I definitely suffer from hypoglycemia and over the years with being off and on high raw I recognize it now. Before I would get almost paralyzed and had to find something to lay down on before I just froze and fell down. I also learned to not let myself go too long without food (even though I was overweight) that I'd get hypoglycemic. I'm back to starting over to a high raw diet, and have weight t

I am still using the home made eye drops, I use Lugol's 5% Iodine and mix in 3 or 4 drops in a 1 oz dropper bottle with filtered or spring water. I use them every morning and have done for over 7 years. Works great for dry eye, weepy eyes, eye infections, & allergies that affect your eyes.
If you are going to start making and using your own, try adding only 1 or 2 drops of the Iodine to th

Feeling the pain in my left hand's fingers, esp. the ring finger. It's so swollen and stiff that it doesn't bend anymore. I thought it was broken but it's severe degenerative bone disease; that means I have severe osteoarthritis. I turned 62 Sept. 17th. I'm feeling tired, old, and slightly depressed with some heightened anxiety of late.
I"m gonna try to do mostly fresh

I do have a verseo aqua toner machine, it's under $100 and did work for me, then I didn't need it for many months, so I'm back to using it again. About 20 minutes on it and I'm hoping that will work as good as it did before. I'd love to have larger better vibrating machine, but so pricey!

I used to make natural soaps with essential oils, pure ingredients like lavender and oats, no artificial colors or scents. It was going very well, so your idea is very good and if you stick with things like non food products it could do well. I'm not making soap but plan on getting back doing it, but making it for pets mostly. I'm making and selling dog clothes for this last year and that's doing

Oh, this is so great, lots of useful advice, some I did before, like the losing weight being high raw, foam roller (you can now get the swim noodles in larger diameters and they are cheap and work great) stretching on my exercise ball, and so many others.

I have severe degenerative bone disease which is osteoarthritis, scoliosis and sciatica pain, hypothyroid (MD recently lowered my dose), obesity (yes I could stand to lose up to 80 lbs. again) and I'm 61 and live on a fixed low income. The only medication I take is thyroid replacement, and just started trying Aleve instead of 1 generic Excedrine every 12 hours for my hands due to the osteoarthrit

Where did all the active members go to around here? I could say that about me too! I used to be active here, but then fell off the high raw diet and eventually did not see a point to visiting.
I'm back for now, see if I can get started on a cleansing diet and back to moderate to high raw.

Is moving an option? I'm so sorry for this..I understand exactly what you are talking about. I think everyone is affected by toxins just most people are unaware since they are so toxin loaded. It's like someone not eating salt then eating something that most people eat but for them it's too salty and they can tell.

I agree that we all should customize our raw food intake to where we are at the time and as well as anyone's learning curve goes. New people will have to experiment, adapt over time, change and get in tune with their bodies. Something that as a whole we've lost.
I'm going to at the very least stay away from certain foods and drinks now that I know about how my body metabolizes fructose from ju

Yes, we are discussing how horrid these soft drinks are in another thread on "other health related' forum. I linked a video of Dr. Lustig where he discusses how bad high fructose corn syrup is for a person.
He states that a diet high in high fructose corn syrup mimics a high fat diet. Also that the sweetener metabolizes in our livers just as alcohol does.

I looked up some of the info. on how high fructose corn syrup is made, and it's a chemical reaction (hence why Tam called it artificial I would think) thru the use of enzyme action on corn starch. Anyway, it's not natural occurring. You can read some of how they do it at
I think it's important that people especially new people that come to change their SAD to a larger percentage of raw foods

He ( Dr. Lustig) doesn't say anything about 'artificial fructose', if there is even such a thing. He takes orange juice as an example and the sugar in it is sucrose and fructose, with the sucrose not causing the problem as it's the fructose that causes the problem. So forgive me if I'm not understanding him exactly, but I watched the video twice and some of his shorter videos too. I'm talking abo

Powerlifer, that statement right there is what is wrong with our thinking today.
"But to blame obesity on a single macro-nutrient alone isn't really too fair. The simple fact is people are eating too much and aren't anywhere near active enough to burn off the excess calories."

Burdock root tincture was what I used to help rid my body of excess uric acid. I liked the first bottle so much I got a 2nd bottle and used it up. I often wished I could readily find fresh burdock in my local grocery stores. Most stores now carry dandelion leaves..maybe burdock will be next.

I don't think the failure for some people to thrive on all raw foods is necessarily due to not eating anything cooked. It has more to do with the limited raw foods they eat and or perhaps the fact that eating a lot of fresh ripe sweet fruits may be a culprit. I base that surmise since I watched the above video in my first post. You know..I'd have to watch that vid again myself and maybe take note

I should have said too about Dr. Leonard Coldwell is that I am a skeptic in much of what he has to say. One thing is I never heard before is that table salt is 1/3 sand, 1/3 glass, and 1/3 salt. He goes on to say how detrimental the sand is to our bodies. So, if you take a look at his video be a healthy skeptic. But it is interesting to view.

The last part of your last sentence Powerlifer, "just keep within your caloric guidelines if weight gain is a problem", is something that the video addresses as to other causes of weight gain.

I'd like to see whatever kinds of tests they could do to see how healthy a person who has recently undergone one of the long term juice fasts (30 days or more) is with regard to their liver, and also uric acid levels.
I also ate lots of fruits when I first went raw and I lost 71 lbs. and felt great. Whole fruits have all the fiber and nutrients unlike juice. The video just raised some questio

"Sugar: The bitter truth", by Dr. Robert Lustig
I just came across this interesting video about what is making us fat as a general population. Essentially (as much as my limited knowledge permits) I understand the premise of above video that fructose by itself without the accompanying fiber as in the whole fruit and sucrose as in white sugar is what is making us fat and sick.

Looks like this is not something many people use anymore by the lack of replies.
You could try looking at curezone.com for more info. on that subject..it's bound to be there somewhere.
You could also try the rub and then post about your experience.
What if I may ask, are you using the castor oil rubs for specifically.
