I didn't have what I thought I would today. I instead made a smoothie with about 10oz cabbage (weighing my greens makes me realize how little I was using prior to doing the weighing! I cannot believe how much 1lb of weighed out greens actually is! I have to use an enormous serving platter for my salads now! , 1 3/4lbs bananas, and a scoop of chia seeds! YUM!

I am with Brian (raw1228) - I started working out and played a lot of sports in school. As I got older (hs) I started restricted my foods (first signs of eating disorder) while I was still working out like crazy and involved with sports. I instinctively knew that I didn't want to eat meat, however, was not given the choice of what to eat in my house growing up ("you will eat what the rest

not sure about my whole day, but tomorrow BF is going to be: (i think) 16oz fresh oj 8 oz strawberries 8 oz mango For some crazy reason I am into weighing my food (like strwberries) and plugging it into fitday to see all of the incredible vitamins I am getting. I love seeing the pie chart and obviously am very visual...obsessive....compulsive....over-the-top....maybe...yes. For a newbie

The worm wasn't in my smoothie - it was crawling around the sink when I was drinking the smoothie. But, I started thinking crazily - "oh god, there probably was one in my greens, how well did I wash them, did I get all the worms off...." etc. It was just a moment, although, I am not sure I can go back to that cabbage!!! I think it will be fine actually as long as I wash the leaves tho

This sounds wonderful to me - regardless of what the organ does or did outside of the body, the part that resonates is that he had a complete turn around after changing his diet and drinking a good amount of wheatgrass!!

usually i wish i could cry when i'm feeling bad but the tears just don't come This is where I am at LaV....hoping it all changes and the dams break. I am so comforted by what you wrote, and feel happy that you are no longer in pain. Totally amazing story. Out of curiousity, was it back pain? Regardless, a very powerful transaction of energy for sure.

This is going to sound really crazy...in fact, it IS. But, this am, I washed my cabbage, made my smoothie, and then found a worm (which is usually no big deal, I am always a huge bug lover, just not in my food) that was clear mostly excpet for the greens it had been consuming - I could see in it. It was pretty gross and I starting thinking about consuming it accidentally and how it looked like

Phantom, I am so glad you posted this! I applaud you for sitting through your feelings, and I guess the reason I am so glad you posted is because I feel that it is coming for me! I await it with some fear and anxiety, but to know that you are now on the other side looking back with wider eyes and a calmer mind relaxes me a bit. I have numbed my feelings with food for years, and more years on

Hey Claire! I will be back on here tomorrow, going at it full force again. How are things on your end? I had stopped tracking my food too, going to try one of the other places people have mentioned on one of the other threads - fitday.com or something else. I have been using nutridiary and not really that thrilled with it. Oh - you use fitday! Do you like it? Nuts for me are of no in

The discussion about food/emotions/feelings really hits home for me. I have a (now) four year old who was pretty reserved and not overly outgoing as a toddler. When he was two-three, we would go to birthday parties and he would be the ONLY one not eating the crap they were serving. It got to the point where I felt like it was damaging to him socially and eventually I allowed him to partake in

Does anyone have it? The "professional" citrus juicer? I just got one and not sure I am even going to open it - I had a GC to Bed, Bath and Beyond and so I used it to get this juicer. I am always juicing orange juice for the kids with my other juicer (cheap target/walmart juicer), but thought this might produce better quality juice. Any comments?

DZM (and activeinternet) - I am so bummed I wasn't following this thread before!! I don't really know how I missed it actually. I could have met you there that day that you went! I really want to check it out as well(Hippocrates), even though I am drawn to 80-10-10 - especially the fruit aspect of the diet. I am open to learning all raw theories, especially at this early point in the game for

A-HA! I have been thinking about that David. I think about that all the time actually. But, what do YOU mean when you say..."Unless you have NECESSARY life goals that REQUIRE healthy eating......there is never any bedrock foundational motivation" What was your goal that *required* you to eat what you do - (primarily fruit, correct?) I know that I will get back on track, because I d

Haha, I was actually thinking of you when I was eating that pizza!!! I was like, "wow, now I have subjected myself to porn...and it isn't even the good kind!!!" I was cracking up at the humor in it, but not so much though that I thought it was funny that I was eating pizza. WTH!?!? PIZZA!?!?!? I haven't wanted that in for ever!!! Okay, so I have been doing a pretty loose form of 80-10-10 (eating a blended head of lettuce/greens and a bunch of bananas for breakfast, about 2lbs of some fruit for lunch, and then a salad of sorts for dinner.) for about a week. I went strictly raw for about 5 days and really felt nothing! I didn't have any difference in the way that I felt overall than I would if I were eating SAD. I just f

Today was so great!! I ended up eating about 2lbs of pineapple throughout the am, at lunch I had the smoothie with 8oz greens, almost 2lbs of bananas. It was so filling, and very satisfying. I loved it. At dinner I was hungry for food, but not ravished. I made a huge salad and chowed. I was a bit low still on my numbers, but holy cow, it is scary to think about what I was getting before (or.

I felt incredible yesterday, can you believe (I have ths SAME mindset you have about the "forbidden" fruit!) that we can eat all of this fruit and feel so good!? I was completely 100% amazed yesterday. (I was not 100% either, but darn close!) Dinner for me was rough. I HATED the "soup" - only ate a bit of it. (It was actually like a yucky green smoothie - and most times

I should post this in the other 80-10-10 thread, but will also do it here since we are talking about the meals. I felt incredible yesterday, although dinner was rough. I HATED the "soup" - only ate a bit of it. (It was actually like a yucky green smoothie - and most times I love green smoothies. I think it was the orange - and I forgot to deseed the orange before I blended. I o
