David, Did you ever consider (or do you have?) a blog about yourself and your journey to get you to the "place" you are today? You seem so calm, cool and collected about food, life and living in the right lifestyle for you. As you can see from various boards, there are so many of us who admire, respect and look to you for guidance that it would be an inspiration to "get into you

Anuiyer7, I , too, am new to ACV. I went onto the Bragg's website (www.bragg.com) and they offer a special for $12.95 for a bottle of ACV and the book on ACV plus tons of literature and samples of their other products. The shipping was very slow but I really wanted the book which is about $10 by itself. It was a great deal. I'm anxious to learn about all the benefits of ACV!

Prism, My thoughts and feelings exactly. I love David Mason's thoughts and insight. He's so knowledgable and has it all together! And I love his unconditional and non-judgemental attitude and way of making you feel "it's OK" or sets you on another path of thinking if he feels you need guidance. Is this where we all might be one day? YEH! I have sooooooooooooo much to learn!

Mama Cass, I am so happy for you. WOW! what a thrill to have your hubby react that way. It's happened to me once and I keep praying. I was telling my husband about the benefits of Bragg's ACV and he was really interested and curious. He LOVES the salad dressing I make with balsamic vinegar. Last nite he was willing to give it a try and he liked (not loved!) it. After I finished my speel (sp?)

Cynthia, Regarding your receding gums, consider how you might be brushing. I know that I have several areas of gum recession due to brushing incorrectly and with the wrong tooth brush over the years. We are supposed to use the softest bristles possible (Oral B or Colgate make brushes that will say "very soft bristles in their description). I used to think the harder the bristles the better t

I've been researching the benefits of Wheatgrass juice. It's amazing. It appears like a totally wholesome addition to the raw/living lifestyle with only a shot or two a day or every other. Since transitioning to raw the last couple of months my husband (who has heart disease and HIGH cholesterol) recently had his annual complete physical. His cholesterol was 177, and the breakdown was HDL 50, LDL

I don't remember the exact Mfg. or name, but any good health food store carries a totally safe plastic bottle. They come in all sizes. I have also seen the same ones at Wild Oats. They even make a nice size for young children. Also, very large sizes to store in the ref. Hope this helps.

I always eat the leafy part of celery. I remember in SAD it was recommended to include the leafy part in soups. I just love eating the whole stalk!

Suncloud: Thank you for your very informative words. I just got a book today by Natalie Rose "The Raw Food Detox Diet". Are you familiar with it? It literally just arrived so I haven't even opened it yet. Thx again for your help. And I wish everyone a RAWSOME and wonderful day. One thing I've noticed is that since the raw way of eating I'm so much more calm. Sometimes almost in s

Kwan: I'm envious that you had detox symptoms in 2 1/2 days. I drank only water and a tad of ACV from approximately 10PM Sun. until 2PM Tuesday. I wasn't hungry and felt no detox symptoms. I even walked Mon. for 2 mi. I was hoping for a major cleansing and some wt. loss. I think I will do the wheatgrass 3 day fast and implant that I've been reading about. I'll have to wait a week or so because of

Hi Suncloud: I've never known how to do a fast but now I'm curious and very interested. From Sunday late evening until today around 2PM I only drank water and a little ACV. I did not get hungry but I was still sort of constipated. (in the first couple of weeks I had BM's all day long) So this afternoon I decided to have some watermelon, then a salad and would you believe I craved pasta so I had s

Suncloud: OOPS! Thx. I read message boards all over the place and guess I posted on the wrong one. Thx for the name of that weird looking fruit. I'm going to WF tomorrow so I'll see if they have them and also lychee berries. Have a great day!

Hi All, I have never had lychee berries or banitos, but after hearing about how yummie they are I am anxious to try them. I've seen the banitos at Wild Oats but what does a lychee look like? Today I saw a yellowish/greenish hard skinned fruit that was oval in shape and had little "spikes" (for lack of a better word). Kind of reminded me of a dinosaur. (can you tell I read a lot of

I think that if I didn't have this Forum to check in with every day I would not be able to continue this lifestyle. It is SO important for me to hear, ("listen" and learn what everyone on this board is going thru. It makes everything "OK." I THANK EVERYONE on these posts for the information and support. I learn something new every day and I really appreciate it!

Meow: I hope you wore your new CHANEL sunglasses to buy the bananas I loved how you reasoned yourself right out of that PB sandwich!!!!!! LOL (by the way, can't you make PB out of raw, organic peanuts?) That doesn't solve the bread delima but it would be good on apple slices. Glad you made the good choice for you. It'll make you feel so much better! Myst1: Sorry the concert was a disappointm

Pooch: Sounds like you had a very successful, satisfying rawsome day! Good for you. I'm pretty new to this lifestyle and some days I have no problem eating 100% raw. Other days (like today) I can't get enough to satisfy me. Very frustrating. I'm babysitting for my 3 toddler grandbabies tonight so that should keep my mind off eating for awhile! LOL Keep up the good work.

Jes: I hope your day went well. It sounded as though you had re-grouping and focusing on the way you want to live under control. It's hard when we go "home" with Mom's comfort foods etc. I will be facing that very soon. Serenity sounds like a wonderful challenge to get what makes you and your husband happy. The other night there was a show on the Discovery channel (or one like it) a

Thinkingraw: Yeh!!!!! for talking with your Mom and she is supportive. Aren't Mom's wonderful? She sounds wise in that she didn't freak out. That would have just pushed you away. Would your Dad be receptive to reading up on your healthy lifestyle? There are so many good articles and websites. If he understood what raw/living food is maybe he would be more supportive. If all else fails you can agr

My "boring" name is from my daughter's friends and all little children who always call me "Miss Joan". I guess it was a step down from "Mrs." Anyway, I love it when the babies call me "Miss Joan". I don't want to be "Mrs." to any of them! Maybe I should use my usual user name joanej (my name).

I was at Whole Foods in CT Sunday and organic peaches were on sale for $1.00 cheaper than the conventional which they had a huge display of including samples.I'm jealous you got a watermelon for $4.00. Here they were charging $9.99.(a couple of weeks ago they were $6.99) There IS a difference in their stores. The one in CT is small. If I go 15 min. further to White Plains, NY the store is HUGE wi
