Live and let live Juicerkatz. As for the addict reference, the wife could get very sick banging her head against the brick wall of her husbands alcoholism. Let go, let & God, and when they see you excelling at your chosen lifestyle, let that attract them to your way of life. I understand your need to preach because you feeling and looking good, you want everyone in the world to have it, esp

Welcome to your raw food journey , it will change your life for the better. Tofu is cooked soy beans. Sorry oh. Others may share about the dangers of soy products in general. I don't find it has much taste by itself. Just start where you can and aim for the best. Good luck.

Yes they need to be spongy to touch, they still stay green with a bit of black on the skins. Yummy deliciousness. my first youtube vid was on the custard apple. Enjoy

I too am on my own, sort of, on this island. I have come across two men who were raw in the past ( for 3 & 6 months) and are they are no longer living that way. None of them can tell me why they went back to cooked, as they both report great health and strength whilst raw. I have heard of another more reclusive man who has been eating unfired for 30 years. I am seeking him out. I tried to ga

Hi LIsa congrats on your progress. cleansing reactions take many forms. mine seem to come and go, in various places. I trust my body knows what its doing with the raw food. if it starts to hurt, I slow down the cleansing. I've been about 80% raw for nearly a year now. Yesterday after a hard work out, a painful lump appeared under my arm pit. Maybe lymph glands? I don't know it needs further inv

I get raw ground nuts straight from the farm, with their hearts in tact and mud on the shells. They're kind of damp. It's hard to eat a lot of them as they are more satisfying than roasted ones. So i would imagine the ones in bags for sale in UK would have been washed and dried somehow, for storage. In hot places they lay them out on the ground in the sun.

He obviously has a healing modality for dealing with people where they are, (For those of us on a low sugar protocol) rather than where they "should be". There are some vegetables which are indigestible to humans raw. The cooking can make this food available for assimilation of nutrients. Most crucifers fall into that category and have to be processed, juiced or blended, to have a chanc

Fascinating series. thank you for sharing and after a healing workshop that I took this weekend, I get a glimpse at overstanding what you talking about JS. As in the role and ability of the spirit, mind and body. I found it interesting that you thought it harder to be breatharian in the heat of the tropics, than in the temperate climate of the UK. You are the ultimate raw food eater and if you c

Survival in the 21st century is very apt right now. Depends where you live, without electricity, a lot of people will be hungry real quick. Hungry. I would be more able to live on very little now, having been rawish for a few months. I am honest, I used to go for that junk once in a while, too often, ;( For me it was, is a mental thing, an awakening to the possibility of, living as nature intende

Hi JS What u do is fascinating? I look forward to part 1, maybe you can put them on youtube for those of us unable to access, I couldn't click on the Sunday link for some reason. One question, do you know of any woman who raise a baby with this livity? That would be really something! Any information would be useful. Bless

Hi Alicemago, for other reasons I had to give up bananas. It's got me really miserable having to cut down on the fruit side of my live-it for a while. Maybe some soaked dates might add calories for you. From what others have shared to me, fruit and fat are incompatible, maybe as you eat less fruit you may tolerate more fat. Best wishes.

Of course high fruit and greens is the optimal live-it, I totally agree. Low carb is stupid for people who are already healthy, however if one has had problems, like me, with high fruit, what do you suggest I do, just go along with everybody to fit in? I don't appreciate being called stupid because I make the choice not to! No, some of us need to heal and healing, temporarily, involves a low g

The flesh can be grated with water squeezed out then used as a milk. Mature coconuts are very high in fat though. Is that why you say they are fit only for bowls?

It may depend on your background with food. I come from one of food addiction and it is very important for me to plan my meals on a daily basis so i know what i am getting and not setting myself up for night time binges because i haven't eaten enough calories!

Check out Sunfood diet by David Wolfe. He suggests the following. Women: 6 pounds (2.7kg) fruit/ 2.5lbs (1.1kg) veg (incl. 1.5lbs greens)/ 0.25lbs nuts, seeds, oils (from fruit) Men: 7.5lbs (3.6kg) fruit/ 3lbs (1.4kg) veg, (include 2lbs greens)/ 0.33lbs (0.15kg) nuts seeds oils (from fruit). The women's one works out roughly 2000 calories. I worked this out using Fitday calorie counting websit

Yes Tamukha, I just answered it for myself in a bit more detail in the thread Fruit vs Fat, based on Arnold Ehrets findings. Yes Debbie, I did see them moving, however I am not sure of his whole process, or how sterile it was. His office was in an old coral stone building. Again i am not too sure about what the NHS tested for, the only thing they reported was this staph infection, I think the

This may be a little long, however I think I am overstanding this fruit vs. fat debate better since I read 'Arnold Ehret Mucusless diet system'. Which I picked up for 5 bucks, (at last I didn't have to be independently wealthy to be indepedently healthy.) What I have put below is not to offend or deter anyone of anything, I just found his information extremely useful. His transition diet is a st

Finally I have all my tests back. They are all fine except one that showed in my stool (sorry) I have a staph aureus infection (haven't research it yet!). Doc said it is a skin infection that shouldn't be appearing n the bowel. My haemaglobin was 13.6, they were all oohing and aaahing about how high it is, so I am not anaemic. They gave me an antibiotic for the infection and a cream for the yeast

Easy does it, Rome wasn't built in a day. I suggest you eat the raw foods that you liked the most and gradually increase the volume of them. Keep it simple and enjoy. This is a great forum for support, check back through some posts and you will see that others been through what you have. Peace

Wow! Really interesting topic. Since I have been using majority raw foods 70% of calories, my menses have lightened significantly. In fact that coincided with me starting to feel tired all the time recently. I started my menses at 10 so that could explain a lot too. I do come from a small family and I am 5'4", so when I get back to my natural size, I would revert to type. I just had some bl

Several years ago, a naturopath Dr. Afrika, suggested I use it to help me digest fats. I took a capsule supplement every time I ate an oily meal. He suggested other thngs and I did release 70lbs weight in 9 months back then. Since I am starting a higher fat diet I am putting it back into my diet in the form of granules 1 -2 tbs a day. I do not think it is raw.

I can relate to those feelings. When SAD I used to crave refined sugar, now I am more raw, I found my cravings changed to fat, particularly nuts. I kept fighting it until one month I gave in and I felt better, cravings went and hunger went. After they finished I went back to my low fat plan. Now 9 months later I don't get those wild swings anymore, in fact my menses and PMS have improved signifi

Some of my results from my blood test came back today. everything is in the 'normal' range whatever that means. Urea level was asterix below normal range. They lost some of my blood! so I had to redo some, so she didn't want to say anything until they came back too. I still not sleeping properly, although I must say I have been having more energy during the day. Maybe it's all in my head, thoug
