I agree with La_V! ANd crack up over Phantom! Funny, and true. I would love to do this, the timing won't work though. It is coming so fast! I also read that this is going to be the only one that is at this price, which really makes me want to do it. I just can't get there then though, unfortunately - it looks wonderful. Great job on transforming your whole family!

What happened to Simple Living? Suvine? And I think his name was Paul - the enlightened one? Stoner? Not sure what happens to people, they come here for a while and then move on? To where? That is just a few people to think of off the top of my head - Simple Living was on here a lot for a while and now is gone. For him raw was new, so maybe it wasn't his gig, but what about others that have

Did you lose weight or gain weight while doing this? I am not sure how you could have gained, but it would be interesting to know.

So great!! I really enjoyed this thread a lot...so who is ready to sign up for another nine day mono eating challenge!? In all seriousness, thanks again for taking the time to write and fill us in about everything going on. I definitely appreciated your had work, mono eating is tough, especially like you said when you know that there is so much right below the surface. The ability to smooth it

You can get a disposable camera that will transfer the pics to a disc! I know that they have them here, just not sure they have them there. They are reasonably priced too - well relatively speaking anyway...at least for emergency situations! Doesn't any one of your collegues have a digital camera you could borrow - take the pics and transfer directly to the computer? Hope it all works out fo

Well, I think that if it says "raw" it is - and I would be okay eating it from a jar, as opposed to a can. I don't think they can pasturize it and then call it "raw." (Although "they" get away with lots of crazy things when it comes to labeling!" That is just my opinion though, someone else can tell you for sure.

I asked the same question, definitely not raw - they are heated (and probably have sulfites added) to stay in the can for years and years. At least with canned veggies - I really don't know anything about the raw tahinis/butters though. Anything canned IMO should be avoided if possible (unless you have no other way to get it in a glass jar), just for the fact that the food is packaged in allumi

And someone else who was addicted to olives? There was some kind of detox going on with the olives too, I think - sweating? I am addicted to bananas....cannot get enough. We go through so many pounds of bananas, my grocer asked me if we are raising monkeys. Someone recently asked my husband "what kind of diet is your wife on?!?" after he told them that the bananas were for me.

Any great salsa recipes out there? I just made some this weekend, and was a bit disappointed that it didn't come out as good as usual. In fact, I used about 11 tomatoes (very ripe romas), cilantro, lime juice, jalapeno, and onion. I ended up putting in salt and pepper, along with a tsp of sugar. EEEEK. It was still all raw, but I have been trying to avoid the salt and sugar altogether. (I w

Also, perhaps I wasn't clear in a previous post - when I said that this board was my support. It is the only place I can get "raw" support - my family, friends, therapist, inlaws, whoever, are for ever making comments and discouraging raw diets...or even vegan eating for that matter. I really don't need to explain my self, again, from the very beginning there was a discrepancy about w

F1 - I really don't get it. Yes, I have been clear about having emotional issues, that I am currently working out in therapy - and have been up front that food has been the issue. Am I the only one on here dealing with food issues?!? I work at it every day, all day (struggling sometimes, yes) WORKING and not giving up halfway through as I deal with the "emotional issues." What I r

oops, nix that - still a huge bargain. I thought it was a green label, didn't realize it was a Wheatena 2. Now it's really out of my price range. I CAN afford the green label off the site though.

Hahaha, (sounds like I am hoping it is going to clean my house too) I meant that once I start juicing other fruits or veggies - doesn't the juicer lose some of the efiiciency it initially has? If I were to juice hard veggies - like carrots or beets? As opposed to JUST juicing wheatgrass only in it? I can't take the juicer - although you have one already? This is a backup? I think that you

No, I don't think I clarified - I definitely need support. Cybersupport may just not cut it though. I am just wondering if there is any way to talk on the phone....or something. I guess that would be easier for me sometimes than just relying on the computer. I did get the instructions, about setting goals, etc. But, what I needed to know was exactly how it was done on/thru the internet. I th

I need to know more about it, and I can't seem to get the info I need from the website either. I started to look last night and ended up on You tube sucked into a million raw videos!! I would definitely need support and I know I can't commit without knowing that I will get the support I need through the process. In fact, I am not even sure what I will need....but do know that my struggle comes

Wow Wy - that is a great deal - about $100 less than you paid new? I can't take it from you! You don't think another one will come up on ebay? I never really follow it ebay, so don't know how frequently juicers are up for bid. My main concern is getting a wheatgrass juicer, and then if it DOES happen to do other things - even better. If not, that is okay too. I definitely want something ver

Calling all juicing pros.... What do you think of this juicer? I am ready to make the purchase - for a wheatgrass juicer in particular, but was hoping to get a bit more bang for my buck and have a combo juicer in case I want to juice other things. (Wy - can you tell me the name of your WG juicer again? I went searching for it and couldn't find the thread.) Thanks for any help you c

I once read that if you take a real gold piece - of jewelry (or whatever) and rub it on your cheeks it will leave a black mark if you are low on iron. I have done it at various times and sometimes it leaves huge black marks on my face, and other times, nothing. I am just not sure of the correlation - whether or not the black marks truly mean low iron. But, you could try it. You can also googl

Exactly - I would do what tanawana suggested....wait....that is what I did do! But, for the juicing experts, will the greenstar juice apples? I know that most people use it for carrots and celery, maybe wheatgrass, but what about apples, pears, etc?

I use my vitamix at least once, most times twice a day. I have a great new tamper (thanks WY) and I can't rave about it enough. I have a cheapo walmart juicer - or something like that and it does the trick in a pinch. I use it to make apple juice for my kids mostly. I used to use it a lot, but now only really use the vitamix. You can get it in three payments over a period of time - like four

I love using the weights of food and am frustrated that I can't enter things into fitday or nutridiary by the lb or ounces. Sometimes I can do oz, but the caloric/nutritional information is not correct when I do. Either way, I love the 80/10/10 stuff AND love inputting it all in to see exactly what nutrients I am missing, how to get them, and what I AM getting!

Moving. Definitely moving and so relatable...the gorilla and your sadness, the feelings that you have been caged up, pushing down the urge to cry to protect the group feeling stress already, dealing wth them later on when you are alone. So much stuff you are bringing up for me too. Thanks so, so much for sharing so openly.

Crawling here....I think that the hardest thing to deal with is that food is often the vice. When it is taken away all the emotions and feelings are right there, raw, and needing to be dealt with. It is amazing that so many people think that they have no "issues" with food, yet they use it as their source of comfort, security, joy,and whatever else they need. (I am not referring to y
