I came across this the other day, some of the "reasons" are so funny, we should all be able to relate to quite a few of these:

Interesting read. I think back then they eat what they could, if it gets very cold it is difficult to find vegetation. I would imagine that it warmer climates people were vegans but you won't find too many frozen corpses in Africa I wouldn't think. I would bet that early man eat insects much like a lot of Apes and Monkeys. I have given up on looking for what we are supposed to be and focus

The sources that I have read from that you sound use Cold Pressed Oil and if you cannot find it then use Refined Oil.

The oil and water issue does make some sense actually. I guess thats why some people say eat dried fruit with nuts, hhhmmm.

I used to make a sort of cereal by smashing up some almonds with the blender and add small pieces of apple and banana, berries any fruit. These days I tend to just have fruit, pineapple is good in the morning. When transistioning it can be good to sort of try to re-create the things you used to like for breakfast. This is also quite good if you chop up the larger ingredients or throw t

Yeah, it is an interesting concept. Our own skin oil is used to purge toxins through the skin. So a large concentration of a similar oil should work on a larger scale.

Yeah, I posted a link to a site claiming that a couple of months ago. Some say bananas have B12 but most don't. One thing is for certain though, the banana is one tasty fruit!

Stupid Vegans, not wanting to discuss non-Vegan subjects on a Vegan board, what a silly concept indeed.

It is an interesting topic, of course I don't have any experience of it! However I have always found it a little strange that humans are the only species where menstration happens in females even though there are lots of species with similar reproductive systems. The body will ustilize any system availiable to cleanse toxicity from the body that has been induced by our modern lifestyle. It

This is strange indeed. Can you imagine doing it if you had company over! It would be like something out of a comedy show. I might give it a try.

The topic of oil pulling is very interesting indeed I know there has been talk of this before on here but I wanted to share my initial experiences with it. I have tried it but not with oils recomended (which are cold pressed sunflower or sesame). I used flaxseed oil, some sources say that this oil is not as good at getting rid of toxins etc, could be true. The first time I did it I spat

Try Agave nectar, I quite like it personally although I never seem to buy any lol. The problem with honey is that it is an unbalanced sugar, I agree with Arnold Ehret on that one, when I was transitioning to vegan it seemed to give me that strange feeling sugar rush like white refined sugars so I cut it out, and the bees are important of course!

Personally I think that the blood type diet is utter rubbish. I am O Negative and I have felt so much better since I quit eating animal products. Our anatomy is not like that of a carnivore, or even an omnivore for that matter, it most closely matches the anatomy of a herbivore. That is what I look at, particularly the length of the digestive tract, not blood type. Many felines have an AB bloo

As David says, it is best to go slow, if you try to just go Raw overnight it is highly likely that you will "Crash" and binge eat cooked food within a week and trust me I know from experience that makes you feel terrible. You've just got to go at your own pace, speed the transition up if you are comfortable, slow it down a little if you become uncomfortable. There is plenty of infor

The difficulty is in that some Christians take an Elitist "I'm right, everyone else is wrong" not just on religion but on most other things too. Free will is a waste of time if we all have to adhere to the same set of rules about every little thing in our lives. I avoid Churches like the plague now. In a general social setting Raw foodism isn't the "norm" so we will always

Sorry to hear that you are going through all that. Meat eaters are more likely to become deficient in B12 and a number of other nutrients than vegans. Respect is a two way street, you respect him and what he wants to eat, why can he not afford you the same courtesy? The fact is that you cannot live your life for someone else, you must be happy in yourself first. Obviously, "dump

It's not something I worry about because it can take 20 years to become deficient and then its cureable by a shot.

Given that I don't drink rain water or tend to eat food with dirt on it I take a supplement about once a week. If you look at the nutritional content of Banana's they supposibly contain B12, is this not true. Or perhaps it is only present in non-hybridised banana's?

The master cleanser is a great thing to do, definitely buy Stanley Borough's book and read it before starting. It can also help to join a site like www.43things.com where there are other people sharing their experiences of the MC.

I guess this is just one of those debates that is difficult to settle, the best thing to is try them if you really want to, and if you don't like the sound of what people said about them here or the cost then don't try them. Personally, when I eat anything that sort of "replaces" the junk I used to eat it just makes me want to eat the junk again so I steer clear. Also, anything that
