Cool that you're an organic farmer; We tried a few years to grow vegs. w/ very little success, except for greens - they grew great. I live in a valley & we only get a half days worth of sunlight compared to the folks that live on top of the hill. We are so surrounded by trees that we don't get any good growing light until at least 10 am or so, & then it starts to diminish by maybe 3 pm

Are you sure about that Prana? Judging from the OP's experience, I get the feeling that they just "overdid" a good thing, especially since they are (assuming) new to this. I remember when I first started out & experienced awful symptoms because of all of the junk I had accumulated over the years, and like most people new to this experience, I wanted to "get it all out&qu

Does Aldi's sell organic produce? I've not been in an Aldi's store for several years. We are vegan snobs, we only buy organic!

Interesting info., banana - I never heard that before about the vocal cords. I do know that best are a very potent cleanser & can be tough on a person's liver, especially in a person who has poor liver function to begin with.

Follow some good juicing recipes, esp. if you are just starting out. There are reams of them to be found online, and lots of great juicing books. "Juicing for Life" is one of my favorites - Beet is a very cleansing veg - it is best to mix w/ apple juice. Most recipes I have followed are something like; 1/4 beet 3 apples Dark vegs. are typically strong cleansers - same

QuoteIn my experience, religious belief can promote stability, but beyond a certain point of fervor it actually creates mental instability. I think it's unfair to generalize this way. You could make the same argument in regards to raw food/vegan-ism, working out, etc.. Taking anything beyond a certain point of fervor or to the extreme can create mental instability... Now that's just plain wrong. Amazing the amount of money that has been raised. Too bad that $$$ can't be used to promote something "good".

Much. BTW, the "Salt water flush" comes from the "Master Cleanse" - aka "Lemonade Cleanse". A controversial cleanse for some, I've done it 3 times and I must say it produces results. I suggest you look into it, just for giggles if nothing else. Do a search - there is a forum dedicated to that cleanse, run by Peter Glickman.

Don't overlook the salt water flush to get things moving if it "seems" like they aren't. Some folks aren't on board with that one, but there is a large number that is. It can be tough to stomach at first (for some people) but the rewards are well worth it. As far as juice fasts go...there are plenty of folks on here that have done them, one member I know of in particular that co

Wow...115 views & no answers...this forum is great for that. Anyway, to answer the question. You will have a few movements in the beginning as your colon empties any remaining food, and maybe a few more "along the way" as you release toxins. You will pee a lot, yes. Some folks will use a salt water flush in the morning upon rising to stimulate the bowel & aid in the elimi

Do you have anyone local you can "hang out" with? Internet friends are great, but there's nothing like rubbing shoulders with someone who can help you out during tough times. Maybe even post a note on a bulletin board at the local HFS. It would be great to find a friend that is on the same vegan/raw journey as you.

I marvel at the number of "rich" people that frequent my business who are Mathematically Impaired. They are so happy in their own delusional worlds...it is amazing to me. No wonder we're in so much trouble, since no one can think for themselves.

The word for today is... "Dystopian" - A dystopia is a community or society, usually fictional, that is in some important way undesirable or frightening. It is the opposite of a utopia. Just sayin...'

"Thats how you know you have won an argument. When the other party resorts to name calling." I don't agree with that statement 100%, but I suppose it's close enough. Sometimes people lose control of their emotions or get so frustrated with the system & "the beast within" unleashes with name calling/insults, lol. They "all" do it...Alex, Savage, Levin, J

Good grief HH... Why are you lashing out in such a negative/nasty tone? Seems out of character to beat a person over the head for simply for posting their personal opinions or beliefs. You seem to be carrying on this trend in several threads... Ever hear of the "compliment sandwich", lol?

QuoteVeganjuice, I've tried hard to make it happen for us. I waited over a year, but things would only improve if I admitted that I was 100% in the wrong. I appologised for any hurt that I may have given them, and for my part in the circumstances, but there was no appology from them. I should have mentioned that...at the present time my brother & I haven't spoken since '07. He is a Vietnam

I decided to watch the vid...or attempted to. I knew what I was in for from prev. DV vids. F this, F that..., F the other thing. ...but it's all over now, and I don't have to converse with my siblings ever again.... Trust me, that's not over. It never is. When you have an estranged relationship occurring, it still continues to eat away at you inside, even if you don't think it is. I'm a bit surprised that your psych thinks you should run from it...or maybe I don't have the whole story here...in other words, sometimes

I'm about 99.9% certain that ALL of the media, even the "Freedom" types are part of eh CONTROLLED OPPOSITION, or else they would not be permitted to exist and do what they do. One of the main reasons I've given up on listening to just about anything - "Everything you know is a lie..." as Joyce Riley (JR) puts it. This last bombing? I've spent maybe 5-10 min. total on it.

QuoteAlex Jones - I admire his passion and stuff like that - he’s fantastic, but the reality is Alex Jones is still up on YouTube, etc. because he has NO Real Message. Well, he has a Message, but he has NO Action Plan with it. Most of them just spout stuff & have no real plan; either that, or it's buried somewhere in a 90 min. video that 9.9 out of 10 people won't watch the whole way thro

LOL - Just thought of this Did any of you catch Rachel Maddow bashing Alex Jones about this? I heard clips of it on The Power Hour show on Friday morning. She was hilarious. Screechy, hyper, animated, beside herself - If anyone couldn't tell that she was "trying her darnedest" to convince everyone that the govt. story is the "real" one... Well, I have some swamp land

That pic of the guy in the wheelchair (amputee) is 'shopped - I saw the original "live" pics on the news sites as it happened & he had wounds, but both legs were there... ...that is, if the original pics are legit - who knows anything at this point. The internet is an amazing place...However, the actor theory is a good one - Alex Jones Rules!
