If anyone heard this broadcast, tell us what it was like. Maybe it never happened........ CBC is great to think of it, anyway.

Both are best when opened just before consuming. Maybe the shows prepare everything ready to use for the demo so as not to take up footage on it.

I think everyone is just trying to help you feel more comfortable about your skin colour - I would be concerned to see it on me, so can imagine how you feel. But the bile theory makes sense - beets only show in my urine for a little while and this carrot affliction is said to take weeks or months to get rid of. Jaundice takes that long too and has to do with liver and bile excretion. I thin

I heard a theory about that saying that the yellow colour was actually bile pulled from the liver by the vitamin A in the carrots, or something like that. How did they test you for blood carotene levels and why would it take so long to dispel the situation, cuz..... if it was carrot-caused it should go away much faster.....

Good for you, Tiffany! I live in Vancouver, BC, so am nowhere near you, but I have twins, too! (in their late teens now) Twins are the most wonderful blessing, more than twice the joy. Been reading about your parenting and your raw success and am happy for you and your wee ones and just wanted to say so. Hugs and smiles, Jill

I think people find anything abnormal too confusing. She probably finds it impossible to imagine what you eat and marginalizes the issue. A Chinese restaurant might contaminate raw vegs with msg or raw meat - I would avoid eating raw there. Eat beforehand and bring something to nibble on and look around at all the unhealthy diners around you and feel fortunate -without the fortune cookie.

Hi Kwan - I searched the therapy you recommended and got some links, thanks. My hotmail is inaccessible to me right now from my own comp, so I use it as little as possible from other comps. We could pm here unless you meant that is disabled for you. adc

Yeah, maybe your family is sort of addicted to food. People can be so irrational when their addictions are denied. And a cake seems less important than a family member, so their reactions seem a little irrational. Hang in there. I really admire you for your efforts! (I tend to crumple pretty easily.....)

All I can do is commiserate with you and wish you tons of fortitude. Remember how much better things will be in the future! Maybe you should have a little celery or parsley or some other, lighter food instead of heavy fruit. Listen to your body.

My bf was traumatized many times when he was younger and he relives them when something triggers the memories. He struggles so hard with this and often goes in circles with his life. I admire how he struggles because he could just give in to the pain and retaliate somehow, but he manages to make some progress with his life. Right now he feels the lowest he has since I met him and nothing I can s

I really liked The Constant Gardener, partly because I like Ralph Fiennes a lot. I really like the docs by Michael Moore and others. The Enron one was interesting, a great example of how whistle-blowers are usually ignored.

984. Re: CoQ10
I wonder if all the cruciferous vegies are high in cq10 as well. Someone here, I think it was Dave Mason, said that raw peanuts are often moldy. I never liked the feeling of raw spinach burrs in my mouth afterward, but it looks like I might have to get over that. I read that cq10 food sources have to be completely raw and unprocessed for it to be used by the body. Someone told me beets were th

Just start eating more raw foods and read as much as you can about it. I have low blood pressure and some other health problems too and have also had trouble with a raw diet, so am remaining open to eating whatever I need, rather than sticking to a raw doctrine. Any salt, food additives and alcohol are really bad for me, and simple raw foods feel best most of the time. I used to feel sick fro

I go to Aveda salons because their products are less sickening to me. Would rather do it at home but have trouble finding the right colour and product, etc. to lighten my hair without going brassy.

A Brazilian friend with lots of coconut-opening experience does it like this: (though he told me NOT do it) Hold the young coconut in the air with one hand and swing a meat cleaver at the pointed end with the other. He can do it all - drain the aquadecoco, then open the top right up and make a coconut shell scoop with which to scrape the inside- in a couple of minutes and with quite a bit of
