement in a week, inconjunction with the osteopathy. He became a different baby when he was rehydrated, could pass stools without pain and expel toxins. (Oh, what I let that po

Hi Liana, My kids were raised vegetarian - plenty of fibre... My youngest son had chronic constipation from 4-9 months. He was in agony, we saw docs and specialists, they all told me the usual; "increase his fibre", apart from eating straw he couldn't eat much more! Eventually we saw a great paedriatric osteopath who diagnosed a premature gut and dehydration. He told me to spoon fe

Hi, I've lost most of my baby flab too, but I still have my empty baby sack. I had 2 c/sections and a normal(??? OUCH!!) delivery. I have a home made tummy tuck, I tuck it in my knickers! Much cheaper than the knife. No matter how much is reabsorbed over time, mine will still be a wrinkly mess, as the late Paula Yates said, after the third kid you can wrap your belly round you like a sari!

Dear All, Re Dha and fish oils, I give my kids O-MEGA-ZEN 3, according to the bumph: superior to flax or fish and derived from a micro marine algae, where the little fishies get there nutrition from. Cut out the middle man! (costs a fortune! But only needed in tiny amounts in a vegan capsule). Made by nutru.com. I used to get it from kiki products in the Uk. Regards Anna

Montel Williams wrote a testomony in Storm Talifero's ebook 'The Healing garden diet'. I guess youe would need to get the book to read it. www.thegardendiet.com It is a small passage where MW describes the relief of some of his symptoms and how he is using 2 chefs, one raw for 6 mths and will be writing his results in a book. I couldn't find any reference to this on Mw's website. I hope he has

Hi Marika, Many Raw fooders hit the phase you are in (from what I have read). When I hit that 'I may as well give up stage' an increase in green smoothies and a return to a very simple diet as Brian suggests worked. Good luck, your father will probably come around in time as long as you show him the same respect for his diet, and he may be curious about your increased health. Colleagues of mi

Thanks for your advice, I will try to broach the subject of rawing with the person soon. I read something on the Garden Diet site about Montel Williams doing a Raw experiment to halt/reverse his MS, but I cannot seem to find it now. If I recall correctly he was doing a 6mth trial with a raw chef. I can't wait to hear the results. Thanks again Anna

I have been putting fresh dandelion weeds and spirulina in my smoothies, sea weed and alfalfa in my salads and have a marked inprovement in my skin healing (I bite the skin around my fingers.....), I wake up with new skin every morning. My hair is growing much faster and getting thicker, whereas it used to be all over my clothes on cooked food. So I would second the above advice. Anna

I gather from the garden diet E books that fruit is alkalizing if you are 100% raw, but can be acid if mixed with cooked foods. Anna

Thanks for that info Oneris. I have managed to reduce my sugar (fruit intake) and find that taking some smoothie before eating really helps the appetite. I do find that I am better with a decent warm up when jogging, the above advice was really interesting, and I am just astounded at the difference that green juices and smoothies make with regard to energy levels. Thanks, Anna

If you do eat junk, don't beat yourself up, Rome wasn't built in a day! At least by staying raw the rest of the day you are taking in fibre to push the toxins out quicker. Don't forget extra water when you eat cooked foods, also an amino acid or enzymes may help, or just plain old fashioned pineapple or papaya to aid digestion. Good luck Re the blender: blending helps to break down the cellulo

I have tonnes more energy, on my longer weekend jog I feel like I could go for miles more, but alas the dog gets knackered! Hi elliotm, I would urge you to beg steal or borrow a smoothie maker, liquidizer, blender to blend the greens. Or get someone with one to blend them for you. I am about to start my sister on green smoothies and will supply her every other day. You just won't physically be able eat enough greens to get the full benefit. I agree with you alive! This website is fantastic for the support and inspi

Hi, I want to make green smoothies for my sister, but can only get them to her every other day at the most ( she doesn't have a TNC or decent blender yet). I myself have drunk green smoothies the day after making them and they were fine and I see that the Roseburg study supplied smoothies every other day. I guess apart from a little enzyme reduction there should be no other problem. Any thought

Hi, I have found since introducing green smoothies to my diet a few days ago that my overall consumption if other foods has gone down due to the intense nutritional shots you get when you drink them. Check out V Boutenko's 'Green for life' or just type in green smoothie into search engine for more details. I was getting to the point that unless I ate loads of fat I was always hungry. The smoothi

Hi, I got Green for life a few days ago and read it from cover to cover in one sitting. It is the most important nutrional advice that I have ever read. Comprehensive reasearch with testimonials and a recipe section. I can honestly say that the book has transformed my 'rawing' and I will be giving it to all my friends for xmas, birthdays, weddings, new babies..any excuse. It should be compulsor
