I tried the metabolic typing diet for my type. I gained weight and my gallbladder hurt like hell. I was hoping it would work for me because at some level, I'd LOVE to eat (forgive me) lots of potroast. And I was, ostensibly, a high protein type. I even shelled out a bunch of bucks and worked with an expert in the field for six months. It didn't do anything for me. Went back to raw. Then final

My Dad's gallbladder had dissolved into a mess of black jelly like goo when they finally opened him up. I haven't asked my brother what happened to him, but he did have it removed. Didn't know that till recently. I haven't had mine X-rayed or anything. I stay far away from MD's unless I absolutely need to see them. It's just that when I've eaten too heavily of fats, it hurts. It hurt with the n

the best answer I found to raw. I tried everything else. I didn't lose weight ---to much fats. I feel better, more satiated on 8-1-1 than anything else I have ever done. I feel I can and will do this for life. No deprivation here and no liver overload. Pure delight. Simple.

my father and brother both had theirs removed. Mine always bothered me - even on a raw diet of 8 years UNTIL....drum roll....I started doing Doug Graham's 8-1-1 program. Completely pain free and feeling grander all the time....no deprivation, better and better energy. Get it his book. It works. It is the crowning creation of raw foods.

I've followed your raw story for years. Can I offer a suggestion from someone who has had her ups and downs as many times as you have. Get yourself a copy of Doug Graham's book. It really does work. It makes it very easy and very fulfilling. Nice to see you again.

I would be very interested to hear as the process unfolds for you. I will be interested to hear how your liver does with the amount of fat on the rainbow green. Please let us know.

My own experience is that I have to eat greens with my fruit, almost every time or I feel unbalanced. I'm not saying that is true for everyone - but it is for me. I put them in my smoothies for brekkie and lunch. If I don't, I don't feel grounded, satisfied and clear.

I know exactly what you mean and are going through. It takes quite a bit to contain the thrill of something wondrous until someone comes to your door literally begging to hear. I, too, have made the same mistake, many times. Hopefully, I'm learning to just living it quietly until someone(s) really ARE interested. Isn't the fruit exquisite? IT DOES quell the unbalanced cravings I was having for

I just had to take the moment to let you know how deeply grateful I am for your presence on this board and in the world. The purification that you have allowed to occur through yourself is so palpable and such a blessing to all. there is an exquisite transparency to your expression - unresistant, unflappable, unjudging. I have always found that the clearer one gets, the more others project the

After eight years of raw - every permutation of it...higher fruit, lower fat -8-1-1, no salt, no condiments, no dehydrating - I'm thriving like a little puppy and no sense of deprivation. I did think Doug Graham was nuts for a long time. Till I tried what he said, because everything else ultimately failed me. I finally let myself have as much fruit as I wanted. I feel fantastic, and balanced.

program works out for you. I tried it a year ago - faithfully for 6 months. Ended up feeling awful, dark circles under eyelids (liver/gallbladder stress). Finally have ended up on Graham's 8/1/1/. Finally, finally really thriving on raw because of it. But that's only me. I hope it works well for you.

He posits that the desire for grain reveals that you're not getting enough fruit during the day. I used to think he was extreme and goofy. But I tried it - not as much as he eats - and it works. I find if I eat enough fruit in a day, it kills the craving for most other things. Good luck!

eat in a day. But my advice is not to get obsessive with measuring. Sure, experiment with 15%. See how it feels or works in your body. It may be too little, or not. and that may change over time. If you're raving ravenous with only ! T of oil per day, it's too little for you now. Just keep playing with it. It's fun. Be willing to change as you go along in your cycles. Enjoy! PG

I think it depends on where you live, as well. I live in Colorado: cold and snow. I have tried just about every combination and permutation of raw that there is. I've finally settled on fruits, veggies, no salt, no vinegar, and 120 calories of overt raw fat per day - either flax oil, tahini, nuts, or avo. I haven't been doing this in the summer yet, so I cannot say what that might bring.

Mike, Morrisson, I wasn't aware of the supermarket water machines, except walmart which I know has RO (reverse osmosis!. Great idea. Fruitgirl....how adorably kind. Thank you. Hey.....when the schedule completes itself, I'll let you all know. Wouldn't it be fun to meet some of you. I've been on this board since 2000, I think. Never met another raw foodie yet! Thanks again, all. I think it

I"m going to be on the road doing concerts starting in June. In my little car - read: not copius amounts of extra space. Anyone have some suggestions about what to do, water-wise, on the road. What are the most decent kinds of water to buy "out there." I realize it's not a perfect world, so I'm not expecting diamonds and pears. Just looking for the best water that I can find while

Not only is it true manhood that this world needs, but it's the brotherhood of true men that, well, makes my knees weak. It's this brotherhood that we need so much on this planet. Women don't know it, but we will never know a real sense of safety until the brotherhood is in place - as my sacred other calls it - the male matrix. Most often men engage through "buck wars" - challenging

I've probably alluded to this before, but I'm a pompom girl for true manhood - that steady. loving radiance, that like the sun - the symbol for the true masculine in our solar system - simply shines, radiates love, steadily on all. It rejoices me no end that we have so many examples of this on our dear little board. the world is literally starving for such mem.the world will not make it without t

Interesting..... Yes, I did the 10X3 for the recommended time....which was where the headaches were till close to the end of that cycle....then the 3X3 which lasts a little over a month. I have to say, I have noticed a marvelous benefit to Zeolite. My energy really is stronger and more stable. And I have struggled with headaches all my life, no matter what I was eating. This has helped, I've n

It looks from your reports on what you are eating at present that you don't eat any fat at all. seems a lot less than 8-1-1What is your thinking here? Secondly, it looks like you don't eat a plethora of raw greens - celery is not so terribly green, nor is romaine (well that's not necessarily true). No kale, chard, spinach etc. Do you have any concern about not getting mineralized enough? I

I also want to reiterate my own experience. When I started the zeolite, I had headaches every day for 3 weeks. I had the inner urge, however, to keep going. I sensed something was being pulled out of my body. After three weeks, the pattern cleared and I felt better than before. I cannot say that this will be a truth for you, but I wanted to share my experience.

I had a headache daily for the first two weeks. Then I felt great. This implied to me that something was being cleared out with the use of the Zeolite. And I have to say that I had the same experience as the person who said it helped them when they ate a celebratory unraw meal. Although I am ten years raw, I decided to enjoy a cooked meal, gourmet, out on Christmas eve with my family. I ate turke
