I have in fact met several people who are very muscluar AND raw-vegan! I am not going to try to convince you about protein requirments, you seem to be content in your own beleifs. You

There are so many "health food energy bars" coming out in the markets. Many of them are raw. They all contain lots of dried nuts, seeds, coconut, dried fruit, and sometimes superfoods hrown in there. For me, I love good dried fruit snacks, or dehydrated crackers occassionally but i cant eat more than a bite of those "energy bars"

hey alive! have you ever tried blue agave nectar, its fairly cheap. it is sweeter than sugar so it goes along way and is relatively low on the glycemic index

Mark, mixing sugar and fat works out fine. it can accually help if you have hypoglycemia or sugar sensitivites, the fat will slow sugar metabolism. ie.fruit smoothie with hemp oil or coconut/banana/strawberry/date... and the common diet variable is not high fat/low carb or highcarb/low fat about half of us seem to require high protien and the other half high carb. ------------------

healthy raw fat will displace accumulated bad fat (fats that heal, fats that kill) so it is not accually counter-intuitive the gallstone flush requires fasting for three days on green apple juice and water, on the third day you down 8 oz of lemon juice and 8 oz of extra-virgin organic stone crushed olive oil, then lay on your right side for six hours... I have never done this, but people sw

-a 100 % rawfood diet is not for EVERYONE at this point in their evolution. -Some people, for example, could experience, severe, possibly fatal detox/adjustment symptoms. sometimes there are [[]] -& sometimes people simply just cant digest all that rawfood (real fiber)! until their digestion is strengthened. *point is: it is a proccess. getting back in touch with your body, insticts,

If you really want to use sweeteners, blue agave nectar is accually relatively low on the glycemic index and doesnt spike your blood/sugar level. and sunshine has good advise, also raw fats or oils with sweet foods will slow the sugar release and maintain the energy longer

good response Bryan. I might add, additionally, that the raw diet does contain sedative substances ie. the opiates found in lettuce and other foods in the lettuce family... A glass of letttuce juice is very relaxing! And alkaline/ stress relieving.

I think we get the point ITS REFINED, some kijam's dont eat refined foods (bryan) some do (me) I eat: coconut oil, olive oil, hemp oil, pumpkin seed butter, tahini, almond butter, hemp butter, sea salt, etc etc etc... IT IS REFINED. SO WHAT? A SMOOTHIE IS REFINED ALSO (some more than others lol! mine are "refined" to perfection!)

Bryan, >>hey, perhaps because I eat some fruit and follow a program of natural health that I must think differently than ordinary folk. I think most here follow a natural health "program" (and eat some fruit) We do ALL think differently as well.

the rawer & healthier you become the more sensitive you will become in addition to being potentially dangerous to stop the medication "cold turkey" it is also potentially dangerous to take pharma drugs after being raw for some time. I agree with dave mason etc... about transitioning raw (with meds) and slowly wane the drugs when you feel you are healthy enough to do so safely.

narz I know,... this subject has been coming up for years. This is a RAW board, not a natural hygiene board. I gave up on Bryan years ago. Your right that it is a serious subject, I dont have as much 'free' time as Bryan to post on this board everyday, but if I did I would really focus on awnsering newbie and struggling questions! I just hope people see the many conflicting opinions and think

Hey ohhhhhhhhhh myyyy sun god!!!! I love that stuff! You can find G.T.'s Kombucha & Synergy kombucha (& sometimes local stuff depending where you live) at health food stores. But the best way is to make it yourself!! You'll need to get some the kombucha/mushroom culture, then brew it with whatever teas or fruits you want. It takes months to grow the "mother" but then you'l

If you would like, Ill give you some oat recipe's!

Amanda, I totally know what your talking about. there are very challanging times that come up. Detox is a total body mental emotional physical spiritual house cleaning. it brings up weaknesses allowing you to move past them and become stronger. Emotions and will-power is tested. YOU REALIZE HOW ADDICTED TO FOOD YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN. It can be a rough road dis-attaching & un-conditioning thi

Bryan, Thats great your happy and healthy on that diet. For me, measuring calorie intake is irrelevent. The amount of fat calories i eat varries, my food instincts are more valuable than "3-5% calories from fat" For me, and everyone is different, i've been healthy NOT avoiding nuts, seeds, coconuts, avocados, and oil.
