"Eating a lot and staying thin is not being metabolically efficient, it's actually being very inefficient." And this is exactly why you see some leaders use detox's as a way of making their bodies more efficient and eating less. Anne Osborne talks about this in one of her youtube videos. And watermelons?? I'm guessing you had eaten a great deal of it! Watermelons are actually on

A negative statement. We are not on a debate team. I don't have to do anything. And I don't like to argue. Then again, I don't really care what people think of me either lol. If that is your opinion, so be it. jtprindl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > All you did was run away when asked for evidence > to confirm your claims.

I have to agree with this. I'm very petite at only 5 foot. I do not like the set amount of calories. I did this for a while (and was still losing weight) BUT I began to lose my appetite from eating so much. I believe people should listen to their bodies and eat when they're hungry and stop when they're satisfied. On average, I eat between 1000cal to 1500cal. On a day with a larger

Not really. I was agreeing with you that the blood ph is always alkaline. You can't even agree with me when I'm agreeing with you? Lol Im so done. Quote: "Our blood pH is tightly regulated and always slightly alkaline, regardless of the previous meal we just ate."

No there isn't ---- Woow the fact that you can respond with in several minutes with out really looking through the research really proves that I'm wrong. Congratulations. FRUIT!! Get the fruit in!!! BANANAS! Bananas have these wonderful chemicals in them that prevent depression and promote feeling good. I've been where you're at before. And let me tell you, bananas were the big changer that rid me of depression I struggled with for years.

Some food for thought: click here A quote straight from the article: "Studies by Dr. Bess Dawson-Hughes, at the Jean Mayer U.S.D.A. Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University, and collaborators have demonstrated the acid-neutralizing ability of fruits and vegetables and the crucial role they can play in maintaining healthy bones. The researchers note that fruits

I can definitely understand your point. However, like stated below, you do not have to add water to your smoothie. You could easily blend fruits without additional water. Especially water rich fruits. "This is no way indicates that high-carbohydrate intake is the reason for their longevity. They also eat primarily plant-based diets, engage in lots of moderate physical activity, and live low-stress lives." Of course other factors such as exercise and stress are important for overall health but diet is key. As you stated above.. primarily plant based diets.. plant based= rich in

I can agree that fried foods smell gross to me too. Just the smell of all of that grease is repulsive. My sense of smell has definitely increased over my health journey. I like to take Michael Arnstein's approach on this matter: you can appreciate the smell of something but at the same time, recognize that that is not your food rab Wrote: -------------------------------------------

Hunter gatherers are also not looking at computer and tv screens all day. These strain the eyes unfortunately. Its kind of hard to avoid eye irritants in industrial society.

Personally, my favorite to mono diet on is clementines. They're sweeter than oranges, almost like candy, and very hydrating. Anne Osborne did a several month long mono fast on oranges. Bananas are delicious. However, if you added in greens with the bananas, then it would no longer be a mono diet. Greens typically take more energy to digest as well.

"Is this mucoid plaque caused by acidity? I don't see how it could be because the lungs and kidneys would regulate acidity in most people. And even if we assumed that the bones neutralized acidity (it can in rare cases) then there shouldn't be any mucoid plaque because acidty wouldn't exist because the bones would have neutralized it. Can you see how what you are saying doesn't make any sens

I sure can! I recommend the book "Healthy at 100" by John Robbins. Several centenarian cultures are studied in depth along with giving details on their diet, lifestyle, and health. ALL of the cultures have diets that are high carbohydrate, low in protein and not high in fat. Also, the Okinawa are the longest and most thoroughly studied of any centenarians and their diet is in

On the topic, the results of the study don't surprise me but are interesting to read. Junk food isn't "food" at all and is created by scientists to be addictive. Otherwise, they wouldn't have repeat customers to sell product to. On the note of global warming, this is a very important issue. It is a shame that health advocate leaders spend such a large amount of time fussing over

I don't know about anyone else here, but I salivate over really good quality fruit. Sometimes just the site of bananas after not having them for a few days is enough. There's these amazing clementines and cherry tomatoes I get and they burst in your mouth with such an incredible flavor. For fats, avocados and coconuts have this affect for me. The smell of coconut is so heavenly... <3

It makes your muscles burn? How interesting.. Where do you get the muscle burn? I do not get a burning feeling. Normally bananas make me feel vibrant and happy. The pain I get is more like muscle spasming. And it is a very distinct, sharp pain that is on going. The worst time, it went on for 2-3 hours straight. I'd never experienced such pain before. I've never had a plantain but alwa

Thank you for the lists! Much appreciated. The sweet potato salad sounds interesting! Do you happen to have a recipe for the vinaigrette? I drink 1 liter of water with lemon juice before eating anything. I hadn't exercised. My sister also eats a high fruit diet and has no such issues. I have no negative symptoms from fruit the rest of the month. I had read somewhere that vitamin A
