it's been what...two weeks? okay. So I didn't do so well with the new me. I had three different house guests, and the foods that such socializing easily entails. This morning, I ran a 3.6mile race. D-U-M-B. why? well. I've been back on the pavement for all of two lame weeks, and then I raced as hard as I could. So my knee is funked up. I'm a bit high from the thrill of the run--but a

I sense some of me in your entries, so I'm guessing in your mid-twenties. are you concerned that your metabolism will slow by fasting so regularly? sorry to ask such a toxic question. But when I went raw in the first place, I did the (oh so strange and trendy-pop, master cleanse) to begin. It worked. The extremeness of the cleanse made it luxurious to then be raw. I was clearing out bad thing

for a year and a half, I was close to being all raw--aside from tea and the rare hosted gathering where I wanted to avoid the diet spotlight. then this summer I moved, got a dog, a new (excellent!!) job, and got back together with a man I love intensely. With all the excitement, I unglued myself from the focus I held on the raw piece of my life. bite by bite, I've found myself 15lbs above my i

I met my partner when I was just barely making the shift from flexitarian (even though I'm not sure what flexi has over omni...) to veg. He was doing better than SAD, but not even close to flex. Over the next 3mos, I went flex-pesce-ovo-lacto-vegan. he was totally supportive the whole way. Later, when we moved in together, he became veg 100% THAT DAY. eventually we broke up, I left, and he

At first I paid little attention to calories. (from first to third pic). Then I really upped the weights and running. picture 1 to picture 4 is one year's time. I'm 90-100% raw...I fluctuate based on my social life yeah though, weights are important. I don't eat much gourmet--maybe once a month or so. I'd get this strange dry/sore throat that wasn't really either dry or sore--perhaps the beginning of said paralysis. how about shredding beets to add to a carrot salad (raisins, carrots, pinch sea salt, citrus juice)?
