Chia Seed Gel is especially good to add to a liquid meal when you need to stay hydrated. It can greatly help. Just remember the longer you soak it, the more nutrients are accessed. 10 minutes is the minimum; several hrs is even better.

You can make this recipe even simpler, by cutting out some of the spices. I love zucchini hummus. Mine has always been just as thick as bean hummus. Maybe you can try less on some of the liquids or squeezing out any zucchini water.

It's usually packed very well in the boxes. Not sure what the different carrier processes are, but most companies ship by UPS.

I LOVE Liquid Marine Phytoplankton! I use Ocean's Alive brand because it's 100% pure with no additives. It is very strong, but is something you can get use to if you choose to have it straight. You can add it to water and drink it that way or to a smoothie or juice. The most effective way to consume it is under your tongue. It seems to have all the nutrients you need, other than food of course.

I had the JE95XL juicer & after using it only a few times (spaced out over a time span of several months), it started having problems with leaving pieces of produce in the juice. Luckily I was able to return it. Now that I tried the Omega Vert that will be the only juicer I use in the future unless there's an improvement on that one or one similar.

The 32 oz Nalgene bottles are great for portable liquids since they're BPA-free (also have HDPE option) & lightweight. I've also use 24 oz glass jars. I have a 16 oz insulated stainless bottle I use to hold soup. I store the non-insulated bottles in a cooler bag.

The longer you're raw, the less you need or want nuts in high quantities. It's possible to find all those items truly raw. It just depends on how much that matter to you. For me, it does. $10 lb if bought in bulk: These are the truly raw, low temperature ones. They use to be cheaper, but they've gotten costlier in the past year. Hopefully it'll go down a bit again. Even higher quantities

The nutrient content on all raw organic food supplements are low on the labels. It's meaningless and doesn't show an accurate portrayal of how much nutrition we actually get. Yet if you look at all the synthetic labels, they all show very high amounts that are completely inaccurate because since it's not raw or organic, we absorb very little of it. A great way to test raw food supplements is on a

Some produce can work fine cut in advance like celery, carrots, beets, ginger, citrus, etc.Just store it well in air tight containers or bags. Really just do what works for you.

Basically it's a savory cravings versus sweet. There are tons of raw savory foods you can use to substitute. You can have salads, wraps, pasta, etc. You can make your own breads, chips, crackers, etc. or buy them pre-made. I found pre-made snacks were ideal to have at the beginning of raw. There are so many great companies out there. If you can make your own, even better.

You can freeze the majority of prepared raw meals. Just anything that could turn soggy you shouldn't such as lettuce & nori. Things I've tried that worked great-soup, stir fry, lasagna, tuna, stuffed peppers, pasta. You can just simplify your diet rather than eating prepared meals. But I guess that depends on where you are in your raw diet journey. It's always good to have those meals when

I've rarely not found anything on a menu. That's the rare time I will stray from organic. I would eat beforehand and feed the kids and also would bring my own food. If you eat beforehand, you can get away with just snacks. Or you can bring small densely packed meals. Puddings made with avocado or chia seeds work well. I've easily brought my own dressing in a small dropper bottle that fits in my p

Yes, it's normal to be somewhat hungrier when you first go raw. I find dense liquid meals really helps versus eating fats and other foods on their own-such as soups, puddings, smoothies, nut milks.

They have demos at various stores where you can buy it. Though often they still ship it to you. You can get better deals on-line anyhow. Back when I bought it, I didn't know about other options and paid much more at a demo. Example:

I've done tons of full-sized carrots with the Vert and had no issues. That's when you may occasionally need the plunger to push it in instead of it sucking it in alone. But mainly it goes by itself like all of the other produce. They also have a reverse button if something did get stuck. Don't know why anyone would use baby carrots for juicing anyhow since they barely give juice, not to mentio

Guess if you make it often or in large quantities a gadget can be useful. Shouldn't have to spend more than $30-40 though unless it can do tons of other things. The Spirooli Spiral 3-in-1 looks like a better tool and has gotten better reviews. I will likely be testing it within the next couple wks.

A lot of people freeze fruit in advance for the winter. Cascadian Farms frozen fruit is one of the only ones considered raw. Some will get food delivered from elsewhere, if you can afford it. Otherwise just need to get creative with what you have access to.
