Is it even possible to grow herbs or anything else without any direct sunlight ? I don't see why not. My reasoning is that people in offices have ornamental plants on their desks or in their cubicles that are not exposed to sun light that thrive, so my guess is that your herbs could do just as well. Likewise, some business have decorative plants that have grown fairly large, i.e. in their lo

Hi CY: Believe it or not, I've never planted according to a reccommended season or any season at that. If it's a seed I'd either sprout it or just put it in dirt and let things take their course. Once it began growing, then I'd leave it in a pot or transfer it to the ground. That's the same practice I've used for plants that propagate by leaves or branches. I know that it may sound odd do

Even if major detox does take place, it will be because your body has built up enough energy to handle it (although it may not feel that way when you are going through it) and is actually creating it to get rid of stuff that shouldn't have been sitting around in the first place--both physical and emotional issues. As noted before, it all depends on where you are coming from and the rate you are

I don't see why not. In the past when I planted tomatoes, I never bought seeds. I just kept the seeds from those tomatoes I enjoyed the most and planted them.

The recent incident in Virginia has generated much discussions about some of the undesirable side effects of antidepressants including the use of the medications by others who also committed antisocial activities. Obviously all medications are chemicals designed to acheive a specific reaction, which is the whole point of taking them, but reading any drug guide or inserts will show that there are

Hi Peisinoe: What I'm sensing from the conversation you had with your husband is possibly insecurity that maybe he himself is not aware of and is venting these feelings by projecting that anger towards you and your vegetables, since you are the one who initiated the changes by adopting a healthier lifestyle eating them. If that's the case, arguing with him to see things from your viewpoint wi

Greenie: I'm aware of the dramatic claims of old fecal material hanging around for years and weighing several pounds and that the products being touted are specially formulated to remove it, since ordinary laxativea and enemas supposedly can't. On the other hand, I too have had the opportunity to observe colonoscopies and endoscopies (the tube or scope inserted from the mouth to see the u

I took a look at the draft guidance that the link above pointed to and the impression I got with its specificity is that it targets any and everything not part of the allopathic system that is used to promote healthful living. Who knows, maybe in the future, just encouraging someone to take deep breaths in a pristine non-polluted environment may also be considered an unapproved practice as it

Mia: A day only has 24 hours, of which aprox. 8 or so is used for sleeping or rest related activities. For most people more than 1/3 of the rest of their day is used for work related activities including commuting. This does not include the extra time some raw foodists spend sprouting, preparing, dehydrating, vitamixing their foods, etc--not to mention time surfing and posting on this board.

Suvine: As stated above, almond trees do grow well in Florida. As a matter of fact, there were some large almond trees about the height of ± a 2 story building growing not far from your neighborhood on the Baptist Hospital campus in Kendall. I haven't been down there in years and don't know if they are still around or have since been cut down, but I used to admire them. They ar

Freeze the bananas then run them through the champion to make ice cream. Sprinkle ground flax or nuts if desired. ********* Use the walnuts, a few raisins and a wee bit coconut oil and make the base of a mini pie or even the size of muffin. Use the apples, mashed and shredded, ground flax, sprinkled with cinnamon and make a filling.

Have you looked at thegardendiet.com? They have e-books available and if my memory serves me right, their recipes are fairly simple, and no dehydrating involved. Also don't overlook your own creativity in preparing simple meals. You know your own tastes and preferences better than any author, so starting from items you already enjoy eating, you could consider making simple modifications such

To recap, in that first entry, there were 13 responses, 1 of which did not address what the originator of the post asked. Since then, 9 more responded, bringing the total to 22.
