Hiya Jerico, it's great to hear from you, so how are you these days? I hope everything is running smoothly for you. Oh, I'm 'geo' by the way, as I changed my user name recently. Do you still run your 'Boot Camps'? ............

I'd rather live a long HEALTHY life, than an UNHEALTHY life full of disease and suffering.... I think it was mentioned that Paul Bragg was fit and healthy right up until his death. Another person who had a similar life-style and diet was Jack La'lane, who was also fit until his recent death at age 95 or 96. So, while SAD eaters may life a long life, I believe that it's the quality of life that

I seems that you're in a real pickle Luvyuu. Perhaps you could go see your regular Doctor about it! Initially, I wouldn't say anything about being a raw vegan, as this may open up bias etc. But see if your doc can offer another explanation for the phenomenon. It may be only a matter of not chewing enough, or a lack of the necessary stomach acids, which can be remedied I beleive. I hope all will w

I wasn't refering to you Paul, and I didn't know that you'd found reference to BPB. I was only making clear my stand is all. I'm in a pretty ugly place atm, which has/is clouding my perception. I'm trying not to make any conclusions about anything, since I may be in error.

Very nice, as the young countries have incredible rugged, jagged mountains. Older continents, such as Australia have there own beauty, like the history, as it's still debated whether man came from Africa or Australia???

That's really nice Jodi, what an accomplishment for you. What's the rainfall like there, or will you have to irrigate? Cheers, jalan

Cool Pertwee, that suspension bridge is very similar to one not far from my home in a national park. I'll have to take a pic of my back yard for ya all to see. Only thing is that the council are 'beautifying' the area. I wish they'd just leave it alone, but they reckon it will bring more tourists. Cheers, jalan

278. Apology
I feel that I need to clarify an apology that I made to JohnA in the thread entitled 'Blenders with glass containers'. The topic even continued over on the 'vegan discussion' forum, and with some gusto until Prana closed it. I just feel that some may have misunderstood me, so as briefly as possible, I'll try to explain. I'm not going to get into whether the person in question was a troll or

Hmmm, well mine says 'super Angellia' on the box, but the actual machine says 'Angel' in large print and 'Angellia' in small. The word 'Angel' is pressed into the stainless too on the machine. Also, the words 'Angel' and 'Angellia' are used interchangeably in the 'user manual'. However, I do have the 10yr warranty.

Yes of course Jodi, I agree. But perhaps humans are capable of more than the basics??? Now if you believe in evolution, then whose to say that we haven't evolved additional way to survive? And if you believe in creation, than why wouldn't our creator want us to enjoy all the pleasures of this world, such as food flaviours and textures, the enjoyment of growing food, preparing a meal and eating

It's good for asthma too, as it helped me, and I had asthma pretty bad. As others have said, I also believe that it's the abuse of the drug that's the problem, and one reason for not legalising it. What I haven't read on this thread, is that THC is lipid or fat soluble (if it has, and I've overlooked it, plz forgive). So, it remains in our bodies alot longer than say alcohol, which is water so

Darn tootin' we are haha. Sorry Tam, but even when dipped in rice batter it's still delish LOL. I usually got them to fry it without the batter. I understand it would sound discusting, even for me now (it was almost 40yrs ago), but the flavour is something else. They mostly used the smaller but sweeter 'sugar' bananas, and it's hard to describe what the frying does. You'd have to try one to find

All I see is an effort to support the notion that cooked is better than raw, and that eating flesh is also more beneficial, even for a species where flesh isn't it's natural food. I'm with you Tam... Also, there's too much being read into these experiments. Of course they went 'ape' over this more or less 'new' food, wouldn't you??? I believe that this would have to be a longitudinal study, l

A dermatologist told me the sunscreens that are absorbed don't really do the job. They stop you from turning red, but they don't block the harmful rays. She said only preparations that contain zinc as a block do the job. In Northern climes, they say about 15/20 minutes each day is enough. Don't know if that was winter or summer though Flipper, sorry. You know, I believe that a diet that dep

Panchito, I have been a social pariah all my life. I have always felt and thought differently since primary school days. I've tried to fit in, to be liked and wanted, but for whatever reason/s, I would never really 'gel' with them. At the earliest opportunity I left home, which eventually lead me into an alternative lifestyle/hippie type back to nature etc. But all you have to do is eat differ

I fully believe it is possible for a very few people. From around four decades of experience, fasting etc., and after reading many books and talking to many people, and recently reading Jerico Sunfire's book and watching his vids, I'm inclined to believe. I remember when he posted on here, Jerico was a fruitarian for ages prior to transitioning to liquidarianism etc. He said that for him, it was

Ostensibly, taste bud cells have a high turn over rate, and are replaced around every two weeks (so I read somewhere). Therefore, it shouldn't be long before our normal, natural preferences show through. However Paulus...I'd think that your preferred tastes would have been established ages ago, unless you've kept eating the things that you craved when you began your raw vegan lifestyle. Oh, I

Oh, I know where you're coming from Paul..I think haha, poppy as in it maybe has some affiliation with the opium poppy. Don't know bro, but I think it's good to ask these things, as there are many poisons within foods albeit in very small quantities, and there's usually no problem. However, I heard of a guy who died cause he loved apple seeds, and saved up a whole cup full to eat on his birthd

I believe that mico waves travel in a straight line, so unless the oven is VERY leaky, then there shouldn't be a problem. Regarding the destruction of nutrients, it's believed that micro waves destroy more nutrients than infared heat (std ovens etc). Ostensibly, infared heat vibrates the water molecules, while micro wave heat spins them. The idea is that the spinning wrecks havoc on the neighbour

Hi Prana, Flipperjan, Coco and thx for your comments. Wanted to change my user name, as I've pretty much changed over all my 'geo' apps to 'jalanutan', and the only way I could do it is to delete my account and open another under the new name. I joined two Indonesian words to mean 'walk in the forest'. Jalan means 'walk', and utan means forest, jungle etc. Orang-utan (the ape) means man of the fo
