Hi Richard, Regarding your interview, I actually watched it twice. The first time was of course to find out what the content is, and the second time was really just to brush up my English (coz I am trying hard to improve my English here and you are a native speaker right?). Wanted to watch it the third time but I was in the middle of sleep (is it grammatically correct? Or is there a better

luvyuu, Maybe you can just imagine that you were already dead. It doesn't matter anymore what people do to you when you were already dead right? :-) Just a suggestion. All the best, Wong

That's a beautiful story, cy. It reminds me of many things (especially the last paragraph), much more than just the things that can be measured with wealth. Thank you very much. :-) Regards, Yixiang

Hi all, Here is the article that I was referring to. It is quite long but hopefully you can spend some time reading it. :-) BUDDHISM, THE ONLY REAL SCIENCE By Venerable Ajahn Brahmavamso I used to be a scientist. I did Theoretical Physics at Cambridge University, hanging out in the same building as the later-to-be-famous Professor Stephen Hawking. I became disillusioned with suc

Hi Troy, Hmmm... you made me think of something... "Love yourself even if you are not physically attractive", I think more than 99% of human population know this but less than 1% of people can do it. Having said that, I must say I'm one of the 99% human population. :-) All the Best, Wong

bringonthechaos, Hmmm... in the past I thought of becoming a young, attractive, available, interesting, adventurous, lively and creative guy (exactly like what you said... except that I'm a guy). But then... I feel that it's more like a burden to me in order to acieve such goal. So I looked around when I was at places such as supermarket where it's crowded with people, I noticed that there are

Sharrhan, you had a really special teacher indeed! la_veronique, thanks so much for sharing with us! Really glad to know that you have encountered so many wonderful teachers in the past. Haha, it seems like many of us tend to look into things that was non school related and I think that's one of the reasons why we met on this raw food forum. :-) All the Best, Wong

Hi Bryan, I think I know how you feel. I myself do some voluntary works on regular basis and although so far I haven't receive any complaints from others, I'm already getting a little tired because it takes away so much of my time and I can't do the things that I want to do. Plus, it's hard to satisfy everyone I encounter and it's also not easy to cope with everyone's character... Having sa

Hi Richard, I'd like to ask you a question if you don't mind. First of all, I didn't PM you because I think it's good for everyone to see this so that people won't PM/email you to ask the same question over and over again in future. My question is what's your take on hybrid fruits? Do you aviod eating seedless fruits such as seedless watermelon or seedless oranges? Thank you. All the

Thanks for the inputs! :-) Raw1228, that's a good idea. Hmmm... my main concern is that there might be loss in nutrient through oxidation... do you know any ways to minimize nutrient loss? Thanks ya! life101, yes... cellophane wrap... that's what sellers always do, I even think of keeping it so I can use the same cellophane wrap over and over again. Haha, your idea of "lid" is a

Hi dewey, I'm not sure whether Pure Land equals to heaven in other religions, but there is a difference I know between God and Buddha which is that Buddha never claim to have created the universe. To know whether we can be reborn in Pure Land, it depends on our faith in Pure Land and our willingness to leave this world and go to Pure Land. No it doesn't really depends on our karma to go the

Hi all, It seems to me that it's impossible to finish the whole watermelon in one go. So usually I cut it into two and finish half of it first and the other half later on, but the problem is I don't know how to keep the other half of the watermelon. If I leave it just like that it might be oxidised little by little and if I put it in the fridge it may speed up the oxidation process, therefore

Hi dewey, Sometimes I wondered, when I was alone, nobody sees me what I'm doing, and so will my doings go unnoticed just like that? When I killed an insect/mosquito, will it just disappear/vanish from this world forever? And there are things that happened in my life when I was small which I couldn't recall at all, are those memories are going to just fade away and nobody is ever going to know

Hi Richard, Do you want to consider eating organic fruits? I know it sounds high class and expensive but you know, organic foods are actually what our ancestors have been eating before humans created all the chemical fertilizers and pesticides... They certainly taste better as they are grown naturally and packed with the right amount of nutrients to meet human body's needs. With all that chemi

Wow F1, I think one day Sunkist Orange will come look after you for advertising- "Look What Oranges Alone Can Do!". :-) Seriously, the more I read on Richard's posts, the more I can relate them to Buddhism... fruitarianism is about going back to our natural blueprint physically and cleansing is about cleaning all the waste in our body. Buddha said that every living being in this univ

Hi Jose, Yes I agreed with you that more scientific evidence are needed to convice people in believing the concept of reincarnation. Actually I have read a very long article based on a talk given on reincarnation that includes a lot of scientific research done on this topic. However, it's delivered in Chinese and my English is very poor to translate all of them. Here are the links: (Par
