Akiane has awesome portraits - I never cease to be amazed with people who can 'see' the shape in the wood or marble then remove all extraneous material to reveal it; or those who can reproduce an image just like one they've seen, such as a face. I like abstract too, but it's such a different thing to replicating a face or scene or animal. I think abstract is largely self-expressive and subje

Yes, it has to be paramount to do what's right for YOU. If Fry's wife had to declare an ultimatum to him - eat cooked food, or she was outta there - then it doesn't seem he was referencing his own senses well enough to keep himself healthy. She obviously saw in him what he didn't want to see in himself. I still see a very simple fruit-based diet as the ideal, but it certainly doesn't mean it's

You could read Prism's person experience with Iodine, if you haven't already. I'm wary of supplements for lots of reasons (experience) but she has had great results so far.

I have been craving vegie bean soup and things like that. I ate some cooked pink lentils and ..... well, I had to leave the room. I don't actually want to have the cooked in my body, but I really crave the old sensations I would get from certain foods. Thing is, I don't get the same sensations anymore, I just get .... well, I have to leave the room.

"i sincerely hope others' experiences are better than mine..." That's amusing.....we all think we're the only ones seeing such doctors, but that describes all the ones I've seen too. They just aren't trained to know how the body really works, I guess.....they certainly adhere to their programming! Now I just tell myself that I shouldn't expect to convince them of my probs or sy

Every sincere person on here adds a lot of warmth to everyone else, I think. RE: the baby-bathing - I read that the littlest bathed first and Dad bathed last, since he was the dirtiest from working in the fields or whatever!! Confusing.

Hi Janice, I believe you would get the best results if you look for a therapist you like, who has at least SERI training (SER II probably better). You'll see the course codes at the bottom of each therapist's contact info. Also, it's fun to read one of the anecdotal books Upledger wrote about his experience with CST - it humanizes it and provides an idea of the scope of situations it can po

Fruit is def. the best. Some newbies find it less than filling at first. When I first adopted a NH diet, I was an athlete expending around 3500 calories per day and found myself with mixed results: I recovered really well from all training but I had a hard time eating enough calories, and wouldn't have energy to do things other than train and sleep......plus at the time, I might have been e

192. TC Fry
I think there's another thread about him, but couldn't find it. From what I read, TC Fry seems to have talked the talk, but did he walk the walk? He pushed himself (my weakness) to work, but does anyone know if that's what killed him? His biography is certainly full of controversy and it's hard to know what to think about him. On the one hand he seems to have had a firm understanding of

I've had them refilled at the little kiosks in malls but you often have to come back another day to get them and I rarely go to malls now. Didn't know they had do-it-yerself kits.

Me too - eating to much heavy food like nuts, seeds, avocados, makes me crave more food. For me these are 'coping' foods for transitioning to a cleaner diet.

My weakest point is that I think I'm superwoman. I use every bit of energy I have, even if it means I'll have to spend the next two days in bed. I can't get it into my head that my needs are daily requirements. Also, time limits bother me: I love doing whatever I'm doing, thinking whatever I'm thinking, for as long as I want, and not have to truncate them because of some future commitment or hea

I just realized that I made a mistake about the kind of cancer you had. I thought you had breast cancer, which is why I thought you'd make a good source of info on it and raw. Sorry, I don't know how I made that mistake - I must have skimmed or remembered wrong. Hmmm... Well it's good to know you're all better.....but did you finish your raw recovery story ?

If I were to try hp in an enema, I would first try adding a drop or half teaspoon to a cup of water and try it on my skin and in my mouth. Then I would add more according to how I felt. I had some 11% in a container and poured about half a cup into my bath, over my submerged leg and yelped immediately - it burnt me and stung for quite a while. I had just forgotten to be careful with it, but

It's not usually meant to judge another person, so people shouldn't take it personally. It's about food and diet, right? We can all eat whatever we want to, but because humans have strayed so far from their natural habitat they need to find out from others and from their own experiments just what they should be eating. Other animals are instinctive and probably don't need to consult each other

There's an ice cream parlor in Vancouver with dozens of icecream flavours and the durian one has a lid on it, which is only opened to take a scoop from it. Otherwise it would stink up the whole place. I used to eat them but haven't felt like one for many years. For me it was always love it or avoid it completely. I wonder if they have chemicals on or in them, because some people say they feel s

You could sprout beans - easy, cheap and full of carbs. I eat raw yam and really like it, though it's a bit strange on it's own - it's better in a salad.

RE: the hydrogen peroxide - you have to be careful to use food grade and not to make it too strong - the food grade (35%) stuff I buy burns my skin and has to be diluted to maximum 3%. I've never used it for enemas.
