Bryan, do you drink wheatgrass? I'm just curious because you have been raw for so long and you are so informative and helpful. I like to start my day with it before my fruit. I usually eat fruit all morning, sometimes into the afternoon, then veggies and some fats all afternoon. Do you all think this is good?

also, add more juicy fruits to your diet like grapes. It helps me, or cucumbers. Cucumbers usually get things going again for me

Maybe your just not used to not going so much? How many times do you go in a day? When you say constipated, when was the last time that you went? I struggle with this too. I feel constipated, but have gone in the morning. Or it could be things slowing down and adjusting, not sure, but I know how you feel.

Hellokitty, I have at least 2 in the morning. One right after the other. Basically I go, sit down and have to go again within 5 minutes. Before raw it was about 7-8 times before leaving the house. So a great deal of improvement. I have chrones though, not uc. So, I don't know if this helps you

I was just curious. It makes sense though that long timers probably wouldn't be on here most of time. I hadn't thought of that. Interesting to hear inputs. Bryan you should write an article with all that you have learned. I'd love to learn from you and your long experience. Thank you all for being so helpful Happy Thursday

Just curious how long you have been raw vegan? For me, (I'm not 100%, more 80%), but I've been on this journey for about 1 1/2 years.

Hi Wheatgrass Yogi, I have a breville juicer. Do you think that is okay? If not, do you know where I can get a cheap manual one? Thanks so much

Do you need a seperate wheatgrass juicer for fresh wheatgrass? I have a standard juicer, but I'm not sure if I can use it, and don't want to ruin it. Does anyone know?

I think you will always be detoxing because of all the chemicals and toxins in the environment that you breath in. I could be wrong though, I'm not sure.

If you don't have problems with all the food combining, go for it! I wish I could eat like that, I have to stay with mostly mono meals of fruits, and big salads that are still simple. Enjoy it, sounds delicious!

Hellokitty, Please don't worry. Be kind to yourself and give yourself props for coming this far and finding a natural drug free way to live. It's not like it's an overnight thing, it will take awhile to adjust and learn and see what works for you. I'm in the same boat as you. I have IBD also. Just breath, do the best you can and supply yourself with the best nuturients. Relax. I know its ha

Hello everyone, How do you grow an indoor vegetable garden? I live in an apartment and would like to grow vegetables year around. What would be good to plant? I was thinking little things like cherry tomatoes, mini cucumbers, snow peas, maybe some smaller type of lettuce? I'm not really sure. Actually, I'm pretty clueless about how to go about this. If anyone could share some thoughts, that

Wow, I'm with you. I didn't know that either. I thought the j-pouch was the last step and once you took that step, it was over unless you had chrones disease. Thanks for sharing. This is very interesting. I always thought, well at least I can just my colon removed as a last resort to stop the discomfort if raw foods doesnt work. thanks HelloKitty.

I've read on this forum somewhere that exercising makes you gain weight. This way she could add on some muscle mass. Does she currently exercise? Also, I've read that maybe eating less would help. Just a couple of thoughts

Hi HelloKitty! Just a suggestion but it could have been the salad. I still have a very hard time with salad. Was it a big salad? Sometimes I get away with a small-medium sized salad fine. Also, the salt in the mustard might have added to the irritatation in your colon. I find that I just have to eat salad every now and again in order to stay raw. I say it might be uncomfortable, but it's bet

Is there any way to make your own dehyrator without a light bulb? I don't have an extra one with a cord to use. I just really want to make some veggie chips to bring to work for an afternoon snack. Any suggestions or other ways to make them crispy?

I totally understand. I struggle with stress too. And on days when I'm stressed, no matter what I eat and even if I don't eat my stomach hurts. I always say stomach, but I guess I should say colon! he he . Wow your lucky you can eat raw hummus and sprouts from lentils. Well have a great weekend and hopefully you can get some rest and fun in I think you're doing a great job. I worked with Paul f

I'm sorry to hear of your trouble. I've kind of being following your posts. I have IBD too. Are you normally comfortable after eating lentils? I can eat those at all, I think its all the combining of the nutrients. Maybe try to eat more simply. That seems to work for me.
