It won't be permanent kiwi. Don't let that fear hold you back. The addiction will play fear tricks on your mind - but then it will be over, and you will be so glad you quit! You will be a free human being again. Been there

Quotefresh Strawberries are not low in any of those nutrients you mentioned. For 2500cal the values are over 100 Well, except for selenium and B12. But otherwise, I concede that point if we're talking about 2500 calories. However, WHO's Vitamin A requirement (for men) is not 300 iu retinol equivalents. "IU" is "International Units". The WHO requirement is 300 microgram

I'm noticing that several of the nutrient sites - even USDA - are possibly figuring %DV Vitamin A in strawberries as if it's coming from retinol, not beta carotene, even while they also show 0 content retinol. I'm concluding this because if the Vitamin A in strawberries is calculated from the retinol DRI (3000 IU/day, as opposed to 18000 IU/day for beta carotene), the figures match. But that's an

Thanks for filling in on the details riverhouse. I do remember some now. I remember the FBI tried to say she and Darryl were carrying the bomb deliberately en route to committing some violent act. The bomb was under Judy's seat, and after the bomb went off, they were both arrested. I didn't know Judy died of breast cancer later. So unfortunate. She was a hero for her cause, and a very brave

Thank you fresh! A correction to my post above: DRI is "dietary reference intake", not "daily recommended intake". Sorry to harp, but I don't know what you're using for your definition of "requirement". IF the Vitamin A in strawberries came from retinol (it doesn't), then we'd only require 3000 IU of Vitamin A to achieve the DRI. 30% of 3000 IU is 900 IU

That's why my respect for you riverhouse is over the moon. Not that I'm personally a big fan of the kine, but your words resonate. And I remember Judy Bari (and how she was killed by a bomb in her car) - no phony conspiracy theory. The FBI copped to it and had to pay that huge settlement. And I remember Earth First, Redwood Summer, and the nuclear test site outside Las Vegas. I haven't be

Hi fresh! So, getting right to the point: Do strawberries really provide sufficient amounts of all required nutrients? I think we need to qualify that somewhat, to consider how much strawberries we'd have to eat. 1 cup of strawberries provides about 18 IU of Vitamin A, nearly all of it from beta carotene. Daily Recommended Intake (DRI) for Vitamin A - if coming from beta carotene - is arou

Thank you Veronica. That was very uplifting (needed that)! I like all the clips, and definitely the one with the guy raising up his arms was nice. I like to imagine the certain point where the animals (especially the wild ones) realize they're being helped, not hurt.

Suggestion: Visit your local solar dealers. They will be familiar with other off-grid water systems in your area, and your solar installation may very well be linked to your water system if you have a water pump.

Just in case you haven't seen this article jtprindle... It has some OK tips, especially on drilling a well. The expense will depend on how deep the water is in your area, so the tip to check the state geology office is probably a good one. Also, the driller will have a general idea about your area. There are of course areas where water depth is extremely variable and unpredictable. You

Depends on where you live jtprindl; but if you get enough rain, catchment is fine. Many people on catchment have gutters and a pipe system going from the roof to a covered tank, a water pump for pumping water from the tank into the house, and a good filter system. Or instead of pumping the water, you could have gravity feed from your tank and carry your water where you use it. If you have acce

Speaking of.... A happy coincidence that Ron Paul is in favor of the peace deal with Iran. I just heard of this last night from my husband, who saw him speak on the news. I've never been a big fan of Ron Paul, but I believe in giving credit where it is due! One thing I have always liked about him, is that he's always been bold enough to speak up for what he believes - regardless of whether

Back to the Confederate flag. I'm so glad for South Carolina and the people there. For a while, there may be a backlash against taking it off the capitol grounds, as some people assert their right to fly it themselves. They can do this if they like. There's no law against it; and now, thankfully, there's no law FOR it.

John, it's OK. I have resolved to forgive you for anything negative you throw my way. (Like name-calling, etc.) If you don't appreciate it, that's not my issue. Whenever you throw something good my way, then of course there will be no need for forgiveness! I will probably thank you instead! If we never get there, so be it. On my part though, I still have to do the best I know how,

John, my definition of usury is the one listed 1st in Miriam Webster. It's considered the "archaic" definition, which is fitting, since I'm an oldster. I was addressing the borrowing and lending practices related to individuals, which I believe you addressed also, related to mortgages. If you'd like to discuss the borrowing and lending practices of governments, you don't need my

It doesn't require any affiliation with the Jewish religion. To imply that
