Coconut Oil is rich in antioxidants, vitamin E & lauric acid. Virgin coconut oil helps your body use and absorb vitamins, amino acids, calcium magnesium, & especially essential fatty acids. Virgin coconut oil improves digestion and supports the immune system. Since Coconut oil naturally fights off viruses, bacteria, & fungal overgrowth, experts believe it's essential during a bird flu

I like the raw rolled oats better. Usually can only find on the internet though. When I use to eat them, I would soak them in water overnight. Buckwheat I've combined with chia seeds to gel together.

I recently read the reviews for the boxes and they had mostly bad reviews. It's interesting how they work well for some, but not the rest. Many said that it only kept small berries fresh and nothing else. So I guess it depends on the food. Does anyone know what type of plastic it's made out of and why it works? Just would seem like something would be toxic used to make this work. But maybe not

At the beginning of raw, having 1-2 meals with fat is good. Later your body won't require as much and some can go without it for a day or more. Hemp butter is my new favorite. Protein and fat in one and tastes good. Avocado works well in recipes if you don't like it. I use it a lot in soups.

Chlorella powder and tomato powder are great because you can just add water to make a soup and they taste good on their own. Seaweed, Dried fruit. Bars-you can keep a batch in the freezer for when you need them. Other snacks such as matter of flax crackers and hummus, granola, etc.

I was able to become raw easily because I was constantly eliminating things from my diet like dairy, red meat, white flour, etc. So by the time I decided to be raw, it was a fairly easy transition.

The real reason is because they don't realize how good the food is. Most processed/cooked produce doesn't taste very good unless it has tons of flavor added to it like chinese food. So they mistakenly think that healthy food equals bad tasting. They also don't realize how easy it is to eat healthy. This is why people need someone guiding their health other than doctors, if they're not going to do

This seems to happen if the pineapple isn't quite as ripe as it needs to be, though occasionally it can still happen. More often if conventional I think.

I've brought a variety of fruit dishes, sometimes even just the fruit alone. Puddings work well. Just throw something together with whatever you have or is the least expensive. Also, any type of pate or dip or salad.

At the beginning of being raw through the first few months for some, you may require more food. Eventually that should taper off. The main reason for you having this issue is you're eating very light meals to begin with. Heavier meals usually help cut down on the need for food-such as smoothies, soups, wraps with avocado or pate, etc. Then later you can eat lighter foods.

No one food is essential. For me they work well, especially in smoothies. I could have 2-6 bananas per day. If real small, possibly more.

I use an electric mini chopper that chops veggies, nuts, garlic, herbs, etc. and makes banana ice cream. It very small compared to a food processor & inexpensive. It's the Black & Decker 3-Cup Food Chopper model EHC650. It's so great it has almost perfect amazon reviews (over 200) and they keep raising the price, though it's still cheap. You can buy it at Target too.

Try adding 2-4 cups of baby spinach (to start with) to both smoothies. Just that alone may help with energy. Later you can experiment with other greens. Also instead of the banana alone, try adding 2-4 to your smoothies. I found smoothies with bananas help the most when you're dealing with any type of detox. Make sure the fruit you eat is raw, not frozen if possible (unless you freeze it yourself

I think it's more about finding the proper balance of foods that work for you since everyone is different. If you're worried about losing weight when you don't need to, make sure you get enough fats. Yet don't overdo it. Experiment to see how you feel. Also make sure you eat enough. For beginners, usually you need to eat more meals, more often and then later cut back. Nice photo.

Experiment with a variety of recipes. Keep it simple unless you truly enjoy preparing food. Make sure to eat a lot and eat often. For losing weight, I always recommend 5-7 small meals. With raw, at the beginning, it may need to be bigger meals or more often.

My smoothies are very smooth because I use a Vitamix. If yours are too thick, you need to add more liquid and blend longer. You may need to stop it periodically so it doesn't overheat. This is the reason why the Vitamix is worth the money. Maybe you can find a good deal on a reconditioned model. Will change your whole raw experience.

Incorporating two or more liquid meals like smoothies and soups is often a good way to feel more satisfied especially if you add fats like avocado. Also helps assimilate more nutrients. Just eating food on it's own, often it's hard to fill up or feel satisfied especially at the beginning. Later as your body gets use it you can than it more simply. Some heavier, gourmet-type meals may help too.
