Quoterawne Do you benefit financially from the sale of Renaltrex? Just trying to ascertain your objectivity. No, not at all. The product has great reviews and my cousin painlessly passed a kidney stone when using this formula.

Quoterawne No, rarely, why do you ask? Is it because starfruit purportedly contains compounds contraindicated for those with ckd? He was and is partial to mangoes but not to the exclusion of other fruit. Yes, it can cause kidney damage even in people without kidney disease, and because you mentioned he was a long-time frugivore.

Quoterawne Thanks for your response. I will pass it along to my companion, a mature male longtime frugivore until a year or so ago when he fell off the wagon, so to speak. He developed ckd and is now at stage 5 after years of neglected bph. So you guys out there reading this, take heed! He did finally have the TURP procedure and after eight months of dialysis, he quit all medical treatment in

Quoterawne Anyone here cure themselves of advanced kidney disease? I haven't but activated charcoal, Cordyceps sinensis & militaris, plant-based protein (+ low overall protein intake), curcumin and the Chinese medicine herb Rehmannia are great for improving kidney health. "Numerous studies indicate that diet rich in fruits, vegetables, fish, cereals, whole grains, fibers and polyu

A comprehensive data analysis suggests that 100% fruit juice does not have a significant effect on fasting blood glucose, fasting blood insulin, or insulin resistance, according to a new study. The findings are consistent with previous research indicating that 100% fruit juice is not associated with an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) and support a growing body o

QuoteHorsea This bigger question: Is this also true for raw fruit juices? Raw carrot juice is an old remedy for cancer. Nope! Only plasticized, unfresh, non-organic and pasteurized dead juice.

QuoteTai Thanks for sharing. Sounds a bit like the Breuss method. From wikipedia: Rudolf Breuss From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to navigationJump to search Rudolf Breuss (1899–1990)[1] was an Austrian who maintained that cancer lives on solid foods taken into the body, and that cancerous growths will die if a patient drinks only vegetable juices and tea for 42 days. So far, all the self-proclaimed breatharians have failed, perished, or weren't practicing true breatharianism. As an acquaintance of mine once wisely said... "Sadly the egoic quest for specialness promotes such supernatural attempts of superiority". Obviously, being a liquidarian and breatharian are two completely different things. Juices and coconut water give you energy and nutrients.

An amazing case study demonstrating the incredible healing power of the human body and a plant-based diet! Diagnosed with an "incurable" form of cancer, this woman healed her body with a medically supervised 21-day water fast followed by juicing and a plant-based diet. "We report the case of a 42-year-old woman diagnosed by excisional biopsy with stage IIIa, grade 1 FL. In addit

QuoteHorsea For example, someone with naturally low systemic levels of glutathione is at a major disadvantage compared to the average and therefore will be less able to handle toxicity because our bodies need glutathione in order to detoxify. Low glutathione may be associated with insufficient sulfur in the diet. I take MSM for that. True, my only point was that even if certain groups of pe

QuoteHorsea @jtprindl. Different experts say different things about humans' long-ago diet. In any event, every part of the world would have different food locally available and so not everyone would be eating the same thing world-wide. Who says everyone started out in Africa? That idea has been challenged, too. I think it's some kind of curse that we are genetically wired to eat what our a

QuoteHorsea From a survival standpoint, it's better to eat some flesh and drink some milk then it is to starve to death. But again, what's the relevance to optimal health? The relevance to optimal health is that, over a long period of time (several generations) certain populations will actually, to some degree, evolve according to that diet they were forced to consume as a matter of survival.

QuoteHorsea Well, it sounds like you are in good health as regards cholesterol. Good for you, you must be doing something right. Have you had any other tests? Say, for Iodine and Vitamin D? In my books, anyway, those are the two biggies. I was tested for those and found to be somewhat low within normal range, depending on whose standards you go by. I asked for a particle lipid test in add

I need to make a video soon addressing these "Paleo" and "No society was ever vegan" nonsense. Since when did eating whatever you could to merely survive, translate into an optimal diet? Bee pollen is very healthy, I don't take it much but I have a jar of bee pollen in the fridge but I think that might change now. Thanks for the reminder And yes, ethical bee products do not harm the bees. It helps to increase their population and they aren't being abused or starved as a result.

Excerpt: "The latest research has made it undoubtedly and compellingly clear that plant-based diets are extremely protective against chronic disease, and that meat consumption promotes chronic disease through a variety of mechanisms. Chemical contaminants from cooking flesh such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, heterocyclic amines, and advanced glycation end products are carcinogenic,

QuoteRawPracticalist This is great. Thanks for sharing. I will buy the book. >What is "health". "the state of being free from illness or injury," Why is the good defined in terms of the bad? Darkness is the absence of light not the other way around. Light is not the absence of darkness. Light is. So illness is the absence of health. So what is health.

Much of my writing and passion for nutrition and plant medicine was inspired by chatting with like-minded people such as on this forum, so thank you to everyone for that. Not quite sure when it comes to dehydrating strategies as I don't use one on a regular basis, however, I wouldn't be too concerned about phytic acid. It's improperly labeled as an "anti-nutrient". Numerous studies show that the body adapts to phytic acid over time, allowing for the health benefits of phytates to take place sans the negative effects. Phytic acid is anti-cancer and improv

Absolutely on kombucha! Probiotics, super rich in B-vitamins including bio-available B12, phytonutrients, liver detox, enzymes... Raw, unpasteurized kombucha contains health-promoting organic acids (glucuronic, gluconic, acetic) which are highly effective at eliminating toxins from the body. Acetic acid conjugates with toxins by solubilizing and eliminating them from the body. Glucuronidation

QuoteTai The chia should be soaked overnight to expand fully. If you can't wait for full expansion, then grinding is better than leaving whole. The sproutarian man grows chia grass and juices it. That is the ultimate expansion but a minimum 24 hour soak is better absorbed than a few hours. Sometimes I grind chia as a substitute for flax meal as a binder. How much water per cup?
