Man, Prism, I've bee reading your posts and feel for you! Between the mold and the chemtrails, I'd leave if I could. I had to leave the Sacramento valley in CA partially because of the pollution -- my baby had a chronic cough and so did we. I'm in Western MA where it is really cold 7 months out of the year, but at least I can breathe. It's sad to see the place you love being destroyed by agribusi

Is there a community college or a YMCA in your area where you can take a cheap class? Maybe you can check a video out of the library. I love yoga -- I feel floaty yet centered after I have done it.

I struggle with it too. That's why I: 1) don't give up, and 2) treat myself to cacao coconut oil date pecan bliss moosh or something with raw crackers (I only eat raw crackers when I'm feeling this way; usually they're too heavy and I'm satisfied without them), or a bunch of nuts, avo and sprouts rolled up with some lettuce in a nori roll. Last night I ate a little very healthy cooked after eatin

I'd rather see mandatory sterilization. GMO's, in my opinion, may ruin the ecology of the earth if they are not reined in, and with monster conglomerates like Monsanto around, that would take a huge battle.

Thank you both so much for the complements! It really means a lot to me. You both are awesome!!! My hubby is at 85%, but I'm getting a cold and feel like I'm wilting a little, so I'm going to go take care of myself. I'll post later. Peace!

Me too! This camp has been very helpful to me. I was thinking about it yesterday and came up with the thought that this is the epitome of support! So now it's my turn to be under the weather. I don't have the flu though, just a cold and no voice -- work will be interesting! I need my voice to work (I'm a server in a fancy restaurant). I feel pretty good, other than a sore throat, so I'm sippi

Hooray!!! I had another great day, too, food wise. Hubby is sick and my daughter is three -- need I say more? All in all it was a good day. I did member worker hours at the co-op (for a bigger discount on food) and Little went to preschool this morning, went to a songwriting workshop this evening, and took care of everyone in between. I had a smoothie with ground flax, kale, cacao, pear, date

Yes, I make chocolates with raw cacao, agave or dates, coconut oil or meat, and pecans. Sometimes I'll make a ganache with cacao, agave and coconut oil, and dip the nuts in that, or I'll mix it all up into a big gooey ball of decadent bliss! There's no feeling deprived after a bit of deliciousness like that!! I also make sprouted almond milk and eat about a half an avo a day.

I just did a 36 hour fast a few days ago, and it really helped me be more mindful of what I put into my body, and why. It also helped me differentiate between true hunger signals and cravings. I found it much easier than I thought it would be, and I'm finding that I want less food in general (which is good because I'm a little overweight and newly 98-100% raw, up from 75%). I'm considering doing

The only legumes I eat are mung, lentil, adzuki (mixed and sprouted together) and chickpeas (which I make hummus from). I soak for 12 hours, then rinse and drain every 8 hours for 2 days. I usually eat 1/2 cup(ish) per day.

I agree with Purenkind, in that raising awake children children is vital for our future, I have four, and mine are all much like hers (They are also similar in age --27,24,22,and 3). I also vehemently agree that if you are not willing and able to raise conscious people, you shouldn't have them..

You're welcome! And thinking about the common thread that runs through my peak experiences, I would have to say a combination of synchronicity, mystery, a lesson, a sense that there is a much bigger picture, and love.

Hey Chickies!! I love Camp Self-Care,Self-Love! Man, I had another great day! My little one is better, but now the hubby has the flu. :{ We had a farmers market to do and the poor guy was wilting. So he went to bed early and my little girl and I were dancing for hours! It's so funny to see your kid develop traits that you love about yourself! I went through the music song by song letting her pi

Mmmm peaches! The peaches in Mass. are a joke compared to the ones in California :{ A long time ago I had a dream about a peach; it was as big as my kitchen sink, which was where I was eating it. I looked outside at the sunset and the sky was the same color as my huge peach. One of my all-time favorite dreams!!!

I'm no priest, but you're forgiven in my book. We've all done things we're not proud of -- that's life -- but I think the lesson lies in what we do with that fact, how deeply we learn from it.

Wow you guys -- this is great!!! Elakti, I hope you are having a GREAT day! Soraya, it sounds like you ARE! My day is almost over, but it was pretty good, other than my daughter relapsing at her grandparents' with wicked diarrhea and my leg aches (I've always had them, no doctor has been able to figure them out, it's hereditary and affected by weather changes -- which sucks in Massachusetts, beca

hey girls-- I had a great day; didn't eat a thing!!! Just water, and lots of it! I was a little hungry, but I was really thirsty! So I drank a lot. I just woke up and still haven't eaten, but I have 2 huge, ripe pears waiting for me. I read the first two chapters in my new meditation book, and in the second page they talk about the mind being like a wild Mustang that wants to go everywhere but w

Good morning Elakti -- Smoking is a tough one. I used to, off and on. Fortunately more off. I had asthma and still smoked. I quit cold turkey after 4 years of 2 packs a day when I was 16, but the last time I quit I did it gradually, had cut way back, then got pregnant and couldn't stand the smell. Never started back after she was born, and boy do my lungs thank me! The smell grosses me out now,
