Thanks for good wishes. I do feel nicely icky, . Not too bad so far today. The pizza/etc. hauntings are off scene for the time being and I am looking forward to a salad and some juicy fruit. I'm not sure when, I am playing it by ear and putting mouth on hold. Would like to persevere on water through today. We'll see. Re-reading the Furhlman book on fasting and eating. How fortunate ar

Stopping by the computer for last time today, since I had to get up and crawl to kitchen for a little water and go to the bathroom. Crawling, boy am I down in the dumps and feeling so bad. Well, vol 2 is off to a good start, including a good demonstration of how much I need to eat raw foods again and clean up my act. Now I have a headache and some mucous is sloughing off throat and my nose feel

Definitely was in fasting mode, detoxification mode today. Slept a lot, could hardly read even. No headaches or anything like that, but did feel miserable. Some pains in abdominal region, much stomach grumbling and rumbling. Most of the misery was mental/emotional, felt very low. Did enema this morning. Late afternoon I was so crazy hungry I couldn't continue...I juiced some apples inste

...propelled along on natural gas! LOL, couldn't resist. You know, all that doesn't phase me, I'm a TMI kinda gal, as you know. How funny, you and the Llasa Apso and the cats and fruit basket. Anyway, good luck on the smoothie trip. Sounds very good to me, since I'm fasting for a short bit (could end any minute). I'm reading here and there and on the question forum, kind of catching up

THANK YOU Sundancer, Kwan, Jodi, and Suncloud for the welcome back! What a nice smiley hug! Yesterday fast was surprisingly easy to go through... I was flabergasted, frankly, considering how gluttonous and addicted I've been to non-food. I wasn't sure I could get through a day. Around 3:00 I was hit with strong desire to eat and that was hard. And my mouth was already slimy grimy conditi

I feel serious now, committed. Focal drive: I feel like @*)%! Serious lack of vitality and many disturbing signs and symptoms of a struggling organism. Me. Ok. Here I go again. Onward. Today, a "fast" day. Beautiful day for it, warm sun, blue blue blue sky and birds are singing and twittering and chirping all over the place. Drinking water & lemon water. (am thirsty)

Greetings. Rather quickly went through last posts, will spend more time catching up later. Glad you're still on the good journey and posting. Thanks for sharing. Big feasty salads! I am going to make a fruit sauce soon, too! I'm about to embark, seriously, on rawfood journey again and visit this site more often. Reading your journal will be a big help: inspiration and motivation. Nice to

Just quick note: Hi all! Sundancer...wow, all that land! Marvelous! Hi Suncloud...yes, I remember the raw challenge thingy, it was so good. Distant past. Need to do that again! Moved....much much much work, morning til night, day after day and am so exhausted and at the moment in fact, am on shut down. Finally, a Rest day and I am feeling so old and weak. Decided to look online for fir

Wonderful! More power to ya! How are you feeling, anyway? Same, better, anything different? I had a romaine, ataulfo mango, orange juice salad today, very good and satisfying. Very freshy clean tasting. Grace and peace to you too.

Green smoothie: banana, apple, orange, romaine, celery Salad: romaine, ataulfo mango, drenched in orange juice and pith. Delicious. Moving stuff over to new place, soon. Will paint my room today, yippee! It is a green, yellowy green called "asparagus". Color theme in room will be predominantly green, like living in garden or a salad bowl. Have packed food: oranges, ata

Still here...and there...between and betwixt....moving, slowly. Can hardly wait until we are OVER THERE and I can relax and nest and heave big sigh of relief and start looking for a job and settle down and all that....also, clean up eating regime, etc. Eating is back to a little chaotic, but am trying to eat as much of the good stuff as I can....but, not so into the selection of fruit. Maybe have a nice sized (satisfying) salad, either sweet fruit or other type of salad at 1:00? That's what I am trying to do, recognize these patterns and stave them off. If I get too hungry, there's no telling what I'll eat.

about 6 bananas during morning hours. Big salad for lunch. Lots greens and beets, sunflower seeds. Just had snack of a pink grapefruit. Hungry. Will make a fruit smoothie or just dice up some fruit over romaine.I have pear that should be ripe, apple, mangoes, and I just got 3 ataulfo mangoes. Have tangerines, oranges, and bananas. Sounds like there's a good salad there. I'm "thirsty-

Hello Pampam, best wishes to you in this new year. You and I have a lot in common I think, I really resonate with the tones of your writing. I bob up and down too. You can do it, as can I. You've just had a little low spell, as have I, and we can get back to where we want to be. You've done SO WELL and I admire you and am rooting for you. I'm getting myself back together, too. Hugs and chee

So good that you are feeling content with the fruit even in good aroma environment! That's wonderful. Positively interesting about the elimination. Isn't it great to see these signs of happy body functioning, self-cleaning and healing? You're doing so beautifully!

Hi SUNDANCER AND SORAYA!!!! A reunion! Yes, I'm doing better. Today I had oranges and a tangerine (they're very good), banana/ 3 dates 'milk' (the watery drink, so soothing and smoothing), a very cool salad, yummy, and later a fruit snack and I need to eat again soon/now. Very hungry. I have a felony planned for this evening. oh dear. How to stop? I think, move and get a job. Which i

Hi Sundancer...I am mostly raw, except for something not so good for me at night...haven't overcome it yet. Been eating much more fruit, and usually one salad a day. Happy New Year! My favorite holiday. No celebration, but I like the idea of a fresh start. By the end of Dec. I feel I am in the dregs of an old year and am eager for a new beginning. So I am working on my new beginning of

Happy New Year----which you began 18 days ago! Wonderful and inspiring to read your 100% fruit intake...lovely salads. Peaches? Nectarines? I don't see any of those anymore! I went shopping at People's co-op today for replenishments: apples (so many varieties), oranges, tangerines, papaya, bananas. That's some of what I purchased. There is also kiwi, some melons, pears and that's about it.

Doing better. Grapes and banana this morning. Green smoothie...banana, orange, soaked prunes and the water, 1/2 apple, romaine. Very good. Big salad for lunch: spinach, lots of shredded beet and carrot, sunflower seeds, celery, kale, a little radish...salad bar at the co-op. Also shopped for fruit...got many pounds of bananas and valencias, some pears and mangoes, tangerines, avocado, celery

Very nice! I am going to try the sauce. You're inspiring to me. Me, I am re-transitioning to raw, on springboard now to diving in to high raw. Went to co-op today and bought what my finances could yield: several pounds of bananas, oranges, and pears and mangoes, and tangerines and some celery, cucumber, greens. No more persimmnons, alas. No more grapes, more alas. Ah, the seasons chang

Oh, so interesting to me! Keep posting. I'm flailing. Been raw off and on. Your posts though are inspiring to me and I will continue to check in with interest. Yes, I've been making this salad lately with finely shredded romaine or green leaf and adding chopped persimmons and pear or apple and chopped celery and a couple chopped dates...so good and refreshing. I say, sheepishly, that what y

Hi. I suppose I could make vita mix soup and whirrrrr it for, what? 4 or 5 minutes...I've heard it starts getting warm. Temperature is better now and space heater is good enough to take off chill. People here at ocean use this dry stuff which absorbs the water from air...like in closets, wherever. I needed some...I meditate in the morning wrapped in the down comforter and I have to put the cl

Thank you thank you thank you!!! Okay! To everything! Rainy day here in San Diego and we're cold and complaining...of course, it's part of our civic duty. But, in fairness, it IS cold here at ocean, so humid and bone chilling. I lived in Mammoth Lakes once and ran around in t-shirt in the 20's (quick run to corner store) and returned to San Diego and shook from cold in the 60's. I dug

Thank you so much for your support, Kwan and Sundancer! Yes, this is a difficult time (holidays). I am invited to someone's house on Christmas (vegans) and I will eat whatever is there. So, I'm also considering this time as a cool down time and will really 'hit it' after Christmas day. I did have the blended banana and persimmons and dates last eve and later made a nice salad, kind of fru

Whewww....it has been about a month since I posted since I have been all this time very OFF TRACK, de-railed, cooked, junked, breaded, covered in chocolate, and yesterday I even had a pepsi (wow) and was up all night long and since I was awake anyway (found some ok movies on tv) I also ate and ate. This is the confession part. I feel ready to switch tracks. I hope I am. I ate poorly today

Yes, Chin up. Very good advice. Thanks, Sundancer. And, I recently read about your family's health problems and I'm sorry I didn't see sooner to wish you well with these challenges. I wish strength and wellmess and recovery to them. Take care of yourself, too.

Thanks JGunn for thinking about me. I don't really need holiday survival though. I know what to do. It's easy. I'm working on it all. I will only post again when I am really on rawfood path again. Will probably start anew with Renewal of Rawfoodism Volume II. Soon, I hope! Today is day two without cigarettes. I'm up against the wall...so sick from it, I HAVE to. Wish me strength o

I know EXACTLY. I am going through the same thing right now, it seems insane. It is veritably a monster! I admire your perseverance and pluck and 'snowiness'! Someday maybe we will only encounter benign creatures like those of LaVeronique . Keep on keeping on. Me too. It really seems so impossible sometimes. How I keep going through wonderful periods of eating beautiful food and stayi

Thanks Soraya and Pampam. I thought you'd known about my alcoholism and this biochemical/mental/whatever thing I am plagued with. All I have to do is taste something once and if it affects my biochemistry, blood, brain ---well, my goose is cooked, so to speak. My good fortune is that I have a very strong inner drive for healing and winning this game. I cannot give up, no matter how hopeless it
