Hey Juicin John, I tried the coffee enema once after reading about it at the Gerson site. The coffee (caffein) relaxed my spincter muscle to the point that I was not able to retain the coffee inside more than 3 minutes. Before you know it, I was taking a bath in excrement. I won't be doing that again ! SuperInfinity, don't give up posting as I put much value on reading your input. I have also

Hi Kellykim23. No, I make carrot & apple juice and drink that mixture separately. I use a Blendtec to make green smoothies every morning. In my morning smoothie I put 1 cup of uncooked oats, 1 handful of spinach, 2 cups of soymilk, 1/4 cup wheatgerm, soy yogurt, 1 tsp. flaxseed oil, a slice of cantelope (with seeds), and two bananas. I am a mailman and need lots of energy to kick off

I have a Breville. I used to have a juicer that was the auger type but I got rid of it. I also had a Norwalk. I got rid of that also. I have found that the Breville is best for me. I find it is very very quick to make juice. I also find that it is very quick and easy to clean. I wish I had known what my preferences were in advance as this would have saved me alot of expense trying the various j

Hi Lizard, Tamukha gave you some good advice. You may also try watching the many videos on utube.com . Just do a search for "wheatgrass" and you will find many videos that may answer some questions and make you feel more comfortable and confident that you can grow wheatgrass.

I had to share this picture with someone. I have been trying to educate my daughter about the health benefits of smoothies. Here is a picture of her and my grandchild. She loves it and looks good wearing it too.

I got an email response from Pacific Natural Foods. What a nice letter: Dear Deenis, Thank you for emailing us. Pacific Natural Foods does not use Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) in any of our products. We understand your concern, as many people who are allergic to MSG are worried about hidden sources of free glutamates. Consumers have been incorrectly educated that any ‘natural flavoring’

I called about the Rice Dream milk. They apologized for not emailing back but they were behind due to the long holiday. I asked the person there ""is there MSG, Autolysed Yeast Extract or any other Glutamate in the product" and she said that in the past it was not required for companies to disclose the Glutamates and that they could be listed under "Natural flavors". She

When I first learned about MSG and the other names it falls under, I went through my pantry and found over half of my foods contained MSG. I got rid of all of those products immediately. I am so disappointed with our FDA (Food and Drug Administration.). They really should be protecting the population much better than they have. I just emailed both companies. Curious to see what they say. I'll

Hi dhsredhead, I am trying to find the information that you found on the websites of Pacific and Rice Dream that you were writing about. I looked on their websites but cannot find that information. Can you tell me where to look for the web page? I found a list of ingredients on the Pacific website but cannot find the other information about MSG. Can you help? Thanks! ( I am going to email

Thanks. I thought that these results were way too over the top. Orange juice bad for you???? Hard to believe. It seems to me that this would have been discovered 50 years ago by observing the teeth of those working in O.J. plantations.

Additionally, drinking raw, organic cows milk is bad for you. True, it is not as bad as cows milk that has been cooked/pasteurized and has growth hormones in it. But there is casein in the milk and fat and protein in the milk which can be very bad for you. Any protein in your system that is above what the body actually requires is considered by some to be carcinogenic ( go to google videos and se

Hi dhsredhead. My experience with soybeans is different than yours. Many farmers consider themselves soybean farmers. The soybeans grown are the primary crop sought after. Soybeans "fix" nitrogen into the soil. This means that no artificial fertilizers are needed. Clover hay and other crops can also "fix" nitrogen into the soil. Soybeans play a vital role in fertilizing th

Hi pandito, Like you, I too am fairly new to the healthy lifestyle. I started out with a juicer. After some time (and saving alot of money) I finally had to quench my thirst for nutritional knowledge and buy a high-speed blender. I love both. They both have their own special place in my diet. You will be living better with your blender, but you might be living even mo-betta with the addition of

Hi Lee_123, As has already been said, keep reading as much as you can on this forum for suggestions to improve your health. You are doing the right thing by asking questions here. Knowledge is power. I know you are asking for advice from expert juicers. I am no expert as I have only been juicing for a few months. I would suggest taking the easiest route. A juicer for carrots and apples.

Hello, I am researching the various high-end blenders and was wondering if it is possible or advisable to chop items such as a yellow onion or red pepper in a blender in the same way as a food processor? I am outgrowing my "Personal Blender". Is the square blending container of the Blendtec better at chopping?

I also wanted to add that I canceled the order for the Green Star about an hour after I ordered it. I think for now, since I am so happy with the ease of the Breville Centrifugal, and because I am at least getting a little live enzymes, I will stick with it. I know that I am getting some good enzymes with my spinach/banana/fresh soymilk/stevia smoothies. Once my Breville finally bites

WY, I noticed on another thread that you said "So I'll continue to use my Auger juicer for Celery, and my Centrifugal juicer for Carrots. " I think that is a wonderful idea!! I do so like my centrifugal Breville, it is very easy to clean and so fast and easy to feed carrots and apples (my favorite mix).

Wow, thank you loeve. That is just the scientifically approached information I have been searching for. Not only does it directly answer my query of "Do centrifugal type juicers kill enzymes" but it also goes further and answers other questions that I had or should have had. Based on this information, I just purchased a "Green Star GS-1000". I only hope that it does not req

Perhaps they mean pasteurized? Not sure. 70 degree Celsius = 158 degree Fahrenheit (pasteurization temp.) Well, I am feeling better about my Centrifugal juicer. I also had a Norwalk juicer but I sold it. It was way too messy and slow processing. The gerson therapy claims it is the only juicer that can be used in their therapy to effectively boost the immune system of final stage cancer victim
