hi jodi you knew what the possible risks were before you made your decision. so now you have view from the other perspective (which is obviously not very pleasant). everybody had a different technique of getting settled in to where they want to habitate. you chose this one so learn from it and realize its not the end of the world only a reminder of what lurks...... real easy to get

charley i notice you are first time poster here. most first time posters who come on with an approach such as yours are totally obvious and i need not say much more about it. and by the way green star 1000,2000, and 3000 are all exaclyly the same machine and actually the green star gold has the same motor and gears as the others....so it is quite obvious that you have no ideas from you

oxidation therapies!!!!!!!!!!! i had this along time ago and oxidation therapies was the only thing that got rid of it. bathing in a hot bath with a2 or three quarts of overthe counter hydrogen peroxide for as long as you can and then getting under the covers as soon as possible so as to sweat. chlorine dioxide (oxychlor) is another form but is harder to find and more expensive. ieas a

try putting some raw nuts and dried freuits in your greenstar and make a kinda of a "fruit nut dough" which you can form into any shape of cookie you may like. figs ,dates, apricots, walnuts almonds, peanuts, cashew, etc. can be used in the recipe. you could also make a sandwich with it using raw crackers made from flax and other goodies. i really enjoy the fruit nut dough when i c

arnold ehret is one of the most inspiring people affecting my life in a very positive way. his message really expresses the urgent necessity of keeping thing clean "on the insides" of our bodies. paul bragg and paavo airola are also important contributors to my lifestyle of healthiness! i recommend internal cleansing and cleanliness to everyone and anyone who seeks a positive phys

yes banana who sounds to me you would have been in perfect hands with the greenstar. fruit rinds are a "cinch" and the wide spectrum of other juicables to choose from with the greenstar makes it the ideal maching for juicing and grinding. i get alot of juice from the rinds which i juice. it is true that most of the soft fruits do not juice well in the greenstar unless you ta

jonl... i did notice that and it happened when i did not have the "hollow" plastic cover on the machine seated into the slot that secures in solidly. it was kinda like the "gramaphone effect". after i pushed it in place the noise stopped and i basically i t seems to be pretty much the same as the oldler models. in view of your asking the question now ...i may heve to sa

hi new... i have been using the green star brand juicer for mnay years and recently upgraded to the new gs 5000 or elite and i really love it. it is so easy to operate and clean. the wide variety of possibilities regarding fruits and veggies as well as wheatgrass makes it the all in one complete juicing machine. if you can afford the $500 price range i think you will be quite pleases with

hi wheatgrass yogi... i think you are right on the money with your "flip flop". i have always thought that blending was a questionable way of preparing foods for daily consumption...but i just didn't wish to break "everybodys blending bubble" so to say. my reasons are mostly in reference to oxidation and the denaturing of proteins which may occurs through the high speed

helen hi. i have owned both machines...and at the present time i am juicing with the gs elite. i must say that i prefer the elite but since you have indicated a considerable price difference between the two models in germany.....i would say that either one will serve you well. if the elite is too much for your finances at the time ...get the gs 1000 and you will have a wonderful juicing machi

a difficult question indeed..... it like asking someone what an apple tastes like if you have never tasted one. the lower can never comprehend the higher. a person with no background in physics has no way of understanding a doctor of quantum physics. it would be like ......duh???? since i am not an enlightened being ( although i am sincerely working ) i can only share with you the bes

i have had mine for almost a week now and have come to the conclusion that it is something of a cross between a juicer and puree maker. i say that because everytime i get an extraordinary amount of pulp in the juice as was stated in the you tube videos. i tried filtering it out with a large holed strainer and it clogged the strainer in a very short time. the amount of pulp in the juice is too muc

wow ...... i have been using my new gs-elite for almost two weeks now and i can tell you this about the clean up......it is very easy! the latching arms have been replaced with "snap to close" and "unsnap to open" metal "latching "clip" attachments" .....which makes it very simple to assemble and disassemble. all the parts easily fit into t

based on the fact that we already know the pulp from vrt is wetter and that pulp must be strained from the juice of the "vrt"...i am sure that the yield from greenstar will be superior....that is why i won't be doing any testing for yield. what i am interested in is the overall value comparison...and any "surprises" as far as use goes. jj

the best way to influence others is by setting a great example yourself for them to see. the less you "preach"... the better. "do your thing and do it well."..... there needs to be interest on the part of the person you are hoping to influence before they will ever hear what you are trying to tell them. i admire your desire to help others. jj

i have been quietly observing the chatter regarding the new verticle style juicer. my initial impression is that it seems to be rather cheaply made depite its high dollar cost. since most of us "juicers" on the board here do not go the extra expense of buying the baby carrots i question the validity of the testing demos which use the small carrots instead of the full sized carr

hi plainly dressed i still think that we both have the best juicing machine available.... evan though the huron slow juicer seems to an impressive machine from the video. to really see the differences we would need to compare them side by side. i can see that the pulp is going to be wetter overall with the hurom thus giving more juice per pound of produce with the twin gear system.

try my clean up method on the greenstar. clean up is mostly "between your ears" that being your attitude. it is so easy and quick.... that to make it out to be a major project is totally out of proportion. in my humble opinion..... most people are just lazy about juicer clean up. just do it... jj

clean up with the green star is a snap! everything basically rinses off except for the gears which are really easy to brush and the screen which is the only part which requires any scrubbing. not only that ....but you can leave the juicer all day and juice when you want to and then clean it at the end of the day.... i run a cup of water through it when i do that and it keeps very well till th
