Kidraw, sorry I forgot to answer your question. The methadone program is very strictly regulated. I have to go to a participation chemist to 'dose' up every morning, and I'm given a 'take-away' for the days when the chemist isn't open, such as Sunday or public holidays etc. However, some people still abuse their drug of choice as well as the meth. In the beginning they want to become healthy and

Thank you all so much for the time you've spent here. Many of your suggestions I'm already implimenting, but others I haven't heard of, so there's much to think about and try. Jodi, we both can identify with our individual experiences, yet you supported your Mum for a whole year under duress. You must be a very strong person, yet we do what we must, and while the month I looked after my Mum ha

Oh wow, such good info guys, thank you so much. John what is E3live, and what food is it derived from? Veganjuice, I've tried hard to make it happen for us. I waited over a year, but things would only improve if I admitted that I was 100% in the wrong. I appologised for any hurt that I may have given them, and for my part in the circumstances, but there was no appology from them. Yes, there's

Hello my friends I've got myself into a rather bad predicament, since I've had two major operations in the last two years and became addicted on oxycontin. I tried so hard to use food and exercise to combat the pain, but in the end I continued to build up a tolerance to the drug. What else could I do? I've asked you all about this before, and some of your suggestions worked to some degree, and

Haha WY, there's heaps of such differences btw Oz and the States. And sometimes I think it was done on purpose just to be different from the English versions, for instance, in Oz you flick the light switch up for off and down for on. Also, the toilet works differently, and driving on the right side of the road. Man, that was hell to get used to when I was in the states. Anyway, I'm all for pos

Perhaps he's beginning to eat cooked food and trying to justify it by such erroneous reasoning as this. Just do what feels right for you, whether cooked or raw. I 'sometimes' add some cooked sweet spud to my raw salad which adds a delish flavour. But there will always be those who wish to throw a few rusty spanners in the works just to stir things up abit. And of course, based on either n

Fasting is very veneficial all round, but if not done properly can be problimatic. Whatever your reason, begin slowly with a two day fast that won't be harmful and will bring out any problem issues that you might have, in my opinion anyway. Take care, jalan

Oh yeah, another reason why the 316 stainless is used for asthetic parts is cause the 304 does discolour abit, and I've noticed this on the angel's augers. But a soak in std white vinegar cleans it up.

Thx WY, I hope all is well with you too. It's been a very busy year for me, what with winding up my parents estate and battling my siblings over possessions etc. It's almost over, and will be a form of closure for me. Many people like the Omega, and when people ask my opinion, I ask them how much do they want to shell out. Therefore, I actually end up recommending the Omega more than the angel

I bought my 7500 from 'Angel Juicer Australia'. It's the same as the 5500, but with an automatic reverse, where the 5500's reverse is manual. The email is angeljuicer7500@hotmail.com Do your due diligence on the stainless grades. I prefer the 304 since it's actually hard

John Rose has done the research, as have I, and in respect to physiology, omnivores are more like carnivores than herbivores, and that's according to all the available data. Panchito... trying to eat raw flesh is EXACTLY like trying to chew rubber hahaha, as we just don't have the slicing teeth that are needed, as ours are mainly for grinding. Furthermore, I really don't understand why obvi

I know that Aussie Indigenous people's diet was 70-75% veg. Prior to the discovery of fire, who knows, but definately not meat as we just don't have the jaw/teeth for slicing and dicing raw flesh. Anyway, try google scholar, legit research mostly. Cheers, jalan

Hi and welcome elover. As with Hep A and B, Hep C is a particular virus that is most ustually spread through contact with an infected person. However, a certain proportion of people have no deleterious symoptoms and may even rid their bodies of it within a year. I hope you fall into this category elover, but even so, you will help immensely by dietry changes. cheers, jalan

Yeah, I remember the old monitors, and how some used to crackle when switched on and off. But I'm glad that the LCD screens don't emit as much, but still, we've become so dependent on technology that we're exposed quite a lot. Also,I'm also concerned with all the signals (low level radiation) that's passing through us continually. Surely there has to be a negative consequence in years to come tha

I took a peek at the 'black pepper' discussion through the link you provided Madinah. Actually, it wasn't very dissimilar from our discussion bout garlic. One thing I noticed, was that some people seem to think that those who don't use condiments, or restrict their diet in some way, as denying themselves pleasure. A friend of mine said the same thing, but I don't see it that way at all. I e

Hmm, he was very courageous in putting that first vid up on utube, what with his huge business. But it was good to see Angela speaking on her own for a change, the most I've heard from her ever. They were worried about the radiation that mobile phones are surposed to give off, and the juries still out on that one I think. Personally, when I can, I just switch over to loud speaker so I don't ha

I have remembered that Paul's letter to the Roman congregation has a whole chapter about those who were judging others who were not eating meat. All of chapter 14 deals with the above, and while it does say in verse 2 that a person who eats vegetables is weak, it meant it in a spiritual sense, since the main point was concerning the recent change in doctrine about eating food that were conside

Yeah, I like that idea, and either/or I reckon, garlic or vinegar. Whatever, It's gotta be better than soap anyway. Actually, I only wash my crockery/cutlery with hot water/detergent once a week or less, or when I've used anything with oil in it. Since I mostly only prepare raw food, there's no oily residue which would need hot water/det. Ok, the only reason I can do this, is that I rinse o

Does anyone have an opinion re my last post??? As for the garlic as food issue, I don't see why garlic can't be classified as food since it has nutrient value. What about chilli, is it a food? I consider garlic as food, but I use it as a condiment to add another flavour. I also altinate garlic with black pepper, and would consider garlic more of a food than pepper. And why can't we use t

Yes, ditto to what Tam has said. And Arazor, you say a lot that you fill up and are then hungry an hour later. I think that you've stretched your stomach, so try reducing the amount of food you eat at any one sitting. Your stomach will shrink to it's 'normal' size and you'll find that only a sml to med amount of food will fill you and last the whole day almost. Also, don't forget that Psycholo

Hi and welcome Tristane My feelings are to transition slowly for around a year. Yes, eat more greens and less fruit, an throw in some semi-cooked vegies too. The cooked food will slow down the detox, hence your fatigue, so you'll feel a little better. It was only when I went full on raw, that I had the fatigue. It was months before I began to feel energetic. jalan

Welcome Arazor....It's best if you transition slowly and allow your taste buds to also change, until those foods you thought were bland now have their own unique and tasty flavour. Try only making a smoothy with two or some of your ingredients, and another with the rest. Blending everything WILL have only one flavour IMO. Cheers, jalan

Yeah, it's nearly impossible to throroughly wash them. What's a natural worm killer we could ingest periodically to make sure we aren't carrying a colony of worms in our intestines? A heap of garlic maybe??? jalan

Coming from a farming background, I was always told as a lad to wash the fruit'n'vegies well or I'd get worms. You know, that voice is still there in my head when I 'wash' my raw vegies for my salad haha
