Today was a fantastic end to the weekend! I got up latish and spent some time getting some food ready for a huge vegan picnic in a big park in the middle of the city. The picnic turned out to be a wonderful experience! I caught up with a bunch of people I hadn't seen in ages (a big slice of the Melbourne vegan community was there) and met a bunch more new people and talked to them. I to

I find myself naturally inclined toward a high fruit diet, but not necessarily a low fat one. But it changes with the seasons. Try things out and find what's bets for yourself.

Haha! I always laugh when I hear Americans use the word 'fanny'. It' means bum to you guys but it means vagina to us! Cracks me up every time!

Who cares if it's natural or not? If I wanted totally natural I wouldn't be typing this out on a computer wearing synthetic fabrics in my very unnatural human built house! The question to ask is: Can it sustain human life? Can we thrive on a vegan diet, can we help solve many problems on such a diet, is it a kinder diet? The answers for me are all yes.

I think some of them are more shrub like, and I also think the higher date palms take a long time to get tall but bear fruit in the meantime.

This video is apparently of The Date People harvesting dates. And I love the song! No bones or blood in my kitchen either!

Haha, you should become a motivational speaker RL! You certainly have the energy! Did you you get my reply to your message about the video? I'm not sure it if it sent or if I just accidentally previewed it, thought I sent it and deleted it. Lol, I'm not familiar with this forums DM stuff.

You are looking HAWT! Bootcamp eh? I've always wanted to do something like that. I'm joining a running group this coming Wednesday and I hope to increase my amount of exercise (which at the moment amounts to a bunch of walking and nothing much else). Keep us updated and if you have any new pics, put em up!

I lived almost a month without a fridge on the road in the tropics, it was surprisingly easy to do. I just got smaller lots of the more perishable foods and the rest I could leave at room temp. the trick with greens is to put them in water so they don't wilt, so buying by the bunch is the best option. Still, at home my fridge is a convenience I'd rather not do without, but at least I know I ca

In 2004 my vegan friend I hadn't seen in a long time was talking to me about food he ate and how he was now mostly raw. I thought it was utter bullshit to be honest, but he calmly told me to just try to for 30 days then come back and talk to him then. Well, being the stubborn biatch that I am, I did just that, and had to admit to myself how wrong I had been! The results were amazing and I r

Today I went raspberry picking at a pick your own farm about an hour from my place. It was an absolutely lovely afternoon, even though there weren't as many raspberries as I'd have liked as the season is at the tail end, coupled with some bad weather they've had over the last week or so. Mother Nature has her moments, but she generally looks after us. What an opportunity for meditation! My so

I have to blurt this out somewhere people might be vaguely interested! My favourite weed I like to eat when wildcrafting is lambsquarters (also known as fat hen, which is my preferred name for it being a chook lover). But the thing is, it's SO HARD to find around my area and I end up going to this one tiny plant as I do my shopping at the farmers market and munching it slowly branch by branch

Hey there Lisa, you can do eeettt!! There's nothing to fear really specially with raw food, none of the food bites, so really fear itself is the scary thing! I'm sure with your enthusiasm you'll jump right back in and do hand to hand combat with your reservations!

Today is Saturday, and like most nights these days, I stayed up till about 2.30am last night, so slept in late. I have to work on getting my sleeping pattern under control again as I'm back at work now. I'm naturally a night person, I love the quiet and peace, and that fact that no one is around. For me it's the best time to write and get lots of creative stuff done. So I got up latish and me

Thanks guys, I appreciate your friendliness. Today was pretty much a 'don't do much at all' day. I'm still on holidays, I go back to work this Friday . Today all I did was package up some product orders (I have a tiny vegan business www.veganrevolution.com.au in Australia, more of a hobby with my business partner and friend than anything else), go up the street, do some online networking a

Haha, true! When my friend said that, the visual I got made me roll on the floor breathless with laughter! The best part of the little video in my mind was the indignant look on the tiger's face when he discovered some kind of monkey fiddling with his private parts.

Me too Coco! I personally love guys with long hair who look like they can break rocks with their heads (but choose not to) and should be waiving their wedding tackle at the English (but were born in the wrong time..) On saying that, my assessment of Daniel Vitalis is that he is, in your words, a 'dick'. His one experience with one type of veganism has left him with the impression that he can

Hey there guys, can you believe it! I only just figured out TODAY that the title of this forum area read DIARY instead of DAIRY. I was a little flummoxed as to why there'd be a dairy section on a raw vegan forum but figured each to their own I guess. LOL! Let me introduce myself, I am a longish-term raw vegan (a little over 2 years at 100% now, 4 years as high raw before that). I've been a
