I have a Chinese friend who lived with me for one year to go to university but now he has returned to China. He was telling me that you can buy dried goji berries in China for roughly the same price as raisins. I dont doubt that goji berries are a nutritious food but we are being ripped off. Just another trend that people are capitilizing on.

Marsh- It would be interesting now if you did an experiment and changed nothing about your diet except for one thing. Change the wheatgrass juice for some other type of dark green juice, and see if the hair growth continues.

Lifeforce is Clements book. For sure we all are partners in this Raw experiment! Great way to put it Suncloud! It's unfortunate that the status quo medical establishment hasn't put any real research into diet as a healing method. We have to be the researchers! I guess no one makes money from telling people to eat healthy.

Thats cool. Im not against moderate fat intake, I just want to point out that all the recipies in Lifeforce are fats and vegetables. Let me ask you this, Chris, would you eat a diet of all plant fats and vegetables? But I agree fats get a bad rap to a certain degree, but then again so do fruits. It seems at the moment were in a fat trend in the health food movement. Clement, Cousens, Mercola

The b12 issue notwithstanding, I don't really understand this thread. In the link Doug basically says there is really only one advantage to soaking nuts, and that is to help folks who don't digest them well. He doesn't say there is no advantage.

Hi Jan, I met 2 cancer survivors in florida while studying with Dr. Morse. They were patients of Dr. Morse and were both cured using grapes and herbs. You can reach Dr. Morse's office at 941-255-1979 or you can pm me if you want more info. He has had a tremendous sucess rate with cancer patients.

You should really buy the book. That would answer your questions. Theres actually alot of misconceptions about 80/10/10 on the internet. I agree that using an online calculator would be ideal. I like to use nutritiondata.com To answer question 2) Probably half an avacado or an once of nuts will be a good amount (you would probably exceed the 10%). Half an avacado has 17g of fat or 153 calo

Comfrey has been used in herbology for years, to heal bones and connective tissue. The FDA has blown the dangers of the alkaloids out of preportion in this case. If you were to extract the alkaloids and take them in high doses it would cause this. Ive had a very experienced herbalist and biochemist tell me that used normally like other herbs its fine.

Thanks Paul, it is an interesting topic. Although I eat alot of fruit still, and will continue, Ive often wondered about what is the optimal balance of food types. Im still pretty skeptical that a raw fruit and veg diet would greatly contribute to AGE's in the body. I could understand a cooked food diet making alot of AGE's. But I guess the arguement is about fructose in the blood. Maybe the

Same as suncloud, Im going to have to respectfully disagree with Paul. AGE's appear to be a problem with hyperglycemia. Which shouldn't be a problem with 80/10/10, however you could buy a blood glucose meter and check. Also fructose can difuse into the cell and dosen't require isulin, it can be metabolized easier and more directly than glucose. I have not read where it has to be processed by t

I would say that it is OK. Just make sure to not eat too many nuts, drink enough water and eat enough greens or juice some vegetables also. And very much consider getting your B12 checked. You can be scared all day long by people telling you you need to eat this or that, but the longer you do it, the more you realize your body will just want the fruits and vegetables. Trust the body, and be sm

Its just high in nutrients. My guess is that any dark green vegetable juice could have a similar effect.

Was the wheatgrass grown in composted soil? Or rich organic soil of some sort? That is the only way it would be possible for it to have that level of b12

Hey Powerlifer, maybe you know? Do all sea vegetables and algaes contain b12 analogues? Many sea vegetables like kelp and irish moss are quite nutritious and usefull foods, it would seem a shame if these foods do help block b12 absorption.??

Cooked tommatoes are acid forming and iritataing. Raw tomatoes only. Dr. Morse told me to avoid tomatoes for people with arthritic problems.

Glad the site is back up!!! So it seems that we can be pretty sure that we don't get any B12 form plant foods, at least under the usual circumstances. But what about mushrooms, I noticed on nutritiondata that mushrooms have small amounts of b12. Also, does any one know if any new info came out lately about the b12 that is suposedly produced in the intestines by bacteria? This theory sti
