I got in fermentation only recently thanks to the Sproutarian and it seems to be working well. I do not use kefir or kombucha, I do my own ferment with sprouted seeds or beans or onions. I just use the fermented water from any of them in my juice for few minutes. I do not keep my juice for long. I put the ferment in and let it sit for 5 minutes and drink it within 15 to 30 minutes max. To me jui

Before Louis Pasteur millions were dying from food bacteria. The problem we are having is sterilization not pasteurization "Unlike sterilization, pasteurization is not intended to kill all micro-organisms in the food. Instead, it aims to reduce the number of viable pathogens so they are unlikely to cause disease (assuming the pasteurized product is stored as indicated and is consumed bef

Those health gurus just look at the nutrients in the seeds and proclaim them to be supper food. I read Eating for Beauty by David Wolfe, he talks a lot about nuts but there no mention of soaking the nuts.

The problem with smoothies is the high speed blending for more than 30 seconds. By the time you take it out of the hot blender it is too late in my opinion. I prefer to blend soft fruits and fermented seeds for a short period and juice greens with a low speed juicer and ferment the juice.

This is what you wrote: "Why would any healthy individual need to fast was my question." It is like saying why would any good running car need to be tuned up. Even long term fast have their place. There are people chronically ill who could not find solutions which conventional medicine who cure themselves thru long term fasting. Cancer death this year alone is at more than 7 milli

You are right John Rose a juice fast is a feast not a fast. The superior fast is the dry fast. A 3 days dry fast is superior to a 30 days juice fast.

Pretty good salad. How long does it take to chew kale and make it digestible? Most people would blend it.

Good points but one should also be careful in not always believing that whatever the fruitarians or the vegans do will never work. Let's pause and look at the other side. Many of the scientific recommendations when it comes to diet have not worked in the past. Just look around, thousands dying of cancers every year. Maybe for some it is more acceptable to be disease free now, in tune wi

Most of the health gurus are past their 50s. So in about 50 more years we will know who survived if we are here ourselves to witness the end of the debate. The Natural Hygienists are already extinct (TC Fry, herbert shelton). Who knows maybe the only ones left will be the SAD eaters. And they will say we told you so eat your burger.

It all depends on what level of consciousness we are. St Hilarion (St Paul) food was only fifteen dried figs after sunset. Scientists are so concerned trying to find life in distant galaxies while we have it every where in our galaxy. All these planets are inhabited just that life is at a different level of vibrations, we cannot perceive the beings living on Venus or Mars it does not mean they a

You are doing the right thing limiting the green to one at a time. The major issue may be the type of green you use. I would avoid spinach as it is high in oxalic acid.

Brian Clements and many others have said the same thing. High speed blending of greens is not healthy but it may be better than eating SAD. I prefer to juice them with a low speed juicer. It takes time but it is healthier, and you can add a ferment to the juice following advice from the Sproutarian. I prefer blending fruits and sprouts at low speed for 30 seconds. Many on the raw foods will ea

It is the inorganic oxalic acid that is harmful. Quote Just remember, organic oxalic acid is essential for your body and is completely harmless if consumed in organic form. It is the inorganic oxalic acid that causes trouble to your body. This is the reason why when you drink fresh raw spinach juice, your body utilizes 100% of all the minerals that spinach has to offer. But when cooked, the oxal
