I agree Coco, as even the inorganic farmers markets (FM) sell mainly local produce which is fresh and sometimes even harvested the day before (sorry if someone already said that). I've never seen FM selling above the price of the larger Supermarkets, but at times they're equal with them. I still would rather buy at the FM for the principle, as it's hard enough for the small operator to compete

How so la-veronique? Like it depends on how large the body is? Maybe it's just a spare LOL. Hmmm, we do have two of most other organs, so why not a spare liver, and heart too?

Yep, I agree re backyards, and I too believe that population has a lot to do with hygiene. Hey, that Mad-Max-Machine sounds awesome. It must have great torque and low range gears. Yeah, we call those 'school run' 4b's, 'suburban 4wd's'. They're not really off roaders at all, and wouldn't pull your hat off in a gale LOL. I restored a morris minor once. A really great little machine, and I l

Yes, the meat, dairy and grain industries have the protein myth so etched into people's minds, that vegetarians stuff themselves with dairy and wheat for fear of not getting enough protein. And first time vegans are totally freaked out with worry of not eating enough protein. I must admit that for awhile it was at the back of my mind too. But I was working out and becoming stronger, even thoug

Hey Flipperjan, I agree with what you have said. Somehow, there seems to be a huge misunderstanding that has now focussed on you and your yard. So sorry if what I've said makes you feel that way, as I'm really saying that depending on the circumstances, 'vermin', or what could be translated as such can be attracted to a beautiful garden with floral, as well as vegies and fruit growing, if it w

I love a good ol' soak in bath salts, which has also something to do with inhalation too I think. I'm not so sure about what our skin allows to pass through it though. Like, we'd be in big trouble if our skin allowed just anything in. I'm abit skeptical about the chicken heart beating all by itself for any extended length of time in a isotonic solution which may or may not have stimulated the

Now that's a really balance reply. I usually try to see some positive in all the mess, but what you say re 'vermin' etc is so true. Perhaps the councils could tighten up their policies and legislation so as to be more specific. Now, I've seen some pretty ugly, untidy and overgrown suburban properties. Overgrown, not only with vegetation, but with garbage bags full of kitchen waste etc. Ten or

Hey Chat, hard work does bring out BO, but as I've said, it's not that bad. I stand by that, and I'd agree with you that dancing hard for hours would be equivelant to hard work. Sometimes, for some unknown reason, one underarm is worse than the other??? But still not the bad Pong of a SAD eater. About the bacteria, I think it depends on the amount of acidic toxins that are released, as to w

Yes La-veronique, a fenced off plot of land, and you don't have to do anything with it. Although, it is usually where crops, grass or animals are grown/kept. Sorry, I forget that ozzie slang is almost another language

Yeah, could be RawP, as they just heap on more organic fertilizer. I come from a fifth gen farming family, and we always rotated our crops. We'd rest one paddock for a whole year and after the harvest, we'd burn the stubble and leave it to grow grass naturally, which was then used to graze farm animals. Also, every few years, we'd plant a legume crop, which would return nitrogen to the soil and w

That sort of thing happens in Oz too, and it's usually some small town council that believe that they are Gods or something. 'A sign of the times'??? But what kind of sign? Perhaps, it's a last ditch attempt and show of power before a change to a more equal, balanced future society which are comprised of people who are more personally responsible for their community structure. Cheers, jalan

I'm even suspicious about locally grown 'organic' produce. I have to 'sample' what I can every time I buy organic from the local market. Sometimes, especially with spinach, it tastes horrible. Since I usually only eat raw vegies, it's important to now sample everything that I know has tasted sus' in the past. Also, sometimes the food is tasteless. I've found this with zucchinis, yellow squash,

Panchito, I'd really like to know more about Mg through the skin. I don't believe that suppliments work very good, with most of it being peed down the toilet. Can you direct me to some research or whatever about magnesium absorbsion through the skin please?

Sorry Phantom, it's a bone malformality due to aging. The only way that you can mitigate its progress is exercise, which means that movement will slow it down. I have it, though it's nowhere near as bad as spinal stenosis, which is a bulging of the disc into the spinal canal putting pressure on the spinal cord. However, each case is different and you may be in as much pain as I was with th

Thx swimmer, that's excellent info. Regarding your thoughts on power, and as you may or may not know, Oz is soon to adopt a tax on carbon pollution. And even though Oz contributes only a little over 1% of the world's co2 emissions, we are leading the way and the world in reducing this pollutant. We have to start somewhere, and the hope is that the world's nations will follow. I'm proud of our

For a few years now I haven't the need of any deoderant. I attribute this to a more alkaline than acid diet; hence, less toxins. Also, a lady friend of mine hasn't used deoderant for many more years than me. She uses perfume occasionally, but it's not to disguise any body odour. Of course, when we work phyically there's always BO, but I find that it's not offencive. Certainly not like the o

Hmmm, perhaps it depends on what area or country your in, as to parts. I get the idea of selling off your overflow, but if having a 'grid-tie' system means having batteries to keep you going if the system shuts you down, then might as well go 'off-grid' in the beginning. That is, if parts are available for those of us who are less electrical minded. I guess that the batteries would have to be

Ok, I knew the composite fillings didn't last as long and weren't as tough, but didn't know re seepage you mentioned coco. While the dental community now admit to mercury seepage, the amount is really minute. However, I'd think any amount is too much. In retrospect, and if I knew then what I know now, I think I'd have kept the amalgam. Actually, it wasn't the mercury per se that prompted me

I had all my amalgam filings removes back in 97, and all the amalgam 'bits' were sucked up a vacuum tube. However, as there was decay under the filings in some teeth, I don't think that the dentist did a great job of cleaning it all out, as the only decay that I've had since was under those ceramic filings
