I've done both the Natural Hygiene way (just raw and properly combined food) for over two years and used a cleansing kit after eating cooked for a few years. The clay and psyllium cleanser (with only raw, clear liquids), worked really well, I was so glad I did it (6 days) and it really set me up for all raw. When you've been living so unnaturally, using something to 'treat' your condition c

Yeah and it's one of the most powerful things we can do. We don't have much control over the quality of our environments would love to see things change...

You should really study in Europe if you want to: I did and loved it. You'll really enjoy having everyone speaking french (or german) to you, and it is sooo much easier to learn it when you're surrounded by it. If you stay long enough - at least a few months - you'll be fluent if you become part of the culture there.

killing is a sin, though God gave permission to do it, thou shalt not kill - clearly stated. In the Essene Gospel of Peace (or in one of the next two books), it is stated that taking the life of any living thing - presumably plants, as well, is forbidden and that only the Law, or God has authority over all our lives and deaths.

The mother had recently died and the father was a full-time dentist. They lived in a large house surrounded by a large garden. The mother had loved plants and natural medecine and had cultivated all kinds of herbs and fruits. We all 5 girls spent the Mediterranean spring and

I'm becoming convinced that mono or simple meals are very important and would probably eliminate lots of the detox symptoms or what I thought were detox symptoms, early on after starting a raw diet. NEW2raw - you must be Canadian, cuz we take french all throughout school! Cool that you can speak german - I find it hard, tho lots of ppl say its so much like english, that it's easy - not for me. I think you said: "do you speak German. You have ....but the rest I don't know what is it." hmmmmmmm So now try some (bad) Portuguese; Nao sei como falar muito Portugues, mas eu

Prism said: I can't do coffee and high raw or 100% raw at the same time. Me neither - stimulates all kind of cravings, esp. for foods which balance out the sugar effect. I drink chai that I buy from a local restaurant, and it is gentler but similar to drinking coffee. I really want to give up this need: when I am through this period in my life, I want to go 100% raw, simple, homegrown or

I make my own sunblock and (for the past three years) have found it works great - but has to be reapplied after swimming. Not much toxicity in it and I only use it occasionally, but get other ppl to use it and they like it too. A tried and true way to add raw vegs to their regular food is to grate carrot and mix it in. Some dogs will eat around the carrot for the first one or more times, but they have all ended up loving it, so more can be added each day. Start with just a spoonful or two of grated carrot. The size of grater and amount of carrot depends on the size of the dog and how tolerant he or she is towards new

I read that years ago, bought the salts, smelt and tasted them - and could never bring myself to do the cleanse. That stuff was horrible to smell. If you want to detox the lymph system there are gentler ways - grapefruit essential oil and epsom salt soaks, skin brushing, etc. If you do it, please post it. (I think even celtic sea salt is kind of toxic and unnecessary in large amounts, a

Sahalies - I have known how important raw foods were for decades but was postponing a permanent transition - then I got really weak and sick, and now will always be mostly or all raw. It would be good to see if some of us can get together. But there seems to be at least 10 km between any two of us! Anyway nice to know some raw Vancouverites.........
