Most of the time you can request it at the health food store and they will usually order it for you. I get a lot of my stuff from www.rawguru.com if my health food store doesn't have it.

I know this is probably been asked s hundred times but when you soak nuts, do you soak them with a lid on? Do you keep it in the fridge overnight so it does not spoil? I tried to soak regular beans one day (first time ever) and left it covered and on the stove...the next afternoon they were soooo spoiled YUCK! Never tried again : ( Please help...thanks! Kim

Is there a raw food way to detox...say juice fasting, does that work better? I want to give my digestive system a break. But I don't want to "not" get enough vitamins and minerals while doing a "liquid" diet. Is there a rule of thumb to follow as far as certain fruits/veggies for the juice fast? I love green smoothies but does blending them make your digestive system work

Has anyone had "success" on the Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs? I WANT to do it but everytime I start I can't seem to get past Day 2. Even in just 2 days I get fantastic results BUT I fall off the lemon wagon : ( It has been mentioned that AFTER completing the cleanse, it's a lot easier to transition to a raw lifestyle : ) I and many others on this forum would love to h

My Breville Juice Fountain Plus was only $150 at BedBath&Beyond and it is the BEST investment I have EVER made besides buying my Vitamix TurboBlend 4500 (which I bought off eBay from an authorized retailer for $300! Breville makes an even a more expensive one but the one I own is SO SIMPLE, SO EASY TO CLEAN, & EXCELLENT QUALITY!! Thanks to everyone on this forum (for their advise, i

Thanks David, I like the idea of making a raised table because I do have severe back issues and bending over is very painful. Should I still wrap wire around the table (and around the top) to keep the rats from my tomatoes? However, I'm trying to picture your first idea...how exactly is it "raised"? I can picture wrapping the wire around the stakes in the ground, but still having t

Tried to grow rosemary on my kitchen windowseal and one day it it was suddenly covered with nat-like bugs including a spider! Tried to grow tomatoes outside and the rats kept eating every semi-red tomato! I want to grow peppers, tomatoes, strawberries and

Pam, Does the mc help curb cravings? I can't seem to stay even 75% raw because of the cravings! Do you find yourself "fighting" the urge to raid the entire kitchen for carbs? I would love to fast in order to get a "good" start and do a little internal house cleaning : ) Kim

Thanks anuiyer7! Sounds to me that young coconuts have more water but the brown ones are sweeter, is that right? So do normally use the white for smoothies and the brown coconuts for raw meals?? Thanks!

Hi Phantom! I bought the coconut from the store and they had the brown kind and the white kind. Well I thought the white would be better but when I opened it up it did have a lot of juice but tasted salty. Also, when I cracked it open, I could see the flesh peeled away from the shell in some areas and it was light blue (looked a lot like mold but this may be normal?).

I want to start off by saying that I love whole fresh raw fruits and veggies and even wheatgrass (in powder form). BUT, no matter HOW MUCH fruit or veggies I eat every day, I still cave HARD around lunch time for that high fatty carb meal! It's like when I quit smoking, I truly didn't want to smoke but the addicted body CRAVED it and the withdrawls were just about unbearable. I guess food can

Hey everyone!! I have a question that has been on my mind for awhile and I just had to get everyones opinion on this one! Do raw foodists concentrate on making sure they get "enough" calories or is there even such a thing on raw food? You know how they say you should get 2000 calories a day give or take, but do raw foodists just focus on listening to their bodies' needs or do you try
