I have breastfed three kids all pre-raw. I have had a good diet for years and have excersized for years. I lift weights (8 lb. dumb bells) and it makes a huge difference. I wouldn't say I look like I am twenty and have never had kids but I am 37 (oooh, 38 in a month) and have had three so I look great and I am happy. And I don't ever consider plastic surgery. We are beautiful at all the time

A new obsession for me is dried figs. I love them and I think I am needing the calcium because my nails have gotten soft since going raw.

Jicama, yes. I love jicama and had never eaten before going raw. I love to dip it. I can't always find it where I live though.

I made a mexican taco salad all raw and it was great. I made "refried beans" from sprouted garbanzo beans using Allissa Cohen's recipe. I made raw sour cream and guac.(also from Allissa) and put it all on a bed of leattuce. I had guests over and it was a hit. I also made raw "fritos" to go with it.

One of my favorites is "To Kill a Mockingbird". I have a lot of them but that one always pops into my mind when I am asked that question.

Sorry, I didn't see you asked for a pepper substitute. Hmmm, Not sure on that, maybe a stuffed tomato or just on a romaine leaf. I used to think peppers didn't agree with me but I guess My body changed because now I eat them up. I also eat a lot of parsley and cilantro together. I use it all week and when I am ready to go to the store for more I take all of what is left and make a huge salad

I had a peach the other day and it was so perfect and ripe I had to have two more. I would have eaten more if I had had them. I love eating pablano peppers. I put tahini cheese mixed with olive juice, tomatoes, cilantro, red onion, a littla avocado (you can leave that out) on top of pablano strips and it is a very spicy treat. I love it!! At first I have to say WOOOOOO! It is so hot!!! Then

My husband noticed a while back that after forgetting to put on deodorant he went all day and didn't have BO. I have notice being cleaner in my mouth and my body. Cleanliness from the inside out.

Your discussions are so intelligent and educated that I try to keep up and I feel like if just a little bit absorbs into my wee brain I will be a better educated person. Thank you. In the last 10 years our family has taken gradual steps toward healthier living. I have noticed our bodies ability to fight illness has increased with every change we have made. We used to be sick, like everyon

I had a hard time judging spices, esp. garlic and onion, at first. You get adjusted pretty quickly.

I just made a fantastic Ceasar salad I found on "from sad to raw." It was very simple too. I used an all natural non raw dijon mustard instead.

On the second week of going raw I craved tortilla chips so badly and I realized it is an addiction. The craving was as bad as when I quit cigarettes, which was the only other thing that was hard for me to quit. I wanted anything that was a cooked grain. Cereal was bad one. I know this is an addiction for me and I believe it is for most of the SAD people. I think of it as an addiction so I am

Sapphire- I don't want to overstep here but please tall me you are not going to do that surgery. Your poor body has already been through so much. When you wrote me before about your daughter leaving I was busy but had wanted to send some words of encouragement to you. I will now. I cannot imagine how tough it is to have your baby go away like that but what a terrific oppertunity for

We put dates, carob and honey in ours. It is like a foamy chocolate milk. Drink it right away, if it sits blend it up again.

Last summer I went to my OBGYN with a lot of symptoms. I told her I always have a yeast infection, thrush, I am always tired, my periods are off the charts heavy and I have milk in my left boob left over from breastfeeding which I had quit months before. She said she wanted to test for cancer and AIDS. I let her but I was really wanting to find out what my problem was and not what it was not.

I had the same problems with cravings. It gets way better. They are emotional and what I call memory cravings. Storm and Jinjee have a book on gaining weight on raw and their books help teach you to deal with cravings. You can find them at www.thegardendiet.com. When I get a bad craving I try to think about something else and I say to myself "I choose to put only healthy food in my body

I am usually the most fit, by far, person in the crowd. Let them critisize. I think it is because they are feeling inadequate with their own health. Poor, SAD people. You could always say "I am preparing to climb mountains at 60 with my grandchildren?"

I tried juicing for a while and would like to again soon but for now I am souping in my blender. I love soup. For me I can season it more to my liking and I add some vegetables to chew which helps digestion. Like it or not- I was noticing my nails softening and started worrying about calcium. I don't know about juicing them, but figs are one of the highest plant sources of calcium. I start
