Wait, you're going to use cardamom this time, right? I love cardamom. That sounds delicious; let us know how it goes.

Love... in moderation, when they're actually good; a lot of them aren't. Black are much more nutrient-dense than green. Look out for yucky things like wine vinegar in the ingredients.

For years I had a double espresso addiction, and I'm not remotely exaggerating to say that it completely destroyed my life. It took about two years plus of "trying to quit" before I finally did, and it was a heroin-withdrawal type scenario where I basically locked myself in a room in my sister's house and meditated and did all sorts of anti-addiction things. The only silver lining is th

"Anti-depressants" are right out of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World." We should use natural herbs that come from the earth and eat healthy raw food, and we won't be depressed. We don't need little corporate pills that sabotage our brain chemistry. My god, people.

Although... I noticed in my local "Whole Paycheck" (evil, union-busting company that I'm ashamed to say I ever support with my dollars) that there were actually raw almonds from Italy. Since they're imported, I assume they're truly raw. However, that doesn't mean they haven't been sitting around on shelves for- who knows, maybe years. Ordering online is much better. But, yes, the expens

I tried fruitarian for several months. Over the summer fruit was hitting the spot, but ultimately I'm liking the Gabriel Cousens low-glycemic approach better.I feel my third eye opening up a lot with this diet. It's a lot of salad with homemade dressings, veggie dishes, avocados and olives, and mostly keeping the fruit to a minimum and the lower-sugar fruit. Amount of fat and such varies by indiv

I know, it's tricky. If you do an extensive google search you should be able to find some California farms that ship directly to consumers. Also, I've had goo luck with this source from New York:

"I don't think anyone will ever get it absolutely right and even if they do whatever works for them will probably not work for any one else just the same." I think that's true, but I've been re-reading Gabriel Cousens' "Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine," and there's a lot of fascinating stuff in there about individualizing your diet based on your body/personality type, your

Go with the high high fruit! Try it, try it! Use that $400 to buy tons of the most delicious fruit- find that it's the most delicious thing in the world. I'm an ecstatic convert to fruitarianism. Give it a month or whatever. Try not eating tons of fat... maybe an avocado here or there, if you want it. Try tropical fruit, especially- whatever you really *like.* Mangoes? Papaya? Kiwis? etc. I guara

Yeah, probably! Well, you live and learn, right? I've been doing all sorts of fruity trial and error recently. But when you hit a home run- it sure feels good!

Sorry for the slow reply. I found it through www.localharvest.com Specifically, here: ' That's a farm in southern Florida. I don't know if they ship internationally... I imagine so. Otherwise, I'd suggest doing some internet searching, because these things are spectacular! Incredibly nourishing, but not high-fat! Like a creamy fruit pumpkin pie. And I actually talked to the farmer the other d

Well, I like how I feel best from eating sweet, high-water content fruit. Durianrider eats a ton of bananas and dates, neither of which make me feel all that great. Though they're a lot better than eating tons of nuts or seeds, and DR runs and bikes all over the place, so he burns through it. He definitely doesn't eat cooked starches, though. Once you start feasting on fresh, tropical fruit, not

Has anyone else here been privileged to try mamey sapotes? I ordered a couple cases, and they're delectable!!! Super rich and filling, lushishly tropical fruity. Kinda sorta like a sweet potato crossed with an avocado, but a sweet, juicy fruit! Apparently, when this fruit first came to Cuba there were fistfights over it. !

No, I didn't, because I'm really only eating fruit these days. Lots of golden kiwis and fresh dates (far superior to dried) right now. But when I was eating nuts and seeds- pumpkin seeds were a favorite, as well as macadamias. But I think reducing nuts and seeds in favor of fresh fruits is optimal.

Delicious from Living Tree Community Foods if you like that sort of thing. Very funny to see this thread, because I was just sniffing my sister's jar of pumpkin seed butter five minutes ago!

I love how I have to buy minimum 20 pounds of jackfruit for like $150. I think I'm going to do it, though, and feed all my friends! Cause jackfruit is *amazing.*

I can order fresh tropical fruit online right to my door? How come no one told me about this before? I ordered fresh dates (never had them before), and am eyeing the persimmons, jackfruit, passionfruit, and maybe Florida avocados. Heaven!

Rawgosia, I just recently tried golden kiwis, and they are my favorite thing in the world!!! Yes, yes, they are amazing. Interesting what you folks say about vegetables/greens. I'm not drawn to them at this point, but maybe that'll change. Though I find if I eat a lot of avacadoes or other fat I'm more drawn to greens....

Thanks for the pictures! Bananas are all right, but I don't find them to give as clear a consciousness as high-water content juicy fruit. I think that's the best stuff. But, either way, all sweet fruit rocks. I've never tried a rambutan or a dragon fruit, but I'd sure like to. I'm about to try my first durian ever. Bought it frozen at the asian market- not ideal, but still I'm excited. I

many, many kiwis, probably six to eight, half a bag of dates (too many) later... lots of figs later... some dried persimmons (wish I had soaked them first) and some cashew butter (regretted that one!) Not my best day. But, hey. Woke up today and committed to no more nuts and seeds! My body is rejecting them. If I want overt fats I'll go with avocado. I like threads like this, btw. We s
