Sproutarian man- how do you prepare your soy beans? Are they the mature soy beans that have been soaked?

After gaining some weight after a hiatus from running, I did the master cleanse. My belly looked amazing. It then went back to how it was, maybe worse. For what it's worth, I spent a lot of my mid twenties doing those exercise videos. In hindsight, I wish I'd started running or long distance walking back then instead. The videos seem almost a waste of time now in terms of results. Before I

So, I started adding a lot more raw food (specifically fruit) to my diet. Felt great. Then I felt like I couldn't maintain it, so slipped. But cooked junk isn't appealing to me really either. I'm craving cooked veg like sweet potatoes and plain potatoes here and there, beans on toast, plain rice but not much else. I've lost my taste for a lot of junk (which is good) but not craving really good

Papaya is very nice too, very moisturising I find small amounts of coconut oil to be okay for knees and elbows but have found my skin is a bit too sensitive for it (shame, I like smelling like a coconut). Ela- yeah, shea butter on the lips is amazing! A long time ago I'd use those hard lip balms in shops and found they didn't do much, but shea butter practically melts dry lips away

Hi guys! Even the mainstream health food shops now are selling raw supplements- powders like all the greens (chlorella, wheatgrass, barley, moringa etc), purple/red powders (acai etc), baobob, maca, algaes. Do you dabble with them? And how much do you have a day? Do you have them by themselves or mixed into other things? Do you feel any major benefit? Sometimes I think I feel great fro

Brome- Yes, we should worry about the little details. If something living dies or gets injured because of our decision to manhandle it in some way because we feel entitled to do so, then we should care. Yep, most people won't give a toss and ultimately it doesn't impact you personally or have any real impact on the world but I'm sure the butterfly would have preferred to have been left alone.

Hi suvine, totally agree what you wrote about appearances. It's a lot more socially acceptable to say "I want to be raw/vegan/exercise more/eat well to 'feel' better" when a lot of it really comes down to vanity. We want to look younger and fresher and for us ladies (especially 30s onwards) it's easy to obsess about it, and feel shallow for admitting it. Most guys have no idea the s

I've been vegan a long time and was never totally sure how I felt about horse riding until I tried it a few years back where I was put in a situation on holiday where I had to go from A to B and horseback was the only option. The horses were being ridden by mostly inexperienced riders and they were out of control and seemed distressed. I felt very sorry for them. After that I decided I never

Really don't like Markus's response to the girl in the comments saying her hair fell out after fasting "That sometimes happens when the body detoxes. It means its dealing with much deeper issues in the body." I don't know what Markus's qualifications are, but that kind of response to a stranger on the internet is very poor advice. "Something worrying/abnormal happening to you

Daniel Vitalis can apply the same argument to the meat he eats too, right? Animals are selectively bred. I like his 'wild' message in other areas of life. But he's taking it to the point of being a fanatical douchebag, unfortunately. I don't think the Vitamix he uses for his recipes is very 'wild' either. Fruit is awesome, end of.

I had a good chuckle at the pixie jokes I've never had golden kiwis, I'm impressed the skins can be eaten though. How do the gold fruits compare nutritionally to green ones? Re: @ banana who/kiwibird - I meant skins that aren't easily removed from the fruit. I love bananas No problems there As for kiwis and pineapples- I have not been getting on with these. Maybe I've been unfortunat

Freelee & Durian Rider aren't multimillionaires FFS. Being taken to court must have been scary as hell, and I don't think anyone should have had demands of what those two should have been shouting about in court. Freelee/DR = pro-fruit, pro-animal rights, pro-health, pro-exercise, pro-calories ... therefore, I support them.

I don't believe in a creator. I see what you're saying though, but I mean in a 'not meant to be eaten' because they have some specific physical side affects- like the irritating hairs in the kiwi, the acidity of the pineapple and the sharpness of their seeds in the mouth. Rosehips are another.

This is for fruit that can't easily be 'got at' without knives i.e kiwis, pineapple These two in particular- sometimes it's like eating glass even when ripe. I wonder if their skin is a way of saying 'dont eat me' I'd exclude fruits like durian as that cracks open when ripe.

I'll kick it off: What 'baddies' are in your diet? -Small amounts of coke/coffee, soy milk, some cooked foods such as fries (I'm still transitioning) Do you wear make-up? -Yes, some chemical (Barry M, Superdrug 'B' brand), some more natural (Green People). What are your toiletries like? -All vegan. Mostly natural i.e. sea salts, simple soaps, Green People products, Dr Organic product

I wish she wasn't going so crazy on the supplements (especially those cheapy looking ones that are full of filler), and I hope that she detoxes the rest of her life i.e. stops wearing makeup, ditches the chemicals in the bathroom/kitchen. Good on her though. It is a really brave decision, especially when most people will be shouting her down for it. Best of luck to her.

Hi John, but of a gross question but did you ever take any photos? I think most people are dubious of claims on the internet when people post about crazy stuff coming out of them (i.e. all those intestinal plaque photos that may or may not really be psyllium/clay). Maybe keep a camera on you

Panchito- they're both 'after' photos judging by the captions. I guess the guy just didn't keep practicing what he preaches. Lots of health 'gurus' at some point look puffier than what they did before. RawPracticalist- I get they're different- grass vs refined, but as much as I have loved wheatgrass in the past, I can't help wonder if potent shots of the grass juice aren't a good thing. It ta

Maybe his failed LASIK was also behind his affairs? "Oh sorry, I thought you were my wife..." Yeah I'm on the fence a bit here, I really like the convenience, and TBH lenses irritate my eyes and have definitely caused a downward spiral in my eyesight. How much was it, if you don't mind me asking, coconutcream?

90. LASIK?
Hi again, Has anyone here had LASIK before? Were you happy with the results? Can you ever heal from this? I've read the scarring on the eyes never heals (amongst other negativity), but not sure if it's a tit-for-tat contact lens industry propaganda. Thanks
